We haven’t won a regular season game in Pittsburgh since 2003. Tim Couch could beat Pittsburgh in their house - he did it twice iirc - so did Mayfield, but that’s old news. We need to run effectively, we can’t have ST blunders, no turnovers. I don’t know what to say about the WR group. One of them needs to earn their keep, get open and catch the ball. I would rather not talk about the OL. Life is depressing enough. If we DO win, and we probably won’t, we still have playoff hopes.

not winning there since 2003 in the regular season is a wild stat. Almost inconceivable until you look at our QBs and coaches
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

we basically have no chance.
We have a new QB and a new #2 CB.
Meh.

We face the Steelers in a couple weeks too. Likely a loss for us.

I have not watched the Steelers this year.
I don't know how good or bad they are.
I am more interested in the play of Gabriel and Judkins than the outcome.

Steelers are better offensively IMO, which is why they are more dangerous. Rodgers gives them a little more at the position and Metcalf is still a playmaker.
Their D has taken a little step back thus far, but we'll see now that they had some rest and recovery

Tomlin's teams have thrived on creating and capitalizing on turnovers. They are licking their chops to face our Tackles and our young tiny QB.

Basically, that's all we have left this season Bone. The hopeful development of our young players. I hope we win every game left, but we all know that's not going to happen. Maybe there's an OT on our PS that we can play to see if there's any talent there. Maybe we can pick an OT off another teams PS that might have potential. Anyway that's what's left of this season.

I consider myself a half full guy.
However, as much as I dislike doing this I have to view the Browns as a long term project.
There are so many unknowns that I think it is the only way to look at the organization.
The catastrophic results of the Watson trade has dug a deep hole. Years away from getting him off the books.
Haslam is an active manager of the team. He is involved at every level. No way to predict what he will do.
No quarterback identity till proven otherwise. Possible years away. If Gabriel or Sanders do not prove themselves. A rookie will be drafted. First you have to draft the right guy. If that mountain is climbed. It will take years in development.
The team has other needs so future drafts have be good. They have to hit on guys with real futures in the NFL.
So, like I said I dislike this but it is reality.
My interest is strictly one goal. Win a Super Bowl.
I do not see that anytime soon. In the meantime I will look to find things I can cheer for and have interest in watching.
Right now Gabriel and Judkins and our current rookie class.

This is where I'm at. Their defense was looking really porous on the stat sheet at the beginning of the year, but I think they've been slowly getting healthier on that side since Week 1.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

The Steelers can score 20 points.
Tough sledding ahead.
The 26 year long rebuild forges on.

Oh come on - it's a win. Chips are down. Expectations are rock bottom ... it's this type of game where KS excels. Book it Danno.

I believe this is a very winnable game
Watt and Highsmith are great pass rushers
The Steelers defense is pretty bad at tackling and their secondary especially Porter have been called for numerous penalties.
The Browns scheme as of now with Gabriel would be to run the ball, let Judkins loose.
Play action passes and spread the offense to get one on one match ups and quick hitting passes.
These are things that Gabriel does best, he should have a good if not great game in Pittsburgh.
The Browns Defensive line vs the Steelers Offensive line should be a tough and gritty show.
Hopefully the Browns can win that battle.
Szmyt looks poised and comfortable. Makes it less of an issue come game winning FG attempt.
2025 in Pittsburgh could be a turn around game for the Browns.

Ravens and Bengals have problems - not to say that we don’t - so the Browns need to look at this game as a chance to save our season, a huge opportunity to get back in the race for the North.

I agree - and if we needed a clinic in how to execute an offense with a below average OL, MIN just showed us how to get the ball out quick and negate a decent pass rush.
I think our D is going to bounce back and keep them to under 17 or less. That's a great starting point. I think Fannin and Judkins will have big days.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

We have a kid who started his very first game last week. He passed for two TD's and no int's. The O scored 17 points. That's the beginning. It only makes sense that Stefanksi didn't try to overwhelm and overload him in his first start.
He isn't a statue like Flacco and the kid has an arm despite the falsehood we have seen posted.
Does that mean he will be great? No. But it does mean as Stefanski opens up the playbook for the kid there is a lot of potential to score more points. I think some claim that "we can't score more than 17 points" is based on Flacco's production and not DG's potential moving forward.
Or are people trying to say that you base the fact this O can't score more than 17 points on DG's first start?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Who has this FO given him as the QB again? Chubb has been nonexistent since a devastating knee injury early in the 2023 season upended his career. Each season you have a huge roster turnover. As such each year stands on its own. In 2023 when Flacco was playing decent this team scored a lot of points in several games. Since that time the Browns haven't had a QB or a RB worthy of blaming the point total on the HC.
Now we have Judkins and rookie who scored 17 points in his first start. I'm not saying this will change everything but for his first start along with Judkins at RB at least there's a reason to hope so.
