Yesterday, I was the lucky recipient of quadruple bypass surgery. Went to the ER Saturday morning all gassed up and bloated with back pain and gut pain. My widow maker artery and one other were 100% clogged. A third was 95%, and the fourth looked like it was run over by a road grater. I’m as sore as I’ve ever been been for anything but can already feel I’m stronger.doc said I would feel 20 years younger and I can’t wait.
I have roughly 3 months of vigorous rehab ahead of me to get to close to 100% but in two weeks I should be completely independent and able to do any non strenuous activity.
If all goes well in August I’ll be one year bladder cancer free. So death can suck it my friends. I’m happy to still be kicking today.

Wow,,, Good for you.
I've kinda been where you were. Widow maker was 85% Blocked. No bypass but I did have a stint put in.
Cardio Rehab isn't so bad.... I spent 3 months going at it pretty heavy.. That was almost three years ago. I'm actually better now than I've been in the last 20 years...
What hospital did you go to?

Man that sounds like a close one! With that much blockage it seems you may have caught it just in time. So glad you did. Now onward and upward with your rehab OCD!

March 24th, 2024 widow maker emergency surgery.
10% chance to survive.
Two stents installed. Now I am back to swimming 1200 meters twice a week along with weights and yoga exercises.
Just got back back from way up in North Ontario from float plane fly in fishing lodge.
There is no time to slow down. Keep going hard till you cannot.

Embrace the rehab; make the workouts and the dietary changes part of a new lifestyle.
