rofl.....ouch
Dawglover....Yeah, we wouldn't trade Quinn for anything less than a 1st. His value has actually improved over the year instead of going the other way. People didn't know much about some no-named QB from Virginia that the Falcons were willing to trade, but with a good reputation and just a few good plays under his belt, he went to the Texans for a ton of draft value. Quinn wouldn't be any different, as he has a good rep, and in his very limited time, has looked very good. Teams in need and their draft position would dictate exactly what his value would be, but he's at least worth a mid-first rounder now.

Hey Toad, Speaking of Schaub, what did the Falcons get for him anyway?

If memory serves me correctly, they swapped positions in the 1st round, then Atlanta got both of the Texans 2nd round picks, one this past year and one next.

pretty much what I remembered....and Savage referred to it during the break??? As in a deal that we would not accept with a tendered DA...only the max, a first n third...of course that was when DA was 17 TDs n 9 INTs with a QB rating closer to 100 than 89.
Now he says he's our starter and we are looking to sign him long term???
We'll see in about 5-6 weeks from now.
I'll will be surprised if DA is signed.

Same here. Of course Anderson could surprise everyone and accept a lighter offer, but that'd be the only way. To beat the dead horse, Savage has no reason to pick a guy as "THE" longterm starter right now.

Thanks
So, let me get this right, Swaped 1sts and two 2nds for Schaub.. basically a guy that when called upon did a decent job.. But if memory serves me correctly, didn't exactly light it up like DA did!
Yeah, I'm thinking a minimum of a 1st and 3rd would be the price tag for DA.
One thing to consider however.. look at the totally unexpected thing that happened in Atlanta.. Everything was fine. Vick was in place and they thought, hey, let's trade Schaub and get some flunky to take the Back up spot.... look, we can move up in the 1st and get two 2nd rounders.. wow, such a deal..
Vick gets arrested, goes to jail, doesn't play for the team and they are in a mess...
Not that Quinn is gonna get arrested for dog fighting or anything else, but he could get injured ya know..
Just some food for thought!

I'm thinking that's what he will be "tendered" at. What the actual "minimum we will take" is totaly dependant of what Savage feels DA's "actual value" is.
And we have no idea as to precisely what that is...................

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
