I watch all the TV shows about people living alternative lifestyles.

Life Below Zero, Homestead Rescue, Mountain Men, Yukon Men, The Last Alaskans, Northwoods Survival.

Northwoods Survival started in 2024.

I really like the show it is not just trapping and hunting. The cast are likeable people who are living in different ways.

There is this young French woman whose name is Margot Bossus who lives in the Yukon. She built a primitive cabin with little help using hand tools.

She runs a trapline with a dog sled made up of 10 dogs or so during the winter. In the Summer and Fall she guides horseback hunts in the Yukon wilderness. She handles riding and pack horses in open wild country. She shoes horses, packs them with camping gear loads and has to train the horses. Typically using about eight horses. She leads them across wild rivers and through thick brush.

This young woman is maybe 30. She is effing amazing. She can swing an axe like a lumberjack. Drive nails with hammers like a pro. She is as tough as any man. She is also mentally tough as hell.

Handling horses in the environment she uses them is incredibly dangerous. Horses panic. They are huge and dangerous animals. So many things can go wrong when they are used like she uses them. If there was an accident they are a long way from help.

She is a musher. Using a dog sled on a trap line. That means cutting trail. Handling dogs that are not house pets. A dog team is a powerful group. You can lose control and lose the team. It is dangerous running dogs from a dog sled through the Canadian wilderness. In addition you have to almost be a vet because the dogs need lots of different kinds of care.

Here is the kicker. She is effing beautiful. She is near six feet tall. Built like a professional athlete. If she had a movie "makeover." And was put in model clothes and had makeup on. She could be a runway model. Wearing work clothes and zero makeup. She is strikingly beautiful.

If you like that kind of thing it is good series.

Life Uncontained is pretty good. A young couple who built a home out of shipping containers and are now building a shipping container cabin in a section of woods they bought.

Tiny Shiny Home is a family who moved to the desert and are building a home out of native soil. (in long bags) It gets a bit repetative, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Good Simple Living is another one I watch. They seem like decent people, and have a toy drive for kids with cancer every Christmas.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
