Parents disliked Elvis, but loved Rick Nelson. His parents, Ozzie and Harriet, had a popular radio show, then a popular TV show, which showcased Ricks musical talents on TV before millions each week. That made Rock OK. with parents. Rick was elected to the rock hall in 1987, 2 years after his death in a plane crash on his way to perform a New Years party. As a sidebar, this one also features James Burton on guitar. Maybe the best "chicken picker" style guitar player anywhere, anytime. James played with Rick's band, then Elvis for many years in addition to being a sought-after studio musician. If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong
