yeah, same with Rodgers .. the arm is not the problem

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I love Flacco to be quite honest. His arm looks like he is still at his peak. It's just a real rocket man! His casual throws make everyone else on the team look like noodle arms except maybe Pickett and that really surprised me about Pickett. I feel like if Flacco can stay healthy we will have at least 12 wins. I think our defense is going to shock people and shut teams down. I think you can't stop Flacco from scoring most of the time because with his arm he can throw a TD from anywhere on the field on any given pass. Flacco looks a HELL of a lot better than Rodger IMHO.

He’s our QB. Should’ve been our guy last year, but we had to take one more shot at justifying the Watson trade-wreck.

I’m good with Joe, he looks at the field and throws it.

I'm OK with it, too.

One of the most important things this team needs is solid leadership to start the season.
Truth be told, I've never been a fan of rookie QB's launching their careers as Day One starters. If something like that is happening, it's a sure sign of desperation in the FO.

JF gives CLE the best chance at a positive start to the season. He knows the scheme, has seen everything, and can still deliver the skill.

Let the team get its feet, play the season with Joe as much as we can... and let our rooks learn from watching a seasoned vet. It will only help them in the long run. AND- if either are pressed into service, they'll be doing so with a team that is established, with games under their belts.

Truth: I fully expected Flacco as QB#1 from the start.
What I didn't see was the Pickett trade.

Nobody questions Joe's ability to spin it.

His problem is turnovers.

Here is a breakdown to see and understand what makes Gabriel a good quarterback.

Joe is an easy guy to cheer for. He is a likeable guy and a good quarterback.

However, after a long career he is not going to change and he is forty.

In the same breath it is easy to discount DG. The main reason is where he was drafted and his height.

Except he has always been his height and he has succeeded at every level and under different systems.

I am encouraged by what he has done in college and what I have seen with the Browns.

I think he going to be better than expectations.

...I hate that Joe Flacco's initials make my brain go to Johnny Football.

Seeing Manziel recently make the (possibly valid) argument that he wasn't the Browns' biggest bust his draft (Gilbert) was rather depressing.

I would say he's accurate in saying that... but anyone can see the irony (?) of him trying to make that argument.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

As much as Gilbert stunk he did last 3 years in the league compared to 2 for Johnny Mistake and played in 35 games to Johnny's 14.
