...for another winning season. Fighting back from a huge deficit made it a good game, but a loss was expected by most Steeler fans anyway. Unlike you Stain fans, Steeler fans are realists, we don't live in MakeBelieveland, or Imaginationland, or whaterver that silly slogan of yours is. The Steelers are a good team, but not a great one (yet). The annual beating of the Clowns twice made for a good year nevertheless. Uh, couldn't the same be said about the Browns? We played you guys tough the 2nd time, but came up short in the end, and Browns fans didn't necessarily *expect* a win. And Browns fans realize we're a good team right now, but certainly not a great one.
Exactly what about Browns fans is it that you feel is unrealistic, or have you been using Madwoman's toothbrush again?

Watching the Steelers fall apart down the stretch was the most satisfying thing of all. A (1-4) finish including two losses at home to Jacksonville.
Pittsburgh stands to lose some key players this off-season while the Browns will again retain all their important players and also add some key pieces with their FA bounty of 38 million dollars of cap space.
Get all shouting in now, I'm watching that window close rather quickly in Pittsburgh.

If you steeler "fans" didn't expect to win in the playoffs, why waste the time by getting there? If you expected to lose first round, it would have been better to have a bad season and get a higher draft pick. Wouldn't it?

And for winning the division you got to stick around for 6 more days and get spanked in your own house by the same team that beat you 3 weeks earlier . You got to showcase the amazing choke artist that is Ben Rottenbooger, by the way are you aware that when Ben has to throw the ball more than 30 times he has a winning percentage of somewhere around 20% ? That is a winner right there. Once the Cowher effect wears off and Tomlin has to coach we'll see real upheaval in Peesburgh .

Actually, no. The reason you were in the playoffs wasn't because you won the division. The reason you had a home game is because you won the division.
The reason we weren't in the playoffs is because we didn't beat Cinci in week 16 of the season to clinch a playoff spot. It really had nothing to do with the fact you won the division.
Or doesn't that make sense to you?

Losing Faneca is a big deal,not OLB Clark Haggans. The Steelers will have at least 20 million in cap room next year with 41 players on the roster. More,if certain deadbeats like Sean Mahan and Tyrone Carter are released. Savage is much .better in player personnel than Colbert. The Browns are catching up,yet they're not there yet.

I don't know how you could be bragging about winning the division. Instead of making your division look good, you lost. Son, just what the hell are you babbling about? In case YOU hadn't noticed, there are a total of 12 teams that go to the playoffs. Only ONE of those teams win the Superbowl -- the rest of them are losers, whether in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round.
Yes, I happen to think that the Steelers winning the AFCN was an accomplishment for them. Considering the injuries that they had, and considering it was Tomlin's first year coaching the team, and considering that they went 8-8 last year, I'll take it.

Obviously only one team wins the super bowl. The rest are losers - and you proved my point. All I said was that the point of the playoffs is to win, and the steelers failed there.
As for the Raiders, I'll look at it the same way you did. Injuries hurt our chances of having a respectable season. Our QB was different every week. McCown got hurt early and then Cpep got hurt, too. Neither one was healthy the entire year. Also, our RB Lamont Jordan got injured and lost his starting job. Then his replacement got hurt in the final 3-4 weeks. Our leading sacker from the past couple seasons, Derrick Burgess, was injured at the beginning of the season (he came on strong at the end). There were other various injuries (just like any team had), but I think I proved my point.
Then I'll consider it was Kiffin's first year as a head coach. He got the players to have an attitude that we haven't had in a few years.
Our team isn't that talented - we still have a long way to go, but we remained competetive in all but 2-3 of our games. We lost 6 games by a TD or less.
Considering we were 2-14 last year, I think doubling our win total is a big accomplishment even if it was only 2-4 wins.
Then we have JaMarcus Russell. He played a few series before he got the start and he played well. Minus the game against Jacksonville where he threw 3 picks and lost a fumble (kind of like Roethlisberger). In his first start, he completed 75% of his passes for 224 yards a TD and an INT. Not bad in my opinion.
So, although the record doesn't show it, Oakland is at least much more competitive than before and that is a huge improvement.

Even if they were the underdog, you are still a terrible fan for not even thinking the steelers had a chance. A real fan would have hope; not "expect" them to lose like you did. Take a look at the chargers. They weren't expected to win today and they did - with injuries, too. I know some charger fans who had faith in their team.

Snacks, I was corrected once for using the term "only" to describe myself. You aren't "only" a Raiders fan, you ARE a Raiders fan and that means you are still important even if your team sucks You stick by them through the good times and the bad even if people bust yer chops about it. So hold your head high and be proud that you are of the Raider Nation. I hold my head high about being a Browns fan no matter if we have a winning season or not. (this year is just a bit better with a 10-6 season)
