Last year they beat the Ravens , Broncos, Chargers, Commanders. All playoff teams . They beat the Bengals who aren't below average The Steelers basically played the same teams as the Browns year to year Why are the Steelers making the playoffs and the Browns aren't? They got rid of Pickens which automatically makes it a better locker room Rodgers is not what he was 5 years ago, but he is a upgrade Over Wilson. Still threw for 3800 yds and 20 plus TDs. Who was the last Browns QB to put up those numbers? The Steelers oline returns intact. And their D got better with Darius Slay And a healthy Highsmith. Sorry but their roster and coaching staff Is better than the Browns

the Ravens secondary has been a weak spot, especially going against the AFC offenses
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Just an FYI:
Did you know:
1) There's only 1 NFL team that hasn't ever had a 4,000-yard passer in a season: Chicago
2) There are only 4 NFL teams last who's last 4,000-yard passer in a season that hasn't occurred in the last 13 years: Chicago-Never, NY Jets 1967-Joe Namath, Cleveland 1980-Brian Sipe, Houston/Tennessee 1991-Warren Moon.
3) In the last 2 NFL seasons, 2023 & 2024, 13 teams have had a 4,000-yard passer for the season
4) In 2024, 6 teams had a 4,000-yard passer for the season: Baltimore-Lamar Jackson, Cincinnati-Joe Burrow, Detroit-Jared Goff, Minnesota-Sam Darnold, Seattle-Geno Smith, and Tampa Bay-Baker Mayfield.
5) To reach 4,000-yards a season, a team/player needs to only average 235.3 yards per game passing for a 17-game season.
6) The Browns have not been higher than 19th in team passing yards the last 5 seasons (2020-24th, 2021-27th, 2022-22nd, 2023-19th, and 2024-22nd).

Kinda funny that they traded Fitzpatrick back to the team that traded him to the Steelers in the first place.

The Dolphins have no one at TE and NFL analysts have said that the team is canvassing the NFL to trade for one. Mark Andrews, Noah Fant, Cole Kmet have been brought up because they have rookies or younger players already on the roster who the teams like. But I haven't seen Njoku brought up yet as a trade option and I think it could happen. A long-shot maybe, but they drafted Hannin Jr., any follow- up news about the team going to Miami to talk extension have netted nothing, he lives in MIA, and he is in the final year of his contract. For the record, I'd rather the Browns extend him, but if the FO considers themselves deep in rebuild mode then I wouldn't be shocked to see him dealt.

It never works out this way, but I hope we get another (assuming Fannin is what we hope he is) starter-caliber TE prior to moving on from Njoku... or at least a guy that can catch and run.
The KS-offense works best with a "full" TE room. Not to mention Njoku is probably the most critical single person on O(outside of whoever is our starting QB) right now.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

You should look at Facebook sometime.. There had to be at least 20 or more posts from talking sports heads that bring up Njoku as a tradebait item

I think Fannin can step right in and be as productive. Production at that position is about opportunity. I might not trade him today unless it was a great offer. Once we get up near the trade deadline we will have a pretty good idea if Fannin can make the grade. The downside to waiting is the value drops. We might get a 6th round pick v maybe getting a 3rd rounder today or a good looking young player.

Regarding value... he's a FA after this season. That's probably already bringing his value down.
If we were looking to get some trade value out of him, trying to fleece someone desperate at the trade deadline may be the way to go.

If we get off to a bad start, maybe we trade him in October. Fannin is a rookie so let’s not fall in love with him quite yet.

We need to resign Njoku. We will have plenty of two TE sets this year and both of our TEs will be catching balls galore from Flacco. Kevin has always liked having two good TEs.

Njoku is one of the few sure things on offense. And he is a legit weapon One of the few on the Browns offense that creates mismatches. Fannin has potential. That's all we know .And let's not forget . He played for BG. Its not like they were facing Top flight elite competition each week .

What is going on with this website?? What has happened to the news about our rookie running back that's been posted in two different threads and then they've been deleted???

People miss this .... somehow.
Tailgate Forum A forum for fans to discuss things outside of pure football. Buy/sell game tickets, talk about the Tribe and MLB, the Cavs and the NBA, Buckeyes and the rest of the NCAA, other sports, TV/Satellite listings for games and/or player appearances, professional athlete police blotter reports, and getting together for tailgates. NFL Draft discussion goes here as well until the off-season draft forum is created.

QB Levis from TEN is out for the season due to throwing shoulder surgery.
Out of the top 100 Free Agents still available, OT Jedrick Wills is rated 99th. What a total 1st round pick flop by Berry!

I wonder if the Titans will look to add a vet QB and if Pickett and/or Flacco are on their radar.

One would think they would want an older veteran to work with the rookie now that they have the room to make that choice. But who knows for sure?

I’d lean Flacco as the guy the Browns would prefer to move first. Titans could opt for a FA like Wentz, Huntley or Beathard and avoid giving up any assets.

While Flacco is somewhat limited and his time left is short, he is the only actual known commodity at the QB position on this roster. For the Browns to move Flacco before they were sure they had a suitable QB other than him I would consider to be something very foolish.

IMO, if the Browns were looking to go full tank, they wouldn't have brought Flacco in in the first place. He's their security blanket at QB. If any of the younger QBs showing a basic level of competence executing the offense (think Brissett minus the QB sneaks), then I think moving Flacco is in play. But that's a HUGE if.

Haha....I'd lean Pickett as the one they'd prefer to trade. I get the reason why many (not necessarily including you in this opinion) would lean Pickett to keep. He was traded for first early in free agency loooong before Flacco was signed. But my theory was Pickett was traded for because he could be had for super cheap and could be the #2 to someone one else they hoped to trade for too.....that person being Kirk Cousins. Once the Cousins thing didn't materialize for a few reasons, Flacco was signed. I think if the team was truly serious about Pickett (who is costing the Browns slightly less) they would not have signed Flacco. I think the preferred depth chart heading into the season would be Flacco, Gabriel, Sanders. Pickett the odd man out and tradeable. I suppose the most optimal depth chart would be one of the rookies showing they are the better option but I don't see that yet. That's just my guess.....but we'll see.

Sad to hear that about Fields. Don’t like to see any players get hurt. Because of this the Jets could end up being a trade partner for one of our QB’s.
