He made playoffs with Flacco as perfect things fell into place . Among those things facing weak azz schedule when Flacco came in. Bottom feeder defenses . Then what happened when the Browns faced the Texans ? Reality set in .want to be average . Hire Kevin Stefanski. Want to be good or better ...hire Jim Harbaugh. Stefanski won nothing of significance in Cleveland. A under .500 coach. Yawn

That Callahan tweet was quite the plot twist. Sounds like if Callahan wanted away from anyone/anything, it wasn't KS.

Another classic example of press and fans not reading it right. And we still don’t know if any of the conjectures that he wanted away from the Browns or someone in particular is just BS or not.

The NFL is something. Sure is. If the refs would have called a catch a catch, he might be there for another ten years.

105–57 (.648) McDermott should be on a plane to Cleveland RIGHT NOW.....

As soon as the receivers back hit the ground the play was over. The defender then ripped the ball out of a tackled players hands and they called the play an interception. That led to Denver winning the game and now a coach losing his job. Terrible call and made worse when replayed and not overturned. Same thing happened in the Rams/Bears game, but the officials got it right and ruled a knee was down so the play was over before the defender pulled the ball away.

The NFL is something. No kidding.. For comparison sake, Marv Levy took his team to the Superbowl 4 times in a row,, Lost all for and stayed on for years after. Today, it's win now or take the highway... As if the only reason a team wins or loses on just the coach.....

It is bad enough that the refs determined the outcome.
I don't get it.
I don't understand the owners.
My inner self is an optimistic person. I am for sure a half full guy.
I cannot be that with the Browns. Haslam is a loser. He has proven it over and over again.
We have not hired the head coach yet. And I have zero confidence that this will come out right.
The Browns are in a position where it has to be Sanders. They do not have any other answer.
And there is no answer within sight. Berry is still the GM?

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Same thing happened in the Rams/Bears game, but the officials got it right and ruled a knee was down so the play was over before the defender pulled the ball away. I didn't think it was bad call because it looked to me as though both players had their hands on the ball when his back hit. Neither had sole possession and the defender won the battle for possession. But that's neither here nor there really. It can certainly be seen in both directions and is questionable. The fact that his job hinged on that one play being the reason for the loss and deciding his fate is the crazy part of it and the refs really have nothing to do with that. That's on the Bills leadership.

I can see both sides but my inclination is that if there's call that could go either way, they should default to the team with possession keeps the ball. That really could have been called either way. My first reaction was that he was down. I get that it looked like he didn't have full possession but I feel like he had enough at the point of being down. It was only after that that his possession came into question.
I feel like Buffalo and Cleveland have a similar kind of tragic luck. When all the chips are in, the magic usually breaks bad. Like, everything has to go right, and it never does. My roommate in college was a Bills fan and I had a front row seat to those superbowls breaking his heart. It felt so Browns. Incidentally, I also have a friend, was major Saints fan, who has never watched a single down of NFL football since the pass interference no-call in 2019. Turned the TV off and washed his hands of the NFL forever and never looked back. I mentioned to him this year that it looks like they may have a QB and he told me he simply doesn't care anymore. Sometimes I think we would be much better served to go that route. But here we are.

I get what you're saying. If only we had the strength to just walk away. I've come close a few times but never quite managed to get there. It's caused me more pain and disappointment than it has caused me pleasure over the decades. Maybe somewhere down deep inside we are all masochists to a certain degree.
