Only in Libland can a 20 year combat veteran be morphed into a Russian agent -- get this -- because Hillary Clinton said so. It would be so embarrassing to have these puppets as your party's mouthpieces.

Trump does not look good when he admits that the El Salvadorian President owns him and his administration...having to admit they aren't capable of getting Garcia out of tiny lil country of El Salvador.
Look at how far the USA has fallen with Trump as the GOP leader.
Maybe seal team six should take over as CIC and restore some strength and dignity to our great country.

There is no doubt in my mind at all that Trump is in Putin’s pocket. Owned outright. It’s obvious and blatant at this point. But stick you head in the fairytale sand and pretend it’s not true. Hell you sound like a Russian asset most days. You damn sure don’t sound like a patriotic American.

Well, I could never be as patriotic as you. And yes, I think there's every reason to take your word as gospel. I mean, afterall, you are the one that said *checks notes* Biden was fit for office and Kamala would win in a (wait, what does that say??) uhh, landslide. And there's always more... this was a favorite... If he could it'd be awesome. There's a businessman I'd get behind for Potus.

Yet his approval rating keeps going down. Some may not have changed their minds yet, but if things don't turn around they are getting closer and closer to doing so.

Nobody's changing their mind. We just watched a four-year disaster in which we had no idea who was even running the country. We were lied to at every turn -- told black was white and white was black. Now we're watching what's left of your party throw a non-stop toddler tantrum through every news cycle with absolutely no platform. And still with the "Nazi, fascist, threat to democracy, constitutional crisis" being yelled into the air, while you celebrate domestic terrorism.
Nobody's changing their vote no matter how much pain. Keep dreaming, we'll wake you up in 2036, you may actually have a puncher's chance by then.

I understand that you don't think threatening to take away FCC licenses from networks and news shows who don't say what you want them to say isn't a big deal to you. You don't see that as being fascist.
I understand that a president signing an executive order for the DOJ to investigate his political enemies doesn't seem like fascism to you.
I understand that you think an administration ignoring court orders as though the rule of law does not exist doesn't seem fascist to you.
I could continue but it doesn't make any difference to you. The economy is the #1 priority for voters. If trump screws that up all of your predictions mean nothing. What percentage of people do you think need to change their vote to change the election results anyway?

For the sake of people who read my posts, I absolutely agree with what Todd is saying. It's been a flaw of the Dems going back to the end of Obama. What he said, however, does not diminish the fact that the wealthy elites have sway over Republicans, or Democrats for that matter. If anything, his argument reinforced the problem of having outsized megadonors.

I think you're getting close to getting it.... Dems did that and got embarrassed in two of those elections. Musk wasn't elected or appointed or anything, so now he's getting crushed on the revenue sheet. You're so close to getting it.

Dem establishment is already trying to crush Bernie and AOC because they can’t believe people want reps to work FOR THE PEOPLE instead of the rich. That’s why Schumer is getting trounced. Jeffries is another establishment sweetheart. I do not want that spineless man as speaker.
But now is not the time for massive in-fighting. Now is the time to fight the blatant fascist authoritarian’s every move in the courts, in the streets, on the airwaves, online, and everywhere else the hate and lies have poisoned America. I’m glad to see that progressives are getting onboard and sensible libs are too. Time to leave the establishment out like roadkill and drive on by.
David Hogg has a plan to purge them. I hope he accomplishes this goal because we’ll need another FDR style admin after this colossal FUBAR of an administration.

You need to get with the program, comrade… You know damn well they (establishment dems) kept Bernie from winning the nomination twice. I mean how many more Trump terms do YOU want to be responsible for? It’s time for reps that rep the people and not the 1%. And that means a progressive government. If you can’t be on board with that, maybe you should just join the cult.

Yeah but come on, David Hogg? It's odd that neither Bill Clinton nor Obama were what you are describing and both were big winners.
As far as I'm concerned I don't really care how progressive a candidate is as long as they can focus on issues that every day Americans care about and vote on. They can't keep focusing on fringe issues that the vast majority of voters object to or don't care about. It sends a message to voters that you are ignoring the very things that impact their life while spending your time focusing on things that don't.
I think their message about taxing the rich healthcare and getting big money out of politics are all issues they can win with. But I actually can't think of a moderate democrat that doesn't say those very things and it was Obama who got the ACA passed. It's not as if I'm against a progressive agenda. At least to a point.
But when you step out on the fringe and become too vocal about fringe issues it alienates the people who actually show up to vote for the most part. One thing I've learned is that if you want to help those on the edge of society you first have to get elected.
And I know you're going to throw Biden and Kamala's name out there. Biden simply didn't have four more years left in him and Kamala wasn't even nominated by the voters. The GOP did a great job of blaming covid inflation which was global on Biden and the democratic party did a terrible job of showing otherwise and messaging overall.
None of this is as simple as you're making it out to be.

Clinton was elected fairly, so was Obama. The neocon establishment started with the Clinton Political Machine. Obama was a movement similar to Bernie, but based on him being a qualified and well liked black nominee. The establishment was bulldozed. I was republican at the time Clinton was elected. I voted for Obama twice, happily. Good man and great POTUS for his time. Clinton not so much, but also not so bad.
Trump is literally the first Republican or Democrat that I see as entirely unfit for the office. And before him, I accepted the men who won even if I didn’t vote for them.
That said, the neocon establishment must be busted up or we will get another Trump. People who trust the left’s leadership are sick and tired of being sold out for the elite’s gain. This is what really gave us Trump. People have lost hope for the future with the same ole same ole, and that is what the establishment represents on both sides. It’s not rocket science. And it’s why Trump was able to con the right.
And before Clinton, dems were more a working man’s party supporting unions, fair wages, etc. So were the Kennedy era Republicans. But both parties slowly became tools for the elite’s gain to increase wealth and power. We were sold out slowly, over time, by both parties.

You seem to misunderstand what I'm saying. I never questioned Bernie or AOC being out there spreading that message. What you are speaking of in actuality is nothing more than subtle differences between us. Maybe you should look at the message that trump actually sold people on. It was over LGBTQ. Over DEI. Which as you described is nothing more than racism differently packaged. It was over the economy first and foremost which as I described the Democrats should have pounded home was a global issue and not a Biden issue. The trump campaign used race, hate and lies to get elected. They used fear to get elected.
I mean it's not like I don't understand and at least to some degree agree with you. But once again I can't think of a single democrat that doesn't agree with getting big money out of politics and taxing the rich.
We argee about trump. But his winning was at least in part due to him pounding home the most extreme parts of a liberal agenda was something shared by all democrats. And it worked.
What probably bothers me about where the Democratic party is the most at this current time is that they are so divided they seem to act as though it's the very same people that agree with them on 90% of the issues are now their enemy too. They'll never win anything that way.
And the there's an obvious math problem some still can't wrap their minds around. One third of voters are Republican. They would vote republican if the GOP ran Rodger Rabbit. One third of voters are Democrat. They would vote democrat if they ran Chester Cheetah.
Then we have the people who actually decide elections. The one third of voters who are independent. That's the people who decide elections. That's who has to buy into your message no matter which party you are. That should always be your target audience.

If dems wanted to get money out of politics, why haven’t they? I mean they had plenty of opportunity. They give lip service to that ish, but after the elections they go back to business as normal because they are bought and paid for by lobbyist for the elite. This is the disconnect we seem to be having imo. I know you agree in principle, but you don’t see the DNC as a threat, I do. the DNC pushes the establishment loving neocon dems who want to keep that lobbyist money flowing into congressional bank accounts. They thought Biden was their boy, but he moved left on them.

Citizens United ruling. As much as I don't like that SCOTUS ruling some people still believe court decisions matter.
Like I said before, some people try to paint the very people who agree with them on 90% of everything as being an enemy. That's why until it changes they will never win elections.

I’m not doing that to you at all. I’m not painting you anything. Hell PIT, I don’t even think about your politics until we butt heads, and here we are not butting heads. I’m just talking facts. The establishment neocons are no more helpful than the trickle down economics that both parties engaged in. Time should have taught you both lessons. Forget the politics of the last 50 years, we need a new path forward.

In reality if liberals all bended a knee to Trump. Today’s republican would still hate US.
