"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

It's a short trip up north, fellas! I'll buy the first round (excluding one of DL's $25 bourbon-barrel beers, yuk).

Oh, wow. Totally worth the plunge when you're drinking from the pond. 👍

Nah you’re right. It wasn’t worth it. Plus 42 y/o me can’t handle those belly bombing beers the way 22 y/o me did.

I was halfway through buyer's remorse a couple weeks ago, on the rooftop bar at Rabbit Hole in Kentucky. $100 flight for 4 special editions priced at $150 per bottle. I tried the third and realized I had just sipped one of the best I've ever tried. I knew I would be taking a bottle home.

Got downstairs to the store to find those bottles were not $150... they were $1500. 😬

I am:

1. Shocked at the price of the bottle. That’s crazy!

2. Jealous you got to try it.

3. Wondering if we were there at the same time. I wasn’t at Rabbit Hole but I was in Louisville on Labor Day weekend.

I was there a week before, 22nd & 23rd.

That flight is pretty reasonable for $1500 bottles. Although I'm definitely not into bottles in that range, I think it's pretty much a joke. Their anniversary bottle was 6G.

I bought their Velarde, which is a limited edition and very good. It was only a $12 pour for a $100 bottle (actually $50 for a 375ml). I do really like that Rabbit has reasonable pours at the distillery, many brands do not -- which makes absolutely no sense to me.

Rabbit Hole is pretty much a high-production commercial brand, but I think there is near excellence across their entire line. Crack a bottle of their Rye with a friend and damage will be done (to the bottle, not the friend lol).

This is on my Mt Rushmore of bottles under $75, and I get nervous when there isn't a backup in the cellar:

I’ll definitely have to check it out. I’m usually on the Lexington/Franfort side. Need to go to Louisville more.
