You do realize when fascists back an anti fascist up against a wall with no escape you’re going to get violence.

While to a great extent I agree that there is nothing substantially wrong with that statement, it certainly does nothing to attempt bringing peace to protests. It sounds more like something Rambo would say than what one would expect from a law enforcement official. I don't see where ramping up the rhetoric is helpful. I think we should expect more from a top law enforcement official than to try to use threatening rhetoric in such a situation.


Maybe we should. When a small faction of the protestors become violent, why do some people call that a violent protest? It seems that is trying to focus on a small fraction of the protestors and label the vast majority of them as being violent who are not. If say 80% to 90% of the people attending are being peaceful why is it a certain portion of our society decide to ignore that and instead only focus on the 10% to 20%?


And I certainly agree with that. But there are also questions that come along with that.

Throwing a brick at law enforcement is most certainly a crime. There's no question about that. Anyone who does such a thing should be arrested and prosecuted. But I would have to ask, when you have police officers in riot gear, full helmets and shields, full body armor, just how deadly do you propose a brick is? I'm not sure in that situation, under those circumstances that is cause to kill someone "graveyard dead". I understand you may see it differently but that's a hard conclusion for me to reach.

Secondly, in a huge crowd with people constantly moving how safe is it to take shots at someone who "threw a brick"? How likely is it you could shoot and kill someone who had nothing to do with that? Most all of us who have any experience in handling such weapons have been taught from day one to take a safe shot. I'm not so sure this qualifies. It is at the very least a dangerous shot to try and make. Common sense needs to prevail here. That isn't what this sounds like.

The fact is when riot starts protest has then ended. These riots are organized. In California they have arrested a man who drove up in a pick up truck and gave riot gear to so called protestors.

The Florida Sheriff has the correct stance to put an end to this nonsense. These leftist idiots rioting are terrorists plain and simple.

The Supreme Court gave Trump and his fascist minions the right to kick the hornets nest all they want.

Exactly, the moment he identified himself, the tussle should have stopped. Noem should have stopped it... She did not.

But none of that matters.. Senator or everyday person, We supposedly live in a country where speaking up is our right. so if these politicians and appointed people can't stand up to questions, they should resign.

That's the thing about supporting trump. You have to keep your head on a swivel. He's always saying one thing and then doing another. And then you have to go watch FOX News to see what excuses they made up to explain why.

I can agree the comments could be viewed as inflammatory. I wouldn't have worded things that way.

It would have been better to say something along the lines that the police can meet deadly force with the same.

Make no mistake. I pray things like that don't happen but there comes a point where we can't just expect the police to stand there as people throw objects that can kill or seriously injure.

People who throw firecrackers need to face enhanced punishment. That could trigger off a tragedy.

Some people just don't think, or care. Some might possibly even hope.

I'd say we're closer to being in agreement about this than we are many things. I'm still not sure how "deadly" a brick is against an officer in full riot gear but.....

ICE agents denied entry to Dodger Stadium

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents attempted to access Dodger Stadium on Thursday morning but were denied entry by the team.

“This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization. Tonight’s game will be played as scheduled,” the team said in a statement posted on X.



While the stadium grounds are affiliated with the team, the parking areas are owned by former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Images of government vehicles quickly spread on social media, prompting widespread speculation and criticism from fans, many of whom questioned the agents’ presence at the stadium.

The appearance of ICE agents comes as the Dodgers prepare to break their silence on the ongoing federal immigration raids in Los Angeles — operations that have left much of the team’s Latino fan base on edge.

The Dodgers’ initial decision to remain publicly silent has drawn sharp criticism and become a political flashpoint in the city. To date, Enrique “Kiké” Hernández is the only player to speak out about the raids.

The Times was the first to report that the organization plans to announce initiatives aimed at supporting immigrant communities affected by raids that began in early June.

A coalition of Latino advocacy groups has urged the Dodgers and other local professional sports teams to speak out as President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown continues to reverberate across Los Angeles communities.

On Saturday, singer Nezza defied the team’s reported request to perform the national anthem in English, instead singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” in Spanish before a home game. Her performance coincided with widespread protests across metro Los Angeles against what critics call a “Mass Deportation Program” promoted by Trump and federal officials.

The Dodgers later issued a statement regarding Nezza’s performance, saying there were “no hard feelings” and that the team “would be happy to have her back.”

The organization has long enjoyed deep support from Southern California’s Latino community, a connection dating back to 1981’s “Fernandomania,” when Mexico-born pitcher Fernando Valenzuela won the Cy Young Award as a 20-year-old rookie.

Man accused of posing as ICE agent, sexually assaulting woman at motel: report

RALEIGH, N.C. (TNND) — A man in North Carolina allegedly impersonated an ICE officer and threatened to deport a woman if she did not have sex with him.

Carl Bennett Jr., 37, was arrested in Raleigh on Sunday for the incident at a Motel 6, according to an arrest warrant obtained by WRAL.

Police stated Bennett "threatened to deport the victim if she did not have sex with him," and "displayed a business card with a badge on it."

It's time these ICE agents start dressing as law enforcement officers, displaying their badges and giving their badge numbers upon request the same way other law enforcement officers do. It's only a matter of time before someone mistakes them as kidnappers and gun play ensues. In the above cases that may be just what should have happened because none of these men were really ICE agents and used that to commit criminal acts.

How the hell are people supposed to know the difference?
