As you know, there are a multitude of coffee brands and ways to brew your favorite cup, so I was curious what you folks do to start your morning ritual?

For me, I consume Cafe Bustelo in K-Cup form. I find K-cups to be the easiest for me. The coffee is listed as an Espresso style. I just brew an 8 oz cup which takes me back to Ybor City for a good Cuban roast coffee. A solid strong-tasting coffee.

No cream, no sugar, just black.

For those of you who take cream and sugar, I can tell this will stand up to the mellowing of the cream, giving you a nice con leche yet still have a solid coffee flavor.

If you favor a bold coffee, give it a try. It's in most stores, look for the yellow box, pack, or can.

I like a medium roast. Today's grind is Hawaiian. My buddy brought me four different roasts straight from the source in Kona, so I've been tearing those up lately. Most days I'm Original Donut Shop in a K-Cup. That's my GOAT in the K-Cup category, I'll drink it till I die. Black Rifle "Just Black" takes the back seat for a solid backup. I'll have to try that Cafe Bustelo, I've almost grabbed a box a hundred times but still haven't.

Yep I'm one of those strange people that has never liked coffee.

You could have stopped right there... we've got about a hundred examples.

I have never had a cup of coffee in my life. Tasted my Mom's a few times as a kid. The sweet "coffee beverages" I smell people drinking today makes me feel like I may as well drink a soda. I do drink hot unsweetened tea every morning and very lightly sweetened iced tea sometimes.

My wife doesn't either but we both like the smell of coffee.

I'm not kidding. The wife and I are off of the K cups and have been drinking this for the past year. We're like the antisnobs.

I'll have to try that for those fall and winter "put on a pot of coffee" type days.

House labels get a bad rap for no good reason. One of my favorite tequilas has a Kirkland label on it. $26 per bottle for a full liter. I'd pour it next to $100+ bottles in a blind taste test and it would pull equal votes.

Funny you should mention that. A friend of mine gave me one of those big bottles of the Kirklands gin one night this summer when I ran out of my Bombay Saphire. We had a bunch of people over to the campsite enjoying gin and tonics (I've gotten more than a few people really liking those). That stuff was definitely a step above the Gordons and Seagrams value brands. I'll definitely pick up another bottle and save the Bombay for special occasions.

Folgers, or Maxwell house. Just a plain dude. Black, no cream, no sugar. 1 whole pot, every other day. Brew a pot, drink half of it in the morning. Let the rest sit in the pot till the next day. Microwave it the next day.

I am to coffee what I am to pretty much everything: Not picky. Not snobby.

I have never spent 1 penny on a "latte", for "cappuccino", etc.

Have some uppity, "wealthy" (read that as : Image is everything for them) friends. "Hey, we're going to drive 45 miles to go to Starbucks, wanna go?" No.

Yep. Unfortunately, Costco doesn't sell liquor in Ohio. I pop in whenever I'm in Indiana. Stopped in one in Louisville, KY and there's a separate liquor warehouse!

It's hard to recommend this because of price... it's easy to recommend because, imo, it makes the GOAT gin and tonic. Tonic syrup -- I use about 3/4 oz with club soda instead of tonic. Amazon has it on sale from time to time. Amazing product that you'll find yourself adding to plain ice water for a refreshing beverage.

I drink instant at home; the wife doesn’t drink coffee, we have a coffee-maker but it is never used.
I’m good with instant.

Only a hundred

I'm not a big coffee drinker. My wife is however. She makes a full 12 cup pot first thing in the morning and sometimes over half a pot later in the day. Growing up my parents drank Maxwell House and many of my relatives drank Folgers. I found both to be a bit bitter and had somewhat of a strong after taste so I simply never drank coffee.

When my wife and I got together she drank Yuban. It has a rich, full bodied flavor but it's smooth with no lingering after taste. I found it to be quite pleasant. Still not a big coffee drinker but I do drink a 16 oz. insulated cup of it each morning with just a little milk. I use the insulated mug to keep it warm since I tend to nurse it for quite some time.
