We are seeing the beginning of a core of players that could really make a mark - the "Hungry Dawgs."
Mason Graham, Carson Schwesinger, Quinshon Judkins, Harold Fannin, Dylan Sampson, Schedeur Sanders, Isaiah Bond, Adin Huntington, Raheim Sanders, Andre Szmyt.
Ten players that are all new to the team and have made positive contributions.
We don't even know yet how good these guys can be.
This year has been difficult. Losing sucks.
But the "Hungry Dawgs" give reasons for hope.

Next week we may be adding a name to this list TE Sal Cannella. I almost forgot about him. He looked good in the preseason and yesterday was a bright spot in the 2nd. If Fannon is out next week vs the Bengals I think Sal will be Sander's security blanket next week and show he has ability to make the roster next season. He is a nice-looking TE prospect.

There is no doubt that he has out played Newsome.
Yesterday he was fantastic. Ward and Campbell held Rodgers in check.

The 2025 draft went a very long way in getting where the Browns need to go. There are some very essential holes still needed to be filled so we will certainly see how that develops. If they can maintain the upwards trajectory and build on what they did during past off season the future could be bright. At this point I'm in wait and see mode.
I'm not as sold on Sanders as some are. He has some talent and it's not impossible he cold be the answer but I'm not even remotely convinced that will happen. But even a worse case scenario we have a decent back-up QB there and for a fifth round draft pick that in and of itself is a win.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I agree with the Sanders part. He has improved some, but below what I would like to see in a starting QB yet. Part may be the different game called by OC. Not all is him by any metric, but it still has issues to address. Thanks for the win, but it was lousy in spots. Hats off to rooks who played well.

Yesterday, I saw him beat a blitzer by dumping the ball off to a non-primary read.
This is huge improvement from that preseason game as well as when he came in vs Baltimore. IMO, that's a bigger deal than his (albeit small) collection of good plays he puts together each game.

While several of those guys are truly special (Schwesinger, for starters), let's not get carried away..... these are guys getting touches on a 4-win team that has been outclasses in nearly every single game all season.
Some of these guys are starting because of injury, some of them simply because we don't have anyone better to put ahead of them because we chose to get younger this year.
Graham: is very solid, and should become quite good. Judkins:... sorry, but I see William Green 2.0. Dude is not a Nick Chubb caliber player. Harold Fannin: looks like the real deal Dylan Sampson: poor man's Kareem Hunt. I like him, but he's pretty raw Schedeur Sanders: improving, but still not good. Yeah, a lot of his INT's are tipped balls.... but, he has an inordinately large number of tipped balls for an INT Isaiah Bond, Adin Huntington, Raheim Sanders: they may flash, but none are special; all are likely 2nd stringers on a good team Andre Szmyt: looks like he has a future here
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

It is important to keep in mind where players are drafted.
Once into the 4th round expectations are make the team. Develop into role players and good depth.
Maybe become a starter down the road.
Kareem Hunt has had a damn good career for a RB.
Judkins is still to be determined but he has shown promise considering who is "not" blocking.

I appreciate your positivity, but lets not go overboard.Half of those dime a dozen players will be answers to trivia questions that only the most die hard Browns fan would know. What should impress you is that Jeudy not only got open, but actually caught the ball.
Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

RB Raheim Sanders looks really good too. He looks (to me) to be a decent battering-ram-type RB. I'm not gonna lie, I was kinda chuckling on plays where he was trying to make a move. I honestly think he'd be better served just running into the pile vs trying to hit a cutback.

That comes in handy during third and very short yardage situations. Especially at the goal line. I'm not sure however if that alone will be enough moving forward to secure a roster spot.
