My point is it hasn't been just one game. We have had it in wins and probably every loss. Why overlook it or flush it? Many games have come down to last few minutes; the third quarter was deadly for us earlier in the season. This point showed today in our paper as a concern that needed addressed before the playoffs and I agree. My last post on this; you win your case for the lower bar.

Cavs were physically dominated by the Clippers last night. Zubac absolutely bullied them last night. It was getting absurd. Mitchell’s shot has been off the last couple of games.
A chance to rebound tonight. Very winnable games the rest of the road trip.

I'd tank the rest of the west coast road trip and opt for rest. The team looks, and is playing like they're tired. Do just enough to lock up the #1 seed in the East. Boston does not care about home court advantage. Just keep guys healthy for the playoffs.
Merits consideration. Multiple losses looked real similar. My concern is forming bad "habits" before the playoffs. Proving we can compete (and lose) to stronger top-shelf teams; need a fresh look at our "closer" mix. Maybe rest is the answer, but I would consider changing up some aspects of our play end-of-game to avoid duplicating repeating this outcome. This home stretch offers a chance to tinker safely.

Just dropped 4th in a row. Celtics within 5.5. Not good.

Crap game against Detroit tonight. Man, down big most of the game, then they come back to within one ...... then blow it from there out to lose by 11. Really disappointing game.

I haven't commented much, but it seems we are in the coast mode until the playoffs now
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
Really concerned about the consistency we lack; assume part of it has to be the number of players being rotated. We need to avoid complicating things and crippling the chemistry. I wish us luck. Hope we flip the switch from "barely enough" to "domination." Being at Home helps. Go, Cavs! For the Land!

Cavs make early statement with dominant 121-100 win over Miami Heat in playoff series opener Updated: Apr. 20, 2025, 11:32 p.m.|Published: Apr. 20, 2025, 9:34 p.m. Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Miami Heat in game 1 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs, April 20, 2025
By Chris Fedor, cleveland.com CLEVELAND, Ohio — About an hour before tipoff, a small group of Cavs players were sitting inside the locker room scrolling through their phones — a usual pregame occurrence — when one of them pulled up the final score of the Oklahoma City-Memphis series opener (131-80).
“They set the tone. They sent a message,” he said. “We need to do the same tonight. Show them why we are the No. 1 seed.”
Cleveland did, beating eighth-seeded Miami, 121-100, in the first-round series opener Sunday night at Rocket Arena. The Cavs lead the best-of-seven, 1-0.
Home is good to us. I think Jerome may have bailed them out. Some solid ball happened. We seemed a little casual in spots. Do it in four or five. For the Land!

Cavs and Boston are headed for a showdown. I think Boston is better, but it will be a fun series
The west is a little more jumbled IMO, espeically after OKC

Looking for the best effort of the series from us today. We need more intensity than last game. We won't survive late collapses with some of the folks we will see who are outworking, out hustling, and out rebounding us IMO. Rely less on the threes. We need to decide to play a more deadly D. Some of what we need to challenge opponents is technical and matchup manipulations. But like tackling, a huge part of the task is deciding you want to and forcing your will on your opponent until you win. For The Land!

This one wasn't pretty ...... unless you're a Cavs fan, that is.

Man, it's easy to see the contrast between teams like the Cavs and the Lakers. Lakers have no bench. JJ Redick had the same 5 on the floor for 24 minutes straight. James and Doncic logged 46 minutes each -- and combined for one bucket in the 4th.
Needless to say, they ran out of gas, in near embarrassing fashion. The Wolves have outscored the Lakers in the fourth quarter of every game by a total of 105-69
At 3-1, this one's over. I wonder if it's enough to make LeBron walk away.
It's a tight one so far, with the Cavs hanging on to a 42-14 early lead.

We lost 3 out of 4 to Indiana this year. Even if you throw out our last game (we rested half the dam team lol) they still beat us 2 out of 3 times. I don't see such huge blowouts in this series.
