Myles is having a career year.

Being an old guy I have seen many great pass rushers. Starting with Deacon Jones.

So I have lots of greats I can compare to.

Myles is one of one. His combination of power, speed, quickness and balance is astounding.

This year the interior tackle play is releasing Myles. He can use his full toolbox. He is unblockable.

I was listening to Joe Thomas talking about Myles yesterday. When Joe talks about pass rushing. You listen because Joe knows.

Joe said Myles is the best he ever faced. He said there was a play Sunday when he looked at his wife and just shook his head "damn."

He had three sacks Sunday. He was an eyelash away from three more. If Geno was not in full panic mode to get rid of the ball. Myles would have had wacko sack day.

Everybody should just watch Myles and savor it. You are watching the best in the history of the NFL.

I agree. I too remember Deacon Jones a great player. He was feared! Our FO should do everything possible to get our O competitive, so we don't waste Myles talent the way we did Joe Thomas.

He only has four and a half more sacks to go in order to break the NFL sack record for a season. thumbsup

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Myles has been one of the greatest to ever play his entire career, but this season is just DIFFERENT. He is on a new level. It kind of started to show up last season, but it is really shining through this season.

One more three-sack game and he'll be just outside the Top 5 All-Time, tied for 6th. Tied with Reggie White, ahead of L.T.

Now.... how sad is it that we had among the best EVER Pass Rush and Left Tackle on the team AT THE SAME TIME, and we couldn't barely muster any winning seasons.

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Every team knows that the first task is to contain Myles Garrett.

And they still cannot stop him.

Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!…. That did not age well.

The video is for more dramatic effect, lol. Myles has been amazing. I love that he has some talented guys on the line with him, so they can’t quadruple team him, lol.

The ability to get more pressure up the middle and requiring opposing O's to place more attention to the interior of the DL has certainly been a helpful tool for Myles to showcase his abilities.

I was able to watch L T and the Minister of Defense!

L T played as a linebacker. He had so much speed. He played off the line. He had so much momentum that the tackle or guard could not move fast enough to counter.

Reggie White had so much power that he just ran over people.

Bruce Smith was super quick off the snap. He was in the backfield at the blink of an eye.

Miles has all of these traits. It is truly unbelievable what this guy can do. Many talk about his bend. I don't know of any pass rusher with that capability.

He's been fun to watch this year. He's at his peak right now IMO. Dominant force

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

More pressure from the interior of the DL and we've also added some blitzers - Delphit and Schesinger have been sent on occaision. Not overly so - but enough to add another factor into the mix for the OL blocking schemes to think about.

No-one else in the game today can do everything that Myles does - and it's good to see him reach his ceiling with the extra help on D. When he was literally the only real threat - it made it hard to see him double teamed and held so often, leading to some suggesting he wasn't that good or lacked effort. He's a generational talent and between him, Delphit, Ward and Schwesinger it's a pleasure to watch the D even as bad as this team has been on offense. Tyson Campbell has also out played Newsome - another nice thing to see and witness.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

There have been Myles workouts posted and gone viral.

He measures 6'4" 275 lbs.

If you had the ability to build a Frankenstein football player. He would be the blueprint.

Not many people on this earth that come built like him. Then add his athleticism and drive.

I think of Ohtani in baseball and LeBron.

Myles is that.

He is not a quarterback and doesn't play on offense. So he can only be looked at as a defensive player.

He is now being looked at for what he is. The best defensive player in football.

I'm going to start this thread by stating that I agree with most-everything said in this Myles lovefest thread...he is a unicorn. Here is what is missing tho...

It is ridiculous the number of holding non-calls against him by the offense...I know...I know...you could call holding on almost every play...I get that...but too many times there is such an egregious hold against him that it is infuriating...I'm not even talking about grabbing of the jersey...I'm talking about an arm under his neck and the OL riding him away from the QB...most times right in front of a ref...even the announcers ignore it somehow.

I cannot fathom the number of times Myles jumps offside...particularly on 3rd and 5 or less. It's more frustrating than the non-holding calls...it literally keeps the O on the field without them even running a play...and it happens A LOT.

I enjoy seeing sacks...more so multiple sacks per game...but I want more from him than (3) sacks when we are stomping the Raiders or (5) sacks when we are helpless against the Pats. I want a stop when the Vikings sauntered down the field for the game-winning-late-game score. That's what I remember from guys like L.T. and Reggie White...acknowledging that history has a way of erasing the blemishes.

I don't think Myles takes plays off...the effort is there every play...but there are big games where he isn't very effective...(0) sacks in three straight games (losses) against PIT, DET, MIN and (1) Jet sack coming off a bye week.

He's a great player...a one of a kind...I've never seen a football player with that combo of size/speed/power/dominance/effectiveness...it's almost unfair.
