Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

Guitarist and songwriter Mick Ralphs, best known for his time with Mott The Hoople, has died at the age of 81, according to the band's official website.
A statement said: "Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time."
The Hereford-born musician was a key member of the band, which formed in 1969. He left four years later, and moved on to Bad Company.
A statement from that band said Ralphs was "survived by the love of his life Susie", his two children and three step-children", as well as his bandmates Simon Kirke and Paul Rodgers, the latter of whom added: "Our Mick has passed, my heart just hit the ground."

The last band I was in we would go to open jam night at a place called The Night Owl in the Oregon District, Dayton, Ohio. We played in clubs but we loved the old style funk and blues of the late 60's and early 70's. That's something that wouldn't sell or play well in clubs at the time. It was strictly a blues club. The House Band was Snapper Mitchum and the Blues Invaders.
He had a great sax player and we could do that kind of funk and old style, Gospel music style, soulful blues we loved so much. It was kind of funny how one night Snapper told me, "You're the blackest sounding white boy I ever heard." I considered that quite the compliment.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
Composed in France, at the end of WWII, "Autumn Leaves" has been adopted as a perennial Jazz standard. Every single artist worth his/her salt has learned this tune. Jazz players earn their cred based upon their ability to play the entire canon of standards. (If you want to see a living compilation of Jazz standards, check out The Real Book.)
"Autumn Leaves" has been covered by everyone- from The Biggest Names to young guns tryna make their names. Slow ballads, mid-tempo tunes with a Caribbean feel, and frenetically-paced BeBop renditions... "Autumn Leaves" has been a staple. The chord changes are just too seductive/perfect... it was always destined to be a Jazz Standard.
In this up-tempo sample, a young Stanley Jordan displays his two-hand touch technique (read: "hammer-on") by playing two guitars at the same time. He comps chords on the guitar in his left hand, while soloing on the guitar in his right hand. Dude is playing two guitars simultaneously... like a Jazz pianist plays a Steinway.

*Shoutout to Charnett Moffat and Kenwood Dennard for their fine solos, as well...
Just a little rather surprising information for all of the SRV fans out there. The album Texas Flood was recorded in just two days with no overdubs at Jackson Browne's personal studio in Los Angeles.
