The city gets what they want and the Browns get what they want. A long drawn out negotiation process.

The last game that gets played there,

The fans may just demolish that stadium.

Like Muni, as fans are carrying out seats after the game.

I wouldn't mind taking a sledge hammer to that place with all the misery that place has given me.

Baker opening up Bud light refrigerators is one of the only good memories I recall from that place

The “Run, William Run” game when William Green busted for 64 yards to help us get into the playoffs - I was there - has to be the biggest moment in that stadium. The bar hasn’t been set real high, but that was a cool afternoon.

That game was the last time I went to a game in Cleveland. Such a great game, but it is such an awful stadium that is hard to get to. Every game since then has been on the road. I can't wait to go to this new stadium.

The old tradition growing up was going to the Inn at the Barristers before a game. I'll only miss one of those two places, but I've already had to grieve for the one that I'll miss because it is already gone.

Wait - didn't they sell everybody PSLs last time... and then just took them away right after they sold them?

Fool me once....

Not right after, but yeah.

It's Haslam's way of applying for welfare benefits at the expense of the most dedicated fans. Which, in turn, will "price out" many of those fans and piss off a bunch of others. Which, in turn, will result in more corps buying the psls and diluting the actual integrity of being a "fan".

It's one thing to look at the screen and see that beautiful Big Mac and then be disappointed when that smashed-up burger doesn't match expectations; it's quite another to order that and be served a $h*t sandwich. Jimmy Haslam's Browns are a perennial $h*t sandwich, now you get to pay for a gourmet meal before you tuck that napkin in your collar and eat it.

So he will be selling PSL's exactly like they did in 1999. Nobody is forced to buy them. Isn't this the perfect example of capitalism? Charging whatever the market will bear?

To fans it's a sport. If they could get in touch with realty and think of it in terms of the fact it's a corporation and is conducted as such it may help them keep their emotions in check.

I agree that it doesn't make it any less painful but it's standard operating procedure in the business world.

Fate, you're looking at this all wrong. I've nearly sold myself on the club seats b/t the 30s. The elevated food and beverage options w/ premium views will enhance my entertainment experience as I fully immerse myself in the Browns gameday experience. This includes, but is not limited to; balls doinking off receivers helmets, ST gaffes and miscues, the adrenaline rush of 'will the Browns score 20 points today', inopportune turnovers, and who can forget the "here we go Brownies, here we go" chant in the 3rd quarter while being down 27 points!

The less exciting alternative it to wait until about week 7 when tickets are going for about $11 on the secondary market.

rofl As long as I can watch all the missed FGs in a VR Club setting with a $40 drink in my hand, I'm in.

That's one thing you can't bla them for. False advertisement. You know exactly what you're paying for. naughtydevil

My friend Rob is a Steelers fan. He used to talk smack about the Browns any chance he got. I was talking to him at his office about 10-12 years ago and he said something to the effect that "In a few years their gonna have to finally be good." That was a long time ago. I'm not too sure he is ever going to be right anymore (sighs)...

Just clicking, I'd probably not be so opposed to a new stadium if they product on the field warranted it.. It just doesn't.

Honestly, my last game was the Falcons game where we clinched a playoff spot. I last visited Cleveland in the offseason a couple of years ago. This team give no reason to return when it is cold up north. From a travel prospective, I'll absolutely come back during the season to go to a game in the new stadium. To be clear, the same would apply with a more modern stadium that was outdoors. Currently both the team and the stadium are a dump. At least with a new stadium, there is something exciting to justify the visit. Otherwise, I'll go visit on an away game when they are in town down in Florida if my work schedule allows and come visit when the weather is more pleasant.

I'm not sure that the current stadium is a Dump... Did you ever go to Muni? Now that was a dump.

My point however is simple, They put a crap product on the field and want us to pay for Steak!
