What a weird draft. I’m not saying it’s bad. Just weird. Two RB’s, Two QB’s and a first round not too many (other than me 😜) predicted.

Also, if the Sanders pick was Haslam, the look on Berry’s face is all about what’s happening to his draft plan for next year. It’s not like they’re going to be able to fully vet 2 new QB’s in one year. I was against Sanders for no reason greater than drama. We are a team that needs to avoid drama. We need stability. Deion and his son are pure drama. Oh well, here we go.

The best news is though, they have (4) like QBs in that room for Stefanski's system. One, the veteran of the group, that has already played in that system. I would love to be at these mini camps coming up. They really need to sign about 6 UDFA WRs now to catch as many balls as possible. Take two to Berea and two to Browns stadium and get as many reps as possible to implement the system.

Edit: Send Special teams to Browns stadium to learn the wind, give the offense and defense as much room in Berea.

I wouldn't rule out a Pickett trade for a 6th or 7th rounder.

The best thing going for the Browns is the fact that Deon is still the Colorado coach. He will be knee deep in trying to get that team to the next level, he won't have time to worry about his boys... unless he doesn't give a crap and is just going through the motions in 2025 to move on the pros.

Sure sounds like it. He made it plain when he first bought the Browns. "It is a marketing world we live in, and let's be realistic about that."

we are going to keep 3 of the 4 QBs (my guess is we trade Pickett after camp or put Gabriel on the PS)

I don't hate this like many. Its the 5th round pick. He's either a high 2nd round talent, maybe 3rd round. If the coaching staff can manage the egos and drama, it gives the Browns a better chance if finding a solution to a position we've got a problem with than not having him .....KS and coaches have to be strong to make it work. Happy to wait and see.

Every NFL GM in need of a QB has shown that to be incorrect. Only the talking heads made such claims.

Yeah, that added dimension being put on their plate is just what they needed.

Finally something for the fans to be excited about. I know the Browns are practically ALLERGIC to it.

Haslam pulling rank is the only thing that explains this after the Gabriel pick (which I hated). But here we are with the guy everyone thought we would take at No. 2 overall until a couple of weeks ago, when everyone decided he is an [censored]. Well, he is accurate, tough and pro-ready and we got him for a song. Hopefully, this humbling experience knocked the diva out of him. It just might work.

This move feels like one, or both, of Flacco and Pickett should be worried about their roster spot with the Browns. Why not let Shedeur start to see what you have? If he fails, most likely you have an early pick to draft (or trade for) a QB. If he becomes a fQB then you have two first rounders for other needs in 2026.

I dunno, Flacco and Pickett's value waned a bit as a result of drafting 2 QBs.

I think Flacco is secure. He has succeeded in the system before and is a hell of a mentor and locker room guy too. He would be a much better sideline guy than Pickett, especially for two rooks.

For the record, if only one goes, I'd prefer Pickett to go. Flacco's track record with Stefanski means a great deal.

Pickett is gone.

The job is Flacco's to lose. The rooks can watch how a vet prepares for game day every week.

Context matter.

Sheuder as a a first rounder maybe isn’t the most optimal option but to draft him in the fifth round is a steal.
He’s born in the spotlight but as the son of Prime everything he does will be compared to probably one of the best NFL players ever, that burden shouldn’t be overlooked.

Being drafted so late will of course ruffle his feathers and maybe that’s the best medicin he can get.

My biggest concern is unfortunately Berry and Stefanski taking care of him.
Their record with nurturing young talents isn’t the best, and if we look at how they have taking care of other young men with attitude and a unapologetic ego then the odds are unfortunately quite low that they will succeed to transform him to a FQB.

Imagine telling us in January or February, when Sanders was going to go first or second and Mason Graham was a top 5 guy, that we would get both, plus Judkins and another first-rounder next year.

Deion taking the phone and asking Berry to be put back on so he can talk to him. Totally normal.

The short answer is, yes.

They currently have 14 offensive linemen on the roster. My guess is they weren't thinking O-line at all.

We have one of the best CB rooms in the league, we could use another safety, but this wasn't a great draft for safeties. Who are you replacing in the draft and who would you have taken in that spot? It's about BPA if it coincides with need, all the better. We aren't scouts, so their draft board is a lot different than yours, mine or any talking head that thinks they should be a GM.

There was an absolute need for two RBs.. the QBs have me shaking my head, but in the 5th round, the value was there for the most important position in the NFL.

Schefter mentioned how well Jimmy and Deion hit if off and liked each other.

Yikes. Berry looks pissed.

Haslam probably threatened to fire him after that terrible pick at 94 last night.

I wouldn't "let" either of them - or even 'any' of them start. Flacco would be the pressumptive starter - but all of training camp and at least 3/4 of preseason would be an open competition for starter and back up #1. I honestly could care less if it is JF - Gabriel or SS .... whoever looks like the better option to win (and develop) let them play.

Whether he is putting on a brave face or whether he feels everything he is projecting - I don't really care. After all the hype and then being drafted in the 5th round .... that's impressive to me. Damn, damn impressive. I can root for a kid like that. I hope the attitude doesn't sour.

If we're drafting BPA, it's a great move. If you would have asked just about anyone that matters before the draft if they thought getting Shedeur in the 5th was a steal, you would have gotten a resounding
"YES!!!" What bothers me more is Will Howard going to the steelers.

man guys, yall think there's some legit tin-foil hat stuff going on, just wasn't a good prospect at the position, or possible a mixture of both?
