Top remaining Wr - per NFL.com and their scouting report

Jalen Royals

Overview
Skilled and instinctive, Royals might lack the desired explosiveness, but he makes up for it with his body control and feel for the game. He has good size and is keenly aware of defenders around him, which allows him to adjust routes and improve his chances on contested catches. He’s a decent route-runner but doesn’t have the short-area foot quickness and burst to open wide windows for his quarterback. He’s excellent as a zone-beater and uses plus body control and play strength to bring in catches in traffic. Royals is a smooth athlete who can play inside or outside and is best suited for an offense that will value him as a possession target over the first two levels.

Strengths
Keenly aware of where defenders are positioned.
Smooth insertion of wrinkles and leverage into his routes.
Fights hard for his catch space on contested throws.
Works aggressively back to the throw.
Impressive body control and coordination to get catch-ready.
Gets into run mode before the ball touches his hands underneath.
Can be hard to bring down by first tackler in the open field.

Weaknesses
Just two seasons as a full-time player and producer in college.
Lacks desired suddenness to shake an NFL press.
Early vertical push fails to concern defenders.
Shows slight rounding of the break at the top of the route.
Average foot quickness and burst to separate.

My plan is to go with what NFL FO's are actually doing rather then press releases and articles. My main reason for doing so is I can't think of a single player coming out in the draft who wouldn't put the most positive spin as possible on an injury. I place my belief on motive. A player has every possible motive to put the best spin on it as possible. NFL FO's only do research and make their draft picks on what they feel is in the best interest of their team. It's just hard for me to believe that he is still sitting on the board going into round 4 if the injury checked out okay. But hey, that's just my opinion and an explanation of why I believe that.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Yeah that is the type players the Steelers get that haunt the Browns for a decade.

I was thinking the same exact thing. It's inevitable

Well, the lady wore a Chubb jersey to announce the end of Nick Chubb in Cleveland.

Not a fan of Sawyer going to PIT.

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Just sharing what the back injury was as it explains his drop

Great moment for Barryn Sorrell. Waiting in the Green Room through day three and getting a hero's welcome from the Green Bay fans when drafted. Awesome seeing him walk out in the crowd for the love and admiration.

Dylan Sampson is a good back. He is explosive and can hit home runs out of the back field or in the passing game. Good pick. The Browns are going to get back into running the football. I think they need an Olineman and a blocking tight end to finish this draft off.

Yep. That sucks. It's hard to get past the "business" sometimes. Probably the only other jersey I'll always wear with equal pride is my Kevin Mack original.

Best blocking TE in the draft is still available
CJ Dippre Alabama

Luke Lachey Iowa also still available
Oline and Wr would be nice as well

We have needed a ball hawking safety for a decade
Several were available in this draft though most have been taken already

Sampson was an excellent pick. I always felt we need to draft 2 backs in this deep class.

He had a late season injury that led to a drop. He has 2nd round talent.

Judkins and Sampson, our Thunder and Lightning.

As for Nick, I don't think this precludes him being signed back. At this point it would be a more symbolic signing than anything, but teams carry 4 backs, so would he want to carry Chubb over Strong?

For me, I say Strong. I think Nick has given enough and about all he can give. He is already on his way to knee replacement in his 40's and walking with a cane by the time he hits his late 50's. Thats what his future is today. I won't be alive for any of that but sure wouldn't want to see him in a wheelchair in his early 70's.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Something that really has nothing to do with the ability of the players we drafted, but I noticed when we drafted Dylan Sampson, he was pick 126. Using simple math, it occurred to me that pick 126 when Jim Brown was drafted was the 10th round. Makes you wonder how many good players never got a chance back then.

So with the trade up here in the 5th rnd to pick Sanders it looks like we are now done in this draft.

The draft is over for the Browns and as much as I like most of the picks, not a single OL person selected and no WR. With LT still being a huge question mark and the other 4 north of 30 and in the final year of their contracts, not addressing any portion of the line seems like a huge fail to me. I particularly don't care how good the Browns skill players are, if you don't have a good line they will struggle especially any young QB. As many pundits claim, a team should draft a QB every year. I firmly believe you should be adding at least 2 OL persons every year also. If you can't open holes and pass protect, it doesn't matter who your QB is or skill players. Last year should have been a warning and it was clearly ignored by the Browns.

I think it's pretty obvious to most that you aren't going to make up for losing 3 1st round draft picks and more in a single draft. It's also obvious that once you get to the later rounds of the draft most players selected are fliers and projects you simply see some potential at developing. The fact they couldn't address everything in a single draft doesn't mean they "ignored" anything. It means that to address the needs will take at least this year and next years draft. But this is the spin i expected from you. Flo should be along shortly to share your view.
