Curious where Jack Sawyer is going to go today. I always liked his motor.

Looking to see if we add some OL depth. I'd say WR too but don't know of any good ones.

Also curious if my fellow Bearcat, RB Corey Kiner, goes today. I'd like to add Skattebo but don't think he'll be there at our pick. We could always trade up, I suppose.

j/c I'm hoping for Billy Bowman, DB. We need to shore up our pass defense....

D'onte Thornton and Brashard Smith are some dart throws I'd like to try to inject some more explosiveness into the offense.

Couldn't find anything about Smith but Thorton is 6'5 and ran a 4.3 forty

Other Wr's
Tez Johson and Xavier Restrepo
Neither that big or fast
They just seem to be uncoverable

IMO we need a WR

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Probably could use a Cb as well

My round 6/7 guy is Mitch Richmond LT Iowa

Being biased here, but I would love to see us pick TE Luke Lachey from Iowa with our 6th rnd pick, he's my cousin (former NFL player) Jim Lachey's boy.

We need some playmakers IMO for offense. Flacco can spin the ball well enough to spread it around. But our offense needs help.

Hall, Briggs, Collins, Graham, and Harris are enough DTs for me. Think Wright and McGuire can kick inside, too. Also have the CFL guy (Holley?).

There's not a ball of clay OL that grabs me this year (still on the board.) I'd just as soon keep working with last year's developmental guys. Cohen/Lorenzo. Added FAs in Jenkins and Lucas.

Safeties in this class also don't do much for me. I wonder if Needham (recent-ish FA signing) slots at safety for us. Wouldn't hate Malachi Moore, but not really the backend eraser I'm looking for.

I'm looking at WR and RB, too. Think we could use a real burner with a bit of size at WR. Think we could use a move around RB that can create in space. Looking for specific/individual complementary traits at this point.

I agree, we were already lacking at WR and we didn't re-sign Elijah Moore and our only addition has been DeAndre Carter who is mostly known as a returner.

Brashard Smith-Former WR at Miami that played RB for SMU this year. Change of pace guy, but electric with the ball. Could help at returner as well. ~1500 all purpose yards. Achane-ish. Bubba had a close look at the Senior Bowl.

After thinking things over

The Wr I want is Restrepo
Saw him and he was uncoverable

I love Scattebo
Culture changer
But also bring in 1-2 UDFA Rb's

Round 7
I would take a chance on Deone Walker
He is a 1st round talent in my mind
Most thought high round 2
But has dropped 2' concerns about his back
As a round 7 lottery pick? Count me in

Top UDFA
Mitch Richmond
I like him as a round 6 guy but the more I see, he likely goes undrafted
As a run blocker he seems like a shield the defenser guy
But as a pass protector, he doesn't get beat

I'm surprised that Deone Walker is still on the board myself. Which gives me pause to think that NFL FO's may know much more than we do about his back issues.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I'd love to see the Browns take either Jalen Royals or Elic Ayamanor at the WR position.

I'd also like to see them take another RB, preferably Jordan James or Dylan Sampson. Lots of good RBs left.

Some options at OG that I like are Miles Frazier and Marcus Mbow. At OT Chase Lundt is an intriguing option.

Jah Joyner is a DE that I like. Deon Walker is a DT with freakish size.

I'm convinced Sean McVay is going to draft Xavier Restrepo in the 6th round and he'll catch 85+ balls per year.

Jalen Royals would be a good pick

I know this isn't going to be popular, but free agency hasn't been kind to some former Browns. Once the draft is over we could bring back some players familiar to the offense to hold us over until we can get some more players next year...

WR Elijah Moore, played pretty well with Flacco two years ago
OT Jedrick Wills, we know he isn't elite at this point, but he will also be the best option we currently have for 2025
RB Nick Chubb

If we fail to get a second RB, Chubb should be one of the first calls on Sunday. I don't think any other teams are going to give him a starters contract, which is what I think his agent was asking for. A $3M, incentives to get him to a max $7M should get him back in the building.

Wills should be even cheaper than that

I don't know what Moore is thinking at this point, but not everyone is going to come away from the draft with a WR, the way they will RBs.

Wills will not be back on the team. Wills made a business decision. The Browns made a business decision.

That's just mean spirited. The guy is probably going through a wave of emotions right now and doesn't deserve that.

I thought Sanders was overrated and didn't like the idea of the toxic environment that may come along with the pick but there was simply no call for that. I certainly don't wish he or his family any ill will.

From a March 12 article - only pasting the pertinent part:

Kentucky's monstrous defensive tackle, Deone Walker, was one of the most impactful players in the country in 2023. However, the 6-foot-6, 345-pound junior struggled to repeat his performance in 2024, and he saw his NFL Draft stock plummet.

This week, Walker revealed he was dealing with a fracture in his back this past season. Yes, he had a broken back, and was not always featured on the injury report.

Texas Football Might Do Something VERY Different This Spring...Texas Football Might Do Something VERY Different This Spring...
“It was a pars defect,” Walker said. “That’s big terminology for me. I don’t know what that means, but it healed itself up. Now, I only gotta do PT to keep it right.”

Evaluators were wondering what was going on with Walker this past year. His shocking blend of power and speed for his size was zapped, and his leverage was even worse than before. He went from a top 10 projection to late Day 2 range.

Well Sawyer is now the enemy. I’ll root for his failure until he no longer wears that awful outfit. Just like Heyward, or Dobbins, or any other former Buck that plays for the enemies.
Captain Jack is dead to me.

Yeah that is the type players the Steelers get that haunt the Browns for a decade.

Later Rb's to consider

LaQuint Allen Syracuse - former Wr
Would be a great 3rd down back

Kalel Mullings Michigan
Former Lb - runs the ball like one

Damien Martenez Miami
Runs like you would expect a Damien to run

Raheim Sanders South Carolina
Run like he is a torpedo

Multiple others
I would wait a round or 2 but I would definitely grab a 2nd Rb
