I'm surprised that nobody had posted this yet but since nobody else did here goes............

Predict the winner of the Super Bowl. You can add the prediction of the score as well if you so choose and your reasoning for your prediction also if you so choose.

I'm predicting the Seahawks will win. But it's not as easy for me to predict as I first thought it would be.

The Patriots defense is considered a top-10 unit, finishing the season allowing 18.8 points per game (4th best) and ranking 8th in total defense (295.2 yards per game). They are particularly strong against the pass, with some metrics ranking their pass defense 9th (193.5 yards allowed.

The Patriots finished the regular season ranked 3rd in total offense, averaging 379.4 yards per game. They also ranked 2nd in scoring with 28.8 points per game and 4th in passing offense (250.5 yards per game).

I will say that new England's schedule was somewhat weak so I'm allowing for that.

The Seahawks were the #1 ranked overall defense in DVOA and the top-ranked scoring defense (17.2 points per game). Under Mike Macdonald, they lead the league in several key metrics, including 3rd-down conversions (32.05%) and overall defensive efficiency entering the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks averaged 28.4 points per game, ranking as a top-three scoring offense in the league. They finished as the 7th ranked offense in terms of yards per game (351.4) in 2025.

The only places I feel the Seahawks have an advantage an advantage is by having a more experienced QB and more dynamic big play makers.

So I'm going with......

Seahawks 27

Patriots 20

I predict as in years past, I don’t watch it.
It isn’t even for the fans anymore. What does a ticket even cost anymore?

I haven't been subtle of what I think about the Patriots. I think Seattle smothers their O from the opening kick, and it gets ugly after the half. I think Darnold gets pulled and the backup gets a few drives in the 4th, along with the victory formation.

It's free for fans to watch it on NBC at 6:00 P.M. E.S.T.

I can't blame the NFL because wages didn't keep up with ticket prices. NFL games sell out every week. The SB sells out every year. Being an NFL fan I watch games every week and the SB every year.

I hate Boston’s sports teams, their [censored] fans, the city and the media. I said before the game started that Seattle’s defence would control the game and they’d win by 10/plus, their D is just so dominant. But NE’s D can keep things tight.

I honestly didn't watch last years or the year before or the year before

I would rather watch a collage marching band then the halftime show the NFL has.

Who was last years show ?

So the 2018 quarterback draft class has a Super Bowl winner.

I feel vindicated. It has taken a while but Sam Darnold did it.

It was Darnold that I wanted in that draft. My choice preference was Darnold, Allen, Baker.

When that draft was going down what I liked about Darnold was his mobility and his ability to be accurate while moving.

Allen had the highest ceiling but he was not very accurate. To his credit he really worked at throwing and became a great quarterback.

Baker I liked because he was accurate and I loved his intensity and passion for the game.

Darnold had to go the hard way. He went into bad situations and struggled. Then he found himself with the Vikings. Since then he has played damn good football.

He still forces some throws but he is much more disciplined.

The Seahawks dominated on defense. Maybe if we can get to be a top 15 offense in scoring with our defense. We could make some noise.

Lamp, I feel the same way about Boston Sports teams and their fans and have stated that a few times before on these forums. The Pats don't bother me much but the other teams, especially the Red Sox and Celtics, I dislike intensely. The fans have a sense of entitlement, are crybaby's and are generally obnoxious. I've said more than once to Pats fans when they were complaining how would you like it if you had a team like the Browns? I've known Pats fans that said they wouldn't watch the Super Bowl if the Pats weren't in it. Glad Seattle won especially for Sam Darnold.

I was happy to see Darnold get a ring. He fought through a lot of adversity and an uphill battle to get to where he is. It certainly wasn't anything close to his best game but watching it be a team win and defense being the driving force of both teams takes me back to a time I remember fondly.

I didn't really have a horse in the race. The outcome really wasn't himportant to me. I had reasons to be happy no matter who won. I'm a HUGE Buckeyes fan and they were represented on both teams. You have TreVeyon Henderson on the Patriots and Jaxon Smith-Njigba on the Seahawks. With Njigba winning offensive player of the year.

I like both coaches. Mike Macdonald at 36 years old has shown what a great HC and leader of a team he is. And he's not that bombastic, loud guy which a lot of fans seem to think you need. He took a much more humble approach to being a HC to his team by repeatedly emphasizing to his team, staff, and the media that he had "a lot to learn" and that the team was "still learning who we are". I like that.

And in terms of Vrabel, I live in the Nashville area. I sat here and listened to the fans and media lambaste Vrabel. I saw all of the blame laid squarely on his shoulders for the Titans problems. I saw them use him as the scapegoat for all of it. I never believed that. I saw a team without a QB. With a very weak roster brought to them by the management and owner.

And I know the Patriots have won a lot of SB's. I know their fans can be very obnoxious. But at the same time I wanted to see Vrabel stick it in the face of the Titans and their fan base. But I suppose just making it to the SB was enough. He had the opportunity to go back to the team he had won 3 SB rings with as a LB'er and be their HC. That's a pretty amazing story all on its own.
