Sanders played better but he still didn't play all that great. Considering who we played against I was hoping for more out of him. I did like how he looks to be working on his very bad habit of running backwards and getting sacked. It was very obvious Sanders made a HUGE effort to get rid of the ball instead of taking sacks so I really enjoyed seeing him improve that part of his game. He still had lots of bad reads and some pretty bad throws but against a very bad team he looked better than Dillon would have I think. I say let Sanders start until they let Watson take over.
I think that was about as good as you can expect out of a rookie 5th rounder in his first start. I wasn't a fan of his completion percentage and some of his decisions/plays, but 1 sack, the win, hitting a couple longer throws and a (very) successful screen pass...? I'll take that operating within this offense.... and if that's the foundation that he's gonna build off and improve from? I'll DEFINITELY take that.
