So what do you think the score will be guys and gals?!!!
I think the Browns will score at least 28 points and that the Bengals will not score more than 21 points.
I think our defense will smother the Bengals to the point Joe Burrows gets sacked at least 4 to 6 times. Myles will have at least 3 of those sacks. IF they hold the Begals to 21 points I think we win easily but it won't be easy because Joe Burrows is highly motivated to win this first game. The way we beat Joe is to keep constant pressure on him.
I think Flacco will throw 4 tds to 2 interceptions and have 400 plus passing yards. I think Njoku and Fanna have 6 plus catches for 70 yards plus EACH. Jeudy will have 120 yards on 12 plus catches. We will run 120 yards and Ford will catch 4 passes for 60 yards.
I think our rookie RB will have at least 80 yards rushing and the rest will add another 30 yards rushing. The weird thing is I have this feeling our rookie might just rush for over 200 yards this first game. That seems crazy to me but I just have this gut feeling he is going to break out some huge runs and if he does then I think it's possible we score 40 plus points this game.
I just think the Bengals taking so long to get a deal done with Trey cripples their defense for the first few games and they start 0 - 2 before they go on a tear.
This will either be the funnest game to watch all year or a big sloppy mess. I think it's going to be a GREAT game =) Here we go Brownies!!!

Geez Razor, that’s very optimistic and also quite specific.

At this point, I'm hoping we can score 21 points. Realistically, I see us scoring 17
Hunter + Dart = This is the way.

Cincinnati 27 Cleveland 16
Too much offense for Cincy and our offense can't muster enough against a bad D
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Bengals 28 Browns 13
The Bengals offense is top 5. And overlooked is the Browns actually allowed more Points last year than the Bengals . No JOK or Emerson hurts The defense.

Unsure what weed the OP is smoking, but alright.
Bengals focused all pre-season on how to not start so slow. This won't be your typical 0-3 start to the year for them IMO.
Flacco is the best QB we've had here since....Flacco. Bengals D isn't amazing. He'll sling it. We'll gain some yards through the air. I expect decent days from Jeudy and Njoku. Rest are wildcards/usage dependent. Nobody else that scares the D or they have to prep for - a bunch of JAGs (side note I'm interested in seeing Isaiah Bond).
We have no running game. Ford is a backup at best. I hope Sampson develops but he was fringe #3 on our depth chart before removing Quinshon "I wanna go back to college" Judkins for a reason.
Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Brown, Gesicki.....I think they all contribute. We don't have enough talent at LB, or depth in DB to hold them down. Our only chance is getting in the backfield with our DLine.
Oh and God help us if any of our OLine gets hurt, because they HAVE to protect old man Flacco, or this whole season is doomed before it starts.
Bengals - 28 Browns - 10
Also, it's 4 days from opening kickoff and this board is d-e-d ded.

I'm not going to predict a win, but Browns have been a VERY tough matchup for Cinci throughout the Burrow era, and I see no reason why that won't continue. I think the game will be uncomfortably close for Bengals fans.
Bengals can yap all they want about how they won't start slow, but the proof is in the pudding.
Browns D looks like they may actually be what we hoped they'd be last year. If so, Burrow is in for a TOUGH day. Their Oline is going to get him killed vs a Dline that gave Philly's Oline starters all it could handle in practice.
Bengals D is a joke. Getting Henderson back is a plus but he's only 1 guy. Our Oline hasn't had time to rack up a bunch of injuries just yet. I think the game hinges on our run game. If Ford and Sampson can put together a good effort, it could be a LONG day for Cinci.

Geez Razor, that’s very optimistic and also quite specific. HAHA well I actually feel like the Browns are going to utterly destroy and humiliate the Bengals so yeah I am pretty optimistic at least for this game. We won't need a great run game until the fourth quarter when we are running the clock out to finish off the game. I don't normally gamble but something tells me it's time to put some money on the Browns. I just got a great feeling we are going to win this one =)

I kinda agree with you, in that it's a Stefanski 'on' year, and you can count on the Browns giving the Bengals fits.

I’m genuinely not feeling good about this game. However, my one prediction is that - if we do upset the Bengals - we won’t see stripper around here much for a while.

The way I see this game is: toss up.
Bengals have more weapons. However, they have had issues starting seasons.
The Browns are at home and healthy. Miles usually starts super fast.
We have had the Bengals number.
The defense IMO has the chance to be very good.
The question for us is the offense. Last time around we plucked Joe off the couch. This time he has had a full camp.
He will be ready and lose.
I like our chances but it will be close.

I don't know what the score may turn out to be, but I'm thinking the Browns will win this game. I'm always optimistic for the first fews games of the season. And then, well, you know.........

I predict there will be scoring. I'm not sure who or how many, but I'm fairly confident at least 2 points will be scored.

Both teams added new coordinators on both sides of the ball. Both teams added new talent in the trenches. The Bengals have been notorious for starting slow. The Browns have been notorious for lacking physicality Hence both teams changed how their training camps go. I wouldn't say the Browns have anyone's number . They were 3 14 last year. The Browns will need to have flawless execution to beat good teams this year. Their turnover margin was porous last year .

I'm going 20-14 Browns start the year with a win for a change. Browns had the Chiefs in 2023 and Cowboys last year for recent losses. Only 3 opening day wins since the return, last one in 2022... Stadium is going to provide the energy needed to keep them going for 4 quarters.
Browns are 6-1 against the Bengals in Cleveland over the past 7 years, the lone loss coming last year. Conversely, they are 3-4 in Cincinnati over the same period. Bengals just haven't fared well against the Browns for what ever reason.
I think it comes down to big plays. That is what the Bengals are built for, but I see a lot of 3 and outs for the Bengals on Sunday. Bengals rushers have shown a tendency to break off a big run here and there, but don't do well in the trenches otherwise. I think the Browns win a decisive time of possession plus and that is the difference in the game. I think we will see a lot of 3rd and shorts that are converted.
Match up of the game, as always, is Denzel Ward vs Ja'Marr Chace. In 7 games against the Browns, he has only had 1 100 yard game and only 3 TDs over that stretch. He averages 58 yards and .4 TDs... If that holds true, the Bengals may have trouble scoring. Pass rush will help determine this one as well. Can Burrow get to his 3rd read?
The one thing that could upset the apple cart is false starts on our O-line, keep those to an absolute minimum and I think the Browns win this game.

My prediction is that both teams will score. Hopefully the Browns will score more points than the Bengals.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
