Still early of course. But Im on the record having really loved the move and the selection of Graham, who was NOT a popular choice at the time. I only wanted Graham, Carter (who’s also started slow) or Jeanty (who looks great). Everyone else scared me, including the “slam dunk” Hunter. Reiterating that it’s still early but I would almost never advocate for taking a 2 way player early in the draft in the NFL for a bunch of reasons. Well, I might advocate for it but I’d lean on them to pick a role and stick with it for a few years, then maybe we could talk about expanding into other roles.

The Jags have a pretty easy schedule and aren’t bad this year so the pick isn’t likely going to be higher than ours, the way things are going.

I think he's spread too thin. They'd be better served to just make him be on one side of the ball. But early returns show that we made the smart move

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

We basically traded Hunter for Graham, Judkins, and next year's 1st rounder from Jacksonville. So far, so good.

Pick offense or defense and let him play it exclusively. The idea of being a two way player was dumb.

yeah, seems like the trade has been good for us

I have been really tough on Berry and Stefanski over not fielding a team capable of winning in 2025. This trade however was a great trade. I was concerned about Travis Hunter due to Hunter's size or lack thereof. He is 6'1 which is not horrible but only 185 lbs. which is on the smaller size for #1 wide receiver. With that size it was also concerning he did not run a 40 in the draft or pro day. There were rumors he was a 4.5 40 yard. I do not know if he was that slow but if he was a legit 4.2 or 4.3, I think he would have ran. He does have great hands and great agility to the ball in the air. But I would have been concerned he would never live up to #2 overall draft status.

I think he is a better corner than wide receiver overall. I like Mason Graham, Quinshon Judkins, and hopefully a future left tackle vs Travis Hunter and think this was a great trade for the Browns.

Hunter wasn't the best WR nor the best CB in the draft. Thinking he would break the mold of modern-day, two-way players was a reach of AB-like proportions...surprised and pleased at the trade and sense to NOT draft Hunter.

The red flag for me was that Hunter wasn't known as a great route runner even in college

This rookie class has been stellar so far.. adding another first rounder to the mix next season would put a screw in the coffin on that trade by the Jags. Although... Depending on what's actually available in the draft, I would rather add some O-line help from the free agent market and get a shiny new Wide Receiver with that draft pick. Jordyn Tyson or Carson Tate would look real good in a Browns uni, hell maybe BOTH. We will be getting some cap relief in future years from some o-lineman salaries going away, might as well use it on a proven left tackle. Unless we are picking high enough to get Spencer Fano, I'm probably not looking at LT in the draft.

Although... if for some reason Dillon Gabriel looks like the real deal.. I would spend a very high pick on Francis Mauigoa to cover his blind side at RT.
