Interesting hire. Clearly, Stefanski likes Rees more than Van Pelt as OC, but does anyone know if Rees and Van Pelt worked together? I've looked briefly and, seeing nothing, it seems like Stefanski has some influence in Rees' offensive staff.
Same thing with the Callahan hire as well.

Van Pelt can seamlessly step into the OC role once Rees lands a HC job in college. He’s been a finalist for the UCLA and UNC jobs in each of the past two years. It sure seems like that is his preferred career trajectory. I don’t think AVP will step on his toes.
Also, with the hiring of AVP and to some extent, Callahan, it’s quite apparent the Breer report of Stefanski being forced by the FO to get rid of AVP after the 2023 season was accurate, among the other happenings from Breer’s report. Unsurprising.
