In Epstein case, Mike Johnson backs off claim that Trump was an FBI ‘informant’

When the House speaker claimed that the president was an FBI “informant” in the Epstein case, it raised some awkward questions. Then he walked it back.

Trump was an FBI informant until he wasn't an FBI informant. Just like Pam Bondi said the Epstein list was on her desk right up until an Epstein list no longer existed.

Lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein’s estate have given Congress a copy of the birthday book put together for the financier’s 50th birthday, which includes a letter with Trump’s signature that he has said doesn’t exist.

On Monday, House Oversight Committee members confirmed that they received a copy of the birthday book including the letter bearing Trump’s signature and a letter that references Trump with a crude joke about a woman from another Epstein associate.

“President Trump called the Epstein investigation a hoax and claimed that his birthday note didn’t exist. Now we know that Donald Trump was lying and is doing everything he can to cover up the truth,” said Rep. Robert Garcia (D., Calif.), who is the committee’s Democratic ranking member. “Enough of the games and lies, release the full files now.”

The Wall Street Journal in July reported on the book and the letter bearing Trump’s name, which contained typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman. The letter concluded: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.” The signature was a squiggly “Donald” below the waist, mimicking pubic hair.

Trump has denied writing the letter or drawing the picture, calling it “a fake thing.” He also filed a lawsuit against the Journal’s reporters, Journal publisher Dow Jones, parent company News Corp and executives, alleging defamation and saying the letter was “nonexistent.” A Dow Jones spokeswoman said, “We have full confidence in the rigor and accuracy of our reporting.”

Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, didn’t immediately respond Monday to a request for comment.

The Trump administration’s shifting statements about whether it would release the files it has on Epstein has hung over the White House for months. On Sept. 3, Trump called efforts to make public more details about Epstein a politically driven hoax, just as some of the convicted sex offender’s victims visited Capitol Hill to tell their stories of sexual abuse and implored the president and Congress to release further records.

Allies of Trump have long sought release of Epstein-related materials, but the Justice Department said in July that there isn’t a client list of people who participated in Epstein’s trafficking of young girls, and new files wouldn’t be released. That determination triggered an uproar among some of Trump’s prominent supporters and efforts in Congress to seek the records.

Lawyers for the co-executors of Epstein’s estate turned over a copy of the birthday book on Monday in response to a subpoena from Rep. James Comer (R., Ky.), the chair of the House Oversight Committee. In a July 25 letter to the Epstein estate’s lawyers, Rep. Garcia and Rep. Ro Khanna (D., Calif.) had pressed the estate to release the book “to assist in bringing transparency and accountability.”

The birthday book given to Epstein in 2003—before his first arrest in 2006—was professionally bound and contained letters from dozens of Epstein’s then associates, including Trump, former President Bill Clinton and billionaire Leon Black, the Journal has reported. Some of the messages were anodyne birthday wishes, but others contained sexual references and suggestive drawings or photos.

The Epstein estate also turned over another letter from the book that references Trump. It came from businessman and longtime Mar-a-Lago member Joel Pashcow, who made a crude joke about a woman that Trump and Epstein socialized with in the 1990s, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Pashcow letter included a photo of a posterboard-sized check for $22,500, which had been mocked up to appear that it was sent from Trump to Epstein. Beneath it, a handwritten caption said: “Jeffrey showing early talents with money + women sells ‘fully depreciated’ [redacted] to Donald Trump for $22,500.” The woman’s name is redacted in the image.

Photo of three men holding a check for $22,500 made out to Jeffrey Epstein, with handwritten notes discussing the transaction.

Pashcow and his attorney didn’t respond to requests for comment. A lawyer for the woman said she doesn’t know Pashcow and has no knowledge of the letter naming her, which he called a “disgusting and deeply disturbing hoax.” The White House didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about the letter.

Trump was listed under the “Friends” section in the book’s table of contents, along with Clinton and about 20 other associates, the Journal reported. Trump and Epstein socialized in the 1990s in Palm Beach, Fla. Trump flew on Epstein’s private jet, flight logs show. Epstein was photographed multiple times at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

When Epstein was arrested a second time in 2019, Trump said he hadn’t talked to Epstein in about 15 years. This summer, he told reporters that he had a falling out with Epstein because his wealthy neighbor poached some employees from the Mar-a-Lago club.

Some of the people who assisted Epstein’s former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell on the birthday book project more than 20 years ago recalled seeing the Trump page among the documents they were compiling back then, the Journal reported.

Maxwell recently told Justice Department officials she assembled a book for Epstein’s 50th birthday but didn’t remember any names of people who made contributions to the album.

The Justice Department informed Trump in May that his name appeared several times in the government files related to Epstein, the Journal reported. Many other high-profile figures also were named, Trump was told. Being mentioned in the files isn’t an indication of wrongdoing. The White House called the story “fake news.”

I do wish you’d post here again. I miss the discourse I used to have with you as well. A lot of focus has been on how people who are more right-leaning have left the board, but the same exists on the other side. What you were called was pretty horrible.

I do imagine there will be a lot of other headlines coming out in flurries soon to try and get the public to focus elsewhere.

And the Whitehouse immediately released current signatures that don't seem to match. But if you look back to other signatures of the same date. They match. So why the effort to mislead?

It's 100% Donald who wrote that.... It's not a "gotcha" from 2003 a time before Trump was even the remotest possibility of being POTUS. No wonder Trump is doing everything he can to say there's nothing to see with the Epstein Files.

Because if the Epstein Files ever do see the light of day, there are many powerful people that are going to be placed into very uncomfortable legal was well as “unfavorable public notoriety” positions.

That much is pretty obvious.

Epstein was given a sweetheart deal in 2007 by Alex Acosta. Some of the people are mentioned. I suspect there are more.

Excerpt from the article that I wanted to highlight. Follow the link for the full article.

House panel asks Epstein estate for more information

In a letter released Tuesday, Comer also requested more information from Epstein’s estate, including unredacted cash ledgers, message logs, calendars and flight logs.

Comer told attorneys for Epstein’s estate that committee staff had the opportunity to review the materials in person, but wanted their own copies.

Comer wrote that the six ledgers contain tens of thousands of individual payments, and some “raise serious questions,” particularly the payments that went to known survivors with the message line “massage” or “gift.”

The 200 pages and digital spreadsheet of Epstein’s missed messages also “clearly indicated criminal behavior,” Comer alleged.

The chairman cited one note that stated: “She is wondering if 2:30 is ok cuz she needs to stay in school.” Another note referenced in the letter read: “[Named Co-Conspirator] hasn’t confirmed [Female 1] for 11:00 yet, so she is keeping [Female 2] on hold in case [Female 1] doesn’t call back.”

The requested calendars, according to Comer, include about 1,500 pages of communications detailing Epstein’s activities, including meetings with a number of high-profile people long known to be associated with Epstein. Comer said the calendars, which also included phone calls and travel, had redactions for “unspecified ‘privileged information’ with no accompanying explanation as to what privilege was asserted.”

Flight logs being sought by the committee, meanwhile, comprise of about 3,500 pages of logs that detailed “departure, arrival, time, and manifest information of thousands of flights taken by Mr. Epstein, Ms. Ghislaine Maxwell, associates, survivors, and others,” according to the letter.

The estate has already produced two batches of documents as the result of a subpoena, including more documents that the Oversight Committee released Tuesday.

After years of clamoring for the Epstein list/files to be released as you can see a certain segment of people no longer seem to care about its release. As a matter of fact many of those same people who were demanding its release are now blaming the other side for demanding its release.

And now you think it shouldn't be bumped up at all?

It's sort of odd the only comment you had to make about it is that people shouldn't be continuing to put it out front. And look at the people who haven't been responding to the topic all along.

Trump biographer Michael Wolff reveals he was shown the lewd photos by Jeffrey Epstein himself.Scroll back up to restore default view.
Jeffrey Epstein once dug into his safe to take out photos of Donald Trump posing with topless girls on his lap, author Michael Wolff revealed on a Thursday episode of Inside Trump’s Head. The photos became the subject of controversy earlier this week when Attorney General Pam Bondi dodged Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse’s questions about whether the FBI found the images during a search of Epstein’s belongings. Wolff, who Epstein once asked to write a book about him, recalled how the convicted sex offender took those photos out of his safe and spread them out on his massive dining room table during one encounter about 10 years ago.

There is an embedded video in the article worth the watch (under 8 minutes) that I couldn't get to transfer over.

Seriously - who is surprised. He's bragged about sex abuse by grabbing girls P*ssies. He's been found liable for rape. He's perved over his daughter. He's paid off a stripper while his wife was pregnant. He was best friends with Epstein back in the day - he loves young girls. His birthday message to Epstein speaks absolute volumes. It's almost beyond credibility that he wasn't enjoying under age girls that Epstein had in his entourage ... and knew exactly what he was up to. Denying this is to deny logic for the sake of trying to protect someone who is clearly a dispicable human being.

Trump wants this ‘lazy’ GOP congressman gone. He just broke a record
Rachel Cohen
Wed, October 15, 2025 at 3:30 PM EDT

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) just posted the best fundraising quarter of his career, despite threats from President Donald Trump and a MAGA super PAC hoping to derail his 2026 reelection bid.

Massie raised nearly $768,000 from July to September, according to a filing with the Federal Election Commission released Wednesday and reported by POLITICO. Between April and June, he had received around $584,000 in donations.

The new record comes as Massie, who has continued to remain at odds with his own party, has repeatedly broken with Trump on key issues, including voting against the president’s “big, beautiful bill” over the summer and criticizing his authority to launch U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites without congressional approval.

Trump had fired back at Massie at the time, calling him “not MAGA” and saying that the movement “doesn’t want him, doesn’t know him, and doesn’t respect him.”

“He is a negative force who almost always Votes ‘NO,’ no matter how good something may be. He’s a simple minded ‘grandstander...,’” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform in June.

In July, Trump described Massie in another post as “the worst Republican Congressman” and “an Embarrassment” to his home state.

“He’s lazy, slow moving, and totally disingenuous - A real loser! Never has anything positive to add,” he said.

Most recently, Massie has sparked the ire of his Republican colleagues in introducing a discharge petition that would prompt a floor vote on the Justice Department releasing all files related to the investigation into late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. He also urged Trump to tone down his rhetoric in the wake of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

While no clear Republican primary challengers to Massie have emerged, Trump said he was looking for “someone I can Endorse and vigorously campaign for” to defeat him.

Allies of Trump created MAGA KY in July as part of a broader effort to unseat Massie, which would be the first united attempt by Trump’s team to unseat a sitting Republican member of Congress. Meanwhile, Massie has continued to report strong fundraising numbers, with his campaign indicating in July that he had stockpiled more than $1.7 million for his reelection run, including money left over from his 2024 bid.

During the same month, Massie told NBC News that the super PAC has spent $1.8 million in his congressional district.

“I think it’s had very little effect, but they are trying to beat up on me to keep everyone else in line here and I think it is not working,” Massie said. “I think what’s going to happen, this will be a referendum on whether the executive branch controls the legislative branch.”

Most of the donations documented are from individual contributors, a filing shows. The reelection committees of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) have each sent over $2,000.

Ghislaine Maxwell gets 'hotel' guest treatment at 'Club Fed' prison, consultant says
Fellow inmates complain of special privileges for Epstein accomplice at minimum-security Texas facility: report
By Michael Ruiz Fox News

Former federal prison director says Ghislaine Maxwell's prison transfer 'highly unusual'
Judi Garrett, former assistant director at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, said Ghislaine Maxwell's transfer to a minimum security prison camp is "highly unusual."

Ghislaine Maxwell, the sex-trafficking accomplice and former lover of Jeffrey Epstein, is getting "unusually favorable treatment" after arriving at a "Club Fed" prison in Texas, according to a new report.

Resentful fellow prisoners have complained of changes to the Federal Prison Camp Bryan's security measures and occasional special privileges granted to Maxwell, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Bryan is a minimum-security facility with 622 inmates, including Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes and former "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star Jennifer Shah.

The 63-year-old Maxwell arrived over the summer after agreeing to meet with federal prosecutors and before the Supreme Court denied her latest appeal.

The paper also reported that Maxwell's fellow inmates were warned not to discuss her case with the press. One, who talked to one of the paper's reporters, was later sent to a higher-security facility.

Sam Mangel is a federal prison consultant whose clients have included Sam Bankman-Fried and Steve Bannon. He told Fox News Digital he works with two women incarcerated at Bryan, neither of whom will discuss Maxwell, even with him, over the phone or through email.

"Speaking with the sister of one of my clients yesterday or the day before, she told me that they are treating Maxwell more like she's the guest in a hotel as opposed to an inmate in a federal prison," he said Wednesday.

In one example, he said prison officials locked down the whole camp, so Maxwell could have a secretive visit with VIP guests in the chapel.

"They actually closed everything down and locked everybody in their unit and brought the visitors into the chapel but through a side entrance so that no one can see who the visitors were," Mangel said. "That's very unusual."

However, he added, if Maxwell were to have visitors in front of other inmates, that could stoke further controversy, especially for prisoners with daughters the same age as Maxwell's victims. It's unprecedented that someone convicted of sex crimes would be housed at Bryan, he said, which he called the most desirable prison for women convicted of white collar felonies in the country.

"You're gonna go into a visiting room and see Maxwell, who doesn't belong there, having these visits in a casual situation or environment, that that's upsetting," he said. "It really upsets the other inmates and their families."

"Strings were absolutely pulled at the highest possible levels of the DOJ to get her moved from Tallahassee to Bryan," he said. "Now, I agree that there was a reason to move her from Tallahassee. Once she started cooperating, and it was obvious she was cooperating with Todd Blanche, she became a target."

Blanche is the deputy attorney general who interviewed Maxwell at her former prison Federal Correctional Institution, Tallahassee, in Florida, in August. That facility is a low-security prison more typical for housing a sex offender like Maxwell.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Bureau of Prisons did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The agency instead sent an automated email saying that its public affairs office would not be commenting due to the ongoing government shutdown.

The Supreme Court rejected Maxwell's appeal last week. She's due for release in 2037 after a 20-year sentence for procuring girls for Epstein, who died in a federal jail in New York before his own trial in 2019.

Maxwell told Blanche she never witnessed President Donald Trump doing anything "inappropriate with anybody." She shot down claims that former President Bill Clinton had traveled to Epstein's infamous island in the U.S. Virgin Islands and said the Clintons were her friends, not Epstein's.

"I do believe that Epstein did a lot of, not all, but some of what he's accused of, and I'm not here to defend him in any respect whatsoever," Maxwell told Blanche. "I don't want to, and I don't think he requires, nor deserves any type of protection or — from me in any way, to sugarcoat what he did or didn't do."

Cooperation with authorities is one of two major areas where inmates can improve their prison conditions, according to Mangel. The other is acceptance of responsibility.

When Maxwell met with Blanche, she claimed her innocence and denied having witnessed any nonconsensual sexual activity or sex with minors.

Maybe her preferential treatment is due to the same reasons why George Santos prison sentence was commuted?

President Donald Trump said that despite George Santos being "somewhat of a 'rogue,'" he had the "courage, conviction, and intelligence to always vote Republican!"

Ghislaine Maxwell is a monster and it is beyond belief that she is beinggiven an easy time in prison in egange for saying whatever Trump wants to hear her say. Read the excerpt from the link above ... or here ... https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/oct/15/prince-andrew-virginia-giuffre-abuse-epstein-maxwell

Absolutely sickening.

And these MAGA faithful who were all onboard "release the files" when it was a Trump campaign issue .. now drinking the kooliad of "nothing to see here folks". Makes me sick to the pit of my stomach reading Maxwell get off like this.
