FFS. Haslam stepped in and made the pick.
This makes no sense.

I still would have preferred a taller QB but at least he is over 6 feet tall. I like this pick much much much better than Gabriel.

I though the Browns had learned their lesson with diva QB's.

Well, I was hoping this did NOT happen much like Johnny Manziel BUT I have to Root for him now. Maybe just maybe we finally got Lucky.

If not for the Dillon Gabriel selection, I would be saying the Browns FO was brilliant for getting him in the 5th but now, I am just wondering what the plan is.

such a weird outcome of this draft
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

This is the first pick made that I can say I just don't like. But he is now a Brown and as such I will hope for the best. At least they took a flyer on him in round 5 rather than taking a bigger gamble on him earlier in the draft. That's the only silver lining I could find to hang my hat on with this pick.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

It turned out exactly like I predicted. Trading up in the fifth round after we took Gabriel in the 3rd.

The first meeting between Dillion and Sanders should be fun.

Deion Sanders is going to be on the phone with Bill Musgrave all the time. A direct line to the coaching staff. Groan.
This QB room seems like a bad idea.

I like it from a value perspective.
He is a 5th rounder and QB is the most important position in football.
This team has struggled to the Nth degree re: QB.....we drafted two, we signed two, and we have the draft capital to potentially draft one in 2026.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

5th round lottery pick. He may do nothing but if he plays 75% of some experts think, then we got a steal.

Wonder if the Browns will implement a dress code on limiting the number of chains you can wear.......Showboat is here, WOW....I'd love to watch the competition between Sanders and Gabriel.....wonder who will get the most reps......Browns, we be UNPREDICTABLE....hope it works out for the Browns---he could be TRADED after doing well in preseason.....time will tell.

Come on man, you are usually close to spot on. We are looking for a QB. Bring them in and let them compete. Find the best 3 and go. It wasn't 4 days ago we had many people on the board wanting him at pick #2.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

This team has struggled to the Nth degree re: QB.....we drafted two, we signed two, and we have the draft capital to potentially drat one in 2026. As simple as that. Value and take a flyer You don’t have any ties to him. Either he puts his hard hat on and works or you cut him. This isn’t we are stuck with you. We have others fighting for that spot AND next year, we will have a possible first rounder that will be knocking on that door.

last thing we need is OBJ at the QB position

It will be easier to cut a QB that we drafted in the 3rd or 5th round if we have to than all the ones we drafted in the 1st and 2nd rounds. Let them all compete and see how it shakes out. We may get a good draft pick for one of our 4 if a team out there really needs one. Not a fan of the pick but Sheuder is now a Brown, so he'll have my support and hope he becomes a top QB for us.

Amen, hope Sanders come in knowing- 1) privilege to play in NFL, 2) his Dad won't be his coach AND he can show HIS knowledge and work ethic, and 3) NFL stands for not for long- hope he gives us his best and becomes a star or has good trade worth......GO Browns!!!!

Well we should also get safety Shilo Sanders as an UDFA.

If anyone has seen the picks over the past couple of days, Berry looks the same......not really smiling and clapping faster than everyone else. This is overthinking it.
