Ravens, RB Derrick Henry agree to terms on two-year, $30 million extension

https://www.nfl.com/news/ravens-rb-derrick-henry-two-year-30-million-extension

At 31 years old and his physical running style it just makes me wonder how many more seasons he has left in the tank. But I sure haven't seen a drop off in production or physicality yet. I have a feeling when the time comes his skills start to dwindle it will happen fast. This will have him under contact for the next three seasons in total including this season.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I think he's earned it.

Having to bid against other teams is expensive. Purdy had still been under his rookie deal, so the 49ers had some leverage. Plus, he's from there (the living with his parents stories at least lead me to believe so) and had been effective there.

Hopefully it works out better than the Watson deal (except when they play the Browns.)

I like Purdy. He is a pretty clean cut/thinking guy, with a heart for the game, and is a perfect example of you don't need the superstar QB to be a darn good QB for your team, at least out of college.

Move the chains, protect the ball and win games is what makes you a star. Not how tall, fast, or how much zip you can put on the ball.

Seeing Henry get held to 50 yards by a significantly improved D line, priceless.

Browns Lineman Turns Heads With Physique Change

June 4, 2025
By Yagya Bhargava

https://www.brownsnation.com/browns-lineman-has-noticable-physique-change/

Second-year tackle Dawand Jones is emerging as a source of optimism for the Cleveland Browns.

The towering lineman is making a remarkable return from arthroscopic knee surgery, participating fully in practices without any visible limitations.

Jones has surpassed all recovery expectations. Many anticipated he would be ready by training camp, but he has blown past that conservative timeline.

According to The News-Herald’s Jeff Schudel, Jones also appears physically transformed, suggesting a focused and disciplined approach to his rehabilitation.

“This picture shows huge Dawand Jones is even after losing 20 pounds of body fat. He is 6-foot-8 and still weighs around 374 pounds. He is the Browns starting left tackle,” Schudel wrote.

That might be scary for defenders. Dude was an absolute monster his first year in this blocking scheme, but healthy and 20 pounds lighter - and thus able to move even better - is an actual reason for optimism.

I would assume the lighter weight is gonna help with mitigating risk of injury as well. He's had 2 season-ending injuries in as many years (this is going to be his 3rd season).

For some reason your post isn't showing for me. Can someone summarize?

Edit: Aaron Rodgers is officially joining the Steelers. That's it, right?

It's not showing for me either, but you are correct:

Aaron Rodgers to sign one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers

I am perfectly fine with this. Steelers have been squarely in the "early playoff exit" tier and this will keep them there just a little bit longer. It's going to make our 2 games against them a little more annoying, though.

Who cares about him? He’s getting old, probably has early onset Alzheimer’s. Plus diabetes.

Glad the Steelers signed him in a desperate move.

Tom Pellisero must have edited his original tweet and that's why it was not showing. But yes, he signed with the Steelers, as you stated.

The Jets sent a text to the Browns front office insuring them that there's nothing to worry about.

Lets see Myles has sacked him 5 times in his career. I see another 3 or 4 sacks of him by Myles this year.

There is no reason to worry about Rodgers. He didn't even show up to voluntary workouts. The season is already over.

He will definitely be an upgrade over Wilson, but it's not like the Steelers were an offensive powerhouse just missing a QB. They were middle of the road in terms of running and passing, and it looks to me like their offensive scoring was helped out by the D.

Their offensive line has been trending down since the Big Ben days, DK Metcalf, Freiermuth, and Robert Woods are their pass-catchers. Jaylen Warren is their RB.

That roster doesn't inspire a ton of fear if I'm a playoff-caliber team.

Somehow the Steelers yet won 10 games last year with all these supposed offensive shortcomings last year.
I have yet to see a Tomlin coached team not be prepared .
The Steelers offense is already better without Pickens. DK Metcalf is a upgrade. In and out of the locker room
This will be a pass 1st offense . The Steelers don't have facilitate the offense
Through the run game anymore . The same oline returns
Writing this team off is just silly .

Much like how 31 other teams passed on signing Joe Flacco.
1st time in NFL history 1 division has 2 teams starting 40 year old QBs.

This will be a pass 1st offense .
Hmmmmm....

The Browns didn't play kiss ass for months nor did they pay Flacco 20 million dollars. Try again.

Once again you had to reach into your grab bag and bring up something totally unrelated to the discussion at hand. Figures.

Not in the fight, but will say this: DW didn’t chase @ss, he ordered it and trapped it. He should be doing time.

Do you recall the Steelers won games the last two seasons without the offense scoring a TD?

If it weren't for Boswell, they would not have finished above 500.

To say they improved by getting a 30 yo receiver and a 43 yo quarterback is a bit of an overstatement.

Besides Baltimore, who has the Steelers beat besides below-average teams? When was the last time they won a playoff game?

Pittsburgh is getting old. They haven't drafted much to replace the aging players.

I like that Cleveland is moving in the direction of the Steelers offense. Then wait for the opportunity to get the right quarterback. What Cleveland has is youth and a better defense.

I'm not sure how many more seasons Tomlin can squeak out 9 or 10 wins.

Wouldn't that depend on the players aquired? I mean, Metcalf is not slouch by any means.. Not at all sure what Rogers has in the tank at this point.
