For me, Toy Caldwell was The Marshall Tucker Band. When he left I followed his career. He made one solo album and then passed away. Yet another one taken from us too soon.

Someone I don't think gets the credit he deserves......

Cody Johnson may not be everyone's cup of tea but I can't think of a better story teller that most of us can relate to........

Raul Malo passed away this week.One of my favorite bands.

I agree. And from looking at many of the different videos we post I would say we both feel that same way about many musical artists. It often amazes me of some of the people who have reached great success on the commercial side of music while looking at so many that are so much more talented who never did...................



Growing up in farm country I really liked this one too........



I know this music isn't everyone's cup of tea. But I'm from the Pure Prairie League, Marshall Tucker Band era and this very much reminds me of early Pure Prairie League. The problem is this style of music doesn't fit into a nice, neat little box anymore so nobody really tended to play much of it when it came out.

I was lucky enough to live near a city just large enough to have what was then called "alternative". Only then it meant an alternative to music that was very popular and they played more obscure yet talented Rock & Roll. WVUD out of The University of Dayton in the 1970's. I learned very early on that many great artists were overlooked.
