I know that, you know that and a lot of people know that. But sometimes the truth doesn't matter to people trying to weave a false story.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I think Sanders could and should thrill more than half of Canada.

Holy Moly!

21 or not, my kid would be close to seeing the face of God after I discovered that.

According to Todd McShay, Shedeur Sanders had a VERY poor visit with the Giants.

Sanders was provided an install package to study prior to the meeting and he did not prepare for the meeting at all.
Brian Daboll called him out for it and apparently Sanders didn’t take too kindly to that. Daboll was not a fan of Sanders not after that.

Sanders apparently had bad interviews and visits with multiple teams in the league…

I enjoyed the Sanders not being drafted media

Then there goes the Browns and ruined all by drafting

Shedeur might have another year of college eligibility if he chooses to challenge the NCAA.

He might make more in NIL money playing one more year college ball than if he plays in the Pros on a rookie contract.

Florio explains the situation at the link below...

I will say, I just watched film on Sanders and I am impressed by his long ball accuracy. Sure, some of those were to Hunter, but his passes to Wester and some of the other guys were pretty well placed also.

If we can suck in the safeties to respect the run game, he might be effective in terms of getting it over the top.

I usually pay attention to these things, but somehow I guess I totally missed what it was that Deion Sanders supposedly said that ticked off NFL GM's and turned them off on his son..

Thinking about this pick for a few days has helped give me some prospective that I guess I didn't have when it was announced. Sanders was supposed to be one of this drafts bright and shining stars at QB..... Literally all of the Talking heads thought so and said as much.. Some strongly and others a little less. The Browns picked him up so late that even if the kid bombs (seems doubtful) he's a steal. So what the heck. Take a shot. See what happens.

As for the Haslams pushing this pick, listen, they've spent billions on this team, so they forced a 5th round pick. So what? (that's if they really did that) Somewhere along the line, the Haslams have earned the right to make a few decisions.

I don't feel this way about it, if they truly forced the Watson deal.. That was meddling. Or if they'd have forced a first rounder that the GM and Coach didn't want. Again, meddling. But the 5th round,, Who cares!

I agree with your take. A 5th rounder so what take a shot. I just was concerned about any drama hopefully there's none. As far as Jimmy Haslam I've been supportive. I think he's a good owner who is willing to spend money to bring a winner to Cleveland. I honestly believe we're fortunate as Browns fans to have him. What other owner would be honest and admit the mistake with DW. Not many.

I agree about Jimmy Haslam. We have an owner that wants to win and spends the money. They took a shot on Watson. They thought he was talented enough to win a super bowl. That shot missed. Re load and take another shot. Hopefully this one works.

My take is that, should there be drama with Shedeur, you cut bait. Whatever the hype was pre-draft, he was a fifth round pick. Fifth round picks don't have the luxury of drama.

If things don't work out with Shedeur, and I hope he becomes our FQB, then we just cut or trade him. A 5th round bust won't hurt. We all know how many 1st round picks of ours and not just QB's have amounted to nothing. It was a good gamble that could pay big dividends, and it won't cost us 230 million either!

I can agree with a lot of what you say here, what's way more concerning than this incident is the pattern.

Haslam engineered the move to draft Manziel. People gawked at the "value" because he slid so far in the 1st round. We ended up with a catastrophe, and it all started in the QB room long before it ended on the field. Brian Hoyer and Manziel did not get along. Manziel knew his progress was being prioritized and Hoyer was trying to play football -- not be some snotty-nosed-kid's mentor. Hoyer was 6-3 on the season (9-3 over the last 12) but before the second upcoming loss was booked, JFF was on the field.

I won't be surprised when this happens again. Not saying it will -- just saying I won't be surprised. I don't mean Sanders forcing someone off the field, I mean a broken QB room. Before round five, I was looking at "Okay, seasoned vet with probowl pedigree; dude trying to work his way into another shot; rookie running around soaking up everything, with only himself in the way of future success. I like it!" After the fifth I was point-blank like "WTF", and I bet Gabriel's reaction was stronger than mine.

IMO the Watson debacle, was 90% Haslam flexing on the league with GM and coach along for the ride. And besides the major instances of his tail wagging the dawg, I personally think the dude is probably constantly micromanaging what goes on in Berea. I could definitely be wrong, but I'm starting to think hoping for Haslam to change is about as futile as when we held out those hopes for Johnny's bong smoking partner-in-crime.

It's funny how Deion went from "Some teams are "off-limits" due to factors like cold weather, poor QB development, and lack of playoff success."

To please somebody, anybody draft my kid!

A lot of those types of prop bets aren’t allowed in Ohio. It was the same with draft pick props and college player props.

anybody buying the theory that this was done to keep the ratings up throughout the draft? Browns were always gonna pick (cause of haslam) Sanders.

I dunno how plausible that is. but who knows...

Of course on the internet I have heard by many it was a case of racism. But I have trouble believing that. Not that racism no longer exists because it certainly does. But in this case that doesn't add up for me.

Just last year the first two picks in the draft were Caleb Williams and Jaylon Daniels. Both black QB's. At the start of the 2024 season 15 out of the 32 starting QB's were black.................

NFL-record 15 Black QBs to start in 2024 Week 1 after Patriots name Jacoby Brissett starter for opener

The record has fallen multiple times in recent years

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...name-jacoby-brissett-starter-for-opener/

If he does go back he will need to pick a different uniform number because they retired his old one. That's awkward.

This is EXACTLY what I didn't want.....baloney again surrounding the QB.....Boomer E states multiple teams took him off their boards because OWNERS didn't want him....Boomer says he torpedoed himself......TRUE, but DAD sure did help the torpedo job along the way......as a 5th rounder I hope he comes in and does well and we get bargain.....THAT would be something......Sanders, work your butt off and show what you really got.....Go Browns!!!!

If Manziel is the original film, Sanders is the Disney remake.

I think sometimes Sanders just doesn't express himself well. Sometimes he sounds too arrogant, sometimes he doesn't sound all that smart. I think this interview shows where maybe things went off the rails a bit in the interview process. NO player is going to impress many organizations if they act like they're the one doing the interviewing. Anyway, a little look under the hood with one of the few interviews during the process:

my Prediction:

Pickett gets cut or traded

Flacco Starts the season

Sanders will start a game or two

Gabrial will be back up to sanders when he's elevated

Watson never sees the field in a browns Uni again

No science to this.. Just dumb thinking out loud

Shedeur will probably light it up against some 4th stringers in preseason and the MSM will run with the collusion theory.

Pretty amazing the franchise did not learn a thing from the Manziel debacle.

To add, it would seem another bad idea would be Shadeur wearing his headphones during one interview, taking a FaceTime call during another and not hanging up and then not being prepared for an install he had been given ahead of the interview with NYG and then arguing with Daboll when challenged over it.

Deion has coached Shadeur every step along the way and he's never once had to earn the starting QB job.

Good luck Stefanski!
