Not sure about our secondary. This defense has done parts well, and the third level has stunk it up. Are we setting up failures by being too exotic? Rank the D, man by man, level by level, about how willing they are to tackle. How eager? Some of our outbacks are avoiding the same IMO. Our OFFENSE needs to stay on the field with drives. Not any help there if they are handing out points AND extra possessions.

The Browns have one of the worst, bottom 5, head coaches in the league. Until that is rectified, the results will stay the same. I've been saying this since year 2. This was all very predictable.

But he'll get a stay of execution because Bubba will be the sacrificial lamb this year. Haslam has become so afraid to be criticized for acting too hastily that he doesn't act at all.

This is what he has to show for six years in -

--3-17 in the last 20 games
--never won a division or come close to winning a division
--never started 2-0
--couldn't make it work with either starting QB he was given
--was given an embarrassment of riches by Dorsey and squandered it all; no coach has ever done less with more
--the side of the ball he has the least to do with plays inspired, aggressive, winning football; his side of the ball plays like they've never seen a blitz before or drew up plays with hot reads
--no developmental player seems to develop...ever...not a single wide receiver drafted has been any good; zinter doesn't even dress on game day and the list goes on
--invents new ways to lose annually
--wasting the primes of the best defensive player in the league and a top 3 corner
--was in the basement during the best coaching job of his tenure with no communication with the team
--has fired and hired numerous coordinators but the results don't change; he is the common denominator
--took him 6 years to realize camp cupcake doesn't work
--caught lightning in a bottle twice but unable to sustain anything

People like him because he's not a fat slob who calls people by their first names in pressers, but the results don't lie. The offense takes on the personality of their coach. Ho-hum, whatever...drop balls, doesn't matter. It's not about the results, it's about the process. What did they say...they are intentional about the process? I don't even know what that means.

Browns need a win first mentality coach that prioritizes winning first and everything else after. Until we have that, the results will never change.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Garbage time. The Browns gained ~57% of their yardage after being down 3 scores.

Bringing back memories of Colt McCoy. He was great at that.

Executive level corporate speak. Kev may have taken the the Dale Carnegie school of public speaking course!

#4 - Cornerback - A nickel corner that can cover slot receivers
#5 - Free Safety - A centerfielder that can cover tight ends down the field and make plays on down the field throws. This team has to create more turnovers.

And (3) OL...in the 6th (?) year of this regime...this is where we are.

I just cannot understand how people continue to support the Stefanski/berry team. They have only continued the misery.

First off, the Berry/Stefanski team started two years after Joe Thomas retired.
- I agree it is sad that Thomas never was able to experience success as a team.

Second, Myles has already experienced two playoff appearances and 3 playoff games in 7 years... more than any other player since the Browns returned in 1999. I know that isn't NEARLY enough, but this team was handcuffed with the Watson situation that set the franchise back 5 years. He got paid to understand that situation very well.

Of the Stefanski/Berry era, they had Baker Mayfield for 2 years and have had DeSean Watson for the other 3.... With Baker, they made the playoffs and won a game.. Post Baker they made the playoffs despite Watson, but lost.

The pieces need to be put back in order to crawl up from the situation. This is the first year they have had pieces to start that climb. It won't happen overnight. Despite all the issues and lack of playoffs, they Browns are 15-15 against the division since they arrived. I know you don't win Super Bowls just by beating your division, but it has been one of the toughest divisions during that time period and they have been very competitive. They have the one 3 win scar, which is recent, I know. Otherwise, they have been right there to the end competing for the playoffs.

You are acting like this duo has been in place since Haslem got here.. It's only been 5 seasons.

Only five seasons?

Almost all of our key players, the playmakers, will be gone or heavily past their best in one or two seasons.
Without Garrett, Ward, Njuko and the old guard at the OL there’s almost nothing left.

There’re so many holes in our roster that it’s hard to see that this team will be competitive in the next four five seasons.

Let us be honest for once. A open heart surgery, where you remove all vital pieces and replace them with new organs.
That’s what it takes to turn this franchise around.

The offense was a rough watch a second time though on All-22.

The Ravens have an excellent defense, they really had a great scheme for us this week. They also did an excellent job on identifying our tendencies and exploring them.

As for the offense, I rarely have said it in the past...but this week was really predictable. A lot of their pass plays, were the same thing over and over. If you have an infatuation for watching guys run dig routes, then this was your game. There is nothing wrong with them, however in general the passing game looked very similar a big portion of the game.

Issues with the offense in this game:

1. Execution - A few of the plays were to the point where you couldn't decipher what the offense was trying to do. Example: I "think" they were trying to run a screen pass, however all the lineman went left, the back went right. There were a couple other plays that were similar where a player would be off in no-mans land. Was it a miscommunication? Did he not know his assignment?

2. Communication - between the line on pickups, one example: RDE comes off the edge, Jones blocks down on the DT, one of our RBs (I think Sampson) blocks down with him, Right DE gets free hurry on Flacco

3. The little things - Slow to getting to the second level on blocks or not getting the angle to seal off the hole. This was an issue last game, same this game. Example: Running play to the right between the guard/tackle, there is a hole for a 8+ yard gain. Whitehead who is lined up on the left side as a TE has to angle right and seal off the backside LB. He's doesn't take the angle, blocks the LB straight up and the LB ends up making the tackle after a 4 yard gain. There were numerous other examples, by our lineman.

4. Audibles? - There were a couple run plays that were dead before the play was even started. Example: Run to the left - we line up with 5 blockers on the left (2 TEs..or maybe it was 1 WR, LT, LG, and C), the Ravens have 7 loaded to that same side. Maybe I am missing something or a good chance of not knowing what was to happen, however that is two uncounted defenders to put helmets on.

5. Snap counts - By mid-game the LBs or DBs were going almost full speed to the line by the time the ball was snapped. This should've been identified and changed to keep them off balance.

6. There were a couple of plays that if Flacco was patient (when he had time to throw), where he had a receiver open mid-range (15-20 yards) for a big gain. However, he left that 1st-2nd read too quickly and when to his outlet. His mental clock seemed to speed up very early in the game. Though I don't blame him...to a point.

There were a few other points, though I'll just end it here.

PFF grades every player on every play and uses a scale of 0-100, with higher grades indicating better play. PFF has explained its grades this way: 100-90 elite; 89-85 Pro Bowler; 84-70 starter; 69-60 backup; 59-0 replaceable. In other words, it’s similar to how we would match up percentages with traditional letter grades in school.

Week 2 PFF Grades. Dawand Jones (he had 29.0 Week 1 grade) does not even belong on the field. Sadly, Lucas had to play in Glass Conklin's absence.
