Pickett sounds like he had a good day
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

We are so lucky Joe still loves ‘us’. Looking cool w/ the backwards cap. The guy could be doing so many things, what a great heart.
Specific to today’s camp- sounds like receivers were on point and that ‘65 yards, 55 seconds‘ drill sounds like a lot of fun.

Seems like the passing offense had a nice day today

It does look like Flacco is on track to play Cincinnati in Week 1.

This isn't the worst thing in the world as long as Gabriel and Pickett get extended looks in-game.

We went toe to toe with the Eagles last season in Philly losing only 20-16. If we had a competent QB we probably would have won. Looks like it'll be Dillon Gabriels turn to show what he can do this Saturday. As with Shadeur, I wish him the best.

The defensive line and the overall defense could be very good.
We have talent and the drafted players Mason Graham and Carson Schwesinger should help improve the defense.
The Dline is deep and talented.

I think we’ll have a good defence. I’m not sure what our offence will look like, but I’m happy to start with a solid d. Assuming Myles doesn’t kill himself while driving like a goof.

Was on an Athletic article. Not sure if its been posted here. Sounds like the Browns dis pretty well all things considered against a good OL and DL.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Yeah, our defense could keep us in some games. Unfortunately I expect our offense to be really bad

I was initially hoping we could turn back to our 2020 style of offense, taking a lot of the burden off QB and going with a two-headed running attack behind a strong OL, but the state of Judkins leaves that up in the air, at best.
I'm still all for making an attempt to grind it out, while having Flacco use his vet savviness to hopefully keep us in games. I do think Week 1 will be a hell of a test for us to see just how good our D is and also potentially how good our offense is at keeping up. It'll also be a big test to see if the Bengals new DC is worth his hiring or not.

We certainly need a talent like Judkins and hopefully he gets back asap. However from what i’ve seen from some of our other RB’s, albeit a small sample, our RB room may be deeper and more talented than we think. Further time will tell but we could have something there.

Yeah, RBs are more plug and play than the QB/OL spots. We need Flacco to be upright and take care of the ball

The RB position has been devalued over the past 10 years or so but is now coming back some. IMO it should never have been devalued. At some point you’ll need to run the ball being it the weather or running out the clock whatever. Also a RB who is a good receiver is a big threat to a D. JMO

I'm tamping down my enthusiasm, but if they can keep this type of talk going through the next preseason game I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep my blind optimism in check.

yeah I like Zegura and seems like a good guy, but he is not a reliable source for team info - he spins everything to make the team sound good

JMO I feel like there are two tiers of RBs, maybe 3. You have the unquestionably elite ones like Chubb was for us in his prime. They have the ability to change the game and just devastate opposing offenses. Bengals fans around here HATED him because he always ate their lunch. I think Judkins has the ability to be in this tier. Then there is the everyone else tier. That is the Fords and all the decent backs that you see who seemingly pop up all over the place. Lastly you could argue is the “bad” tier. These are the RBs who frustrate the flip out of you.
