You implied he or somebody offended my family. What the hell does that have to do with understanding English? Care to elaborate, or just trolling again?

Newsome showed what he thought about black people in that interview. He said I am just like you "dumb" in so many words. That is the stereotype Newsome and other Dems associate with black people. That is why these white liberal socialist think voter ID is racist. That is why they do not see black people as capable of improving themselves and use government programs designed to help them but really keep them impoverished and reliant on them. Newsome just said it out loud for all to hear.

That's great, but your comment makes no sense... then you say I can't understand English. I'm more than happy to laugh at a joke, I just have no idea how this one was supposed to land.

"in so many words"?

With all that's going on you have chosen to ignore instead you grasp at straws. But after all that is the trumpian way. Grasp at straws while yelling "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

Just an observation.

I mean if you want to make someone else out to be crooked maybe you should not have it be done by someone whose history is so murky himself.

I actually think that's a positive suggestion. thumbsup

I see it the other way. A fraud will know fraud when he sees it. We've finally figured out how to get Jim Jordan to be a productive member of congress.

I thought trump was enough of an example of that. But yes, it does seem they're beginning to use that tactic across the board. And it seems by the results from the MAGA crowd it's working for them.

Thanks for the bio, Encyclopedia Brown. He's saying the same thing a lot of people are saying. Are you saying only liberal point-of-views should be represented here, or are you just butthurt because Jazzy Jaz is gone?

Come on man. You thought just because he was black that he was a liberal. This thread itself is about things democrats are doing and saying.

That's pretty cheap attempt at covering your own azz. naughtydevil

Absolutely not. I know he's a conservative and I'm pretty sure I've quoted his Tweets before. He a Black man from #Commonsenseland. I posted his comment because he's saying what a lot of people are thinking, but if someone with limited melanin says it, they're racist.

So really, you insisting that I thought he was a liberal just because he's Black is because you thought he was liberal just because he's Black... which in and of itself is a racist trope that you're now deflecting on to me.

I suppose you could be pointing out just how crazy those on the right can be when they insist on using racist tropes towards black people like "low IQ and ghetto" to describe them.

And I would certainly agree that a lot of people think, and many actually say those exact same things.

If that was the point you were making bravo! Well done!

Nah, more like when the shoe fits don't hide it in the closet and go barefoot for fear of hurting someone's feelings. If someone is low IQ and ghetto, calling it out isn't a "racist trope", it's a reality.

On the flip side, calling everything a racist trope because someone is Black - that's a cop-out. And I'll let you in on a secret: Americans see that for what it is as well, even if many won't say it out loud.

You have proven in the past you're smarter than that. I have no idea what happened to you.

You know as well as I do those are racist comments. Unlike many I often call out people who make excuses to call anything and everything racist. But this one is obvious and you support it. Hmmmm.....

So a conservative directly targets three black Democrats, not a single white Democrat, call these black democrats low IQ and ghetto and you don't see anything racist about that. At that point point you should be calling yourself names. Supporting racist comments is not attractive. Unless of course you're a trumpian. Then it becomes a badge of honor. I heard it will take between six and eight weeks for your badge to arrive.

No, nothing racist. And nobody was "targeted". They happen to be three Black people that are using a "schtick" (his words) to try to appeal to a certain class of voters. If they happen to be the three Black politicians doing it - pointing it out isn't racist.

He's merely of the opinion that voters are tired of it and are no longer putting "likely oppressed" and "show me how ghetto you are" at the top of their checklist before they go to the polls -- and that's both white and Black people.

It's just one in a long list of "schticks" that has lost its luster. It's riding shotgun with "Nazi, fascist, criminal, threat to democracy" and all the other b.s. that Libs somehow think will still pay the bills. Once they get past this (and just screaming f&$k! everyday) maybe they can move on to policy and start clawing to get some of their voters back.

I doubt it.

In order to make yourself feel better you would have to pretend that only black Democrats do that and it's just a coincidence he only pointed out three black Democrats. Reality seems to be escaping you.

Newsflash. Not all trump supporters are racists. But all racists are trump supporters. And you are on here making excuses for one of them.

And voters are tired of "Immigrants are taking our jobs!" too. The problems of white people have always been blamed on people of color. Once it was black people and now it's immigrants.

Claiming the education system and opportunities are the same across the board are what have become your ammunition causing both to continue being the casualties. And this administration has taken it even further backwards.

You have applauded all of it. Even now you are playing Stretch Armstrong to make excuses for an obviously racist remark.

I didn't say or pretend only Black democrats do that - neither did he. If I say "the Browns suck" it doesn't mean I think all other teams are good, nor does that imply that I think the Browns are the only team that sucks.

All the other bluster in that post is just a bunch of "blah, blah, blah".

You have a bizarre way of thinking you can paint fantasy as true any time you think it fits a narrative. That doesn't fit a narrative, you're creating one. And when you do it in the matter that you did above, it's nothing more than a troll tactic.

He chose to target three black democrats specifically. This isn't even a close call. At least I'm not using ignorance of the facts presented as my narrative. The only troll tactic being used here is yours. Sadly I think you know better than what you're posting here and don't even believe it yourself.

In Fantasy Land a person throwing a bomb at protesters is the fault of the protesters. Definitely not the fault of the jihadist yelling "Allahu Akbar". I hope the good people of NYC can survive this mess. What a joke.

Yeah that's what he said..............

"What followed was even more disturbing. Violence at a protest is never acceptable. The attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible and the antithesis of who we are."

You're hilarious!

It was the bombers that yelled "jihadist yelling "Allahu Akbar"....

There is like 5 articles on the subject... Pretty interesting stuff really.,

I don't see how Mamdani is in anyway responsible for this. Not sure what problem you have with him or even why. I don't think you live in NYC..,, so I'm not sure what MESS you are speaking of.

I also don't hear many NYC residents crying and screaming about him.

Some for sure, but that's to be expected with any politician. Of course, us posters on Dawgtalkers.net wouldn't know anything about that now would we?

It's just flat-out crazy that people constantly excuse, endorse, downplay and strawman this type of behavior. It's (by far imo) the number one reason people have abandoned the Democratic party and the loudmouths that constantly turn every event into a shameless shell game.

It's a amazing how people keep flying a false flag about Tweets that were sent out before any of the details about these two people were even known at the time.

That's how people in Minnesota were called "domestic terrorists" based on "What we knew at the time".

Some people try to be more responsible than that. And when they do you try to make it into them doing something wrong. Murica!

lol... taxing the rich... they move to Florida.

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/a...iness-leaders-moving-to-florida-2d14af75

So... Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Ken Griffin, Stephen Ross, Peter Thiel, Larry Ellison, and now Howard Schultz have/are in the process of moving to Florida.

That doesn't include the people who moved to Texas in the last 2 years. (Elon alone)

Companies that have moved out of NY/CA or in the process...

Public Storage, ExxonMobil, Yamaha, Palantir, SpaceX, X, Tesla, Chevron, Playboy, Oracle

That is a massive shift in state funds.

Why are some people on the internet as dumb as a box of rocks?

The perception that some people on the internet act "dumb as a box of rocks" is a well-documented phenomenon driven by a combination of psychological, social, and technological factors rather than an absolute decline in human intelligence. The internet, particularly social media, acts as a amplifier, making individual instances of ignorance or irrationality more visible, while anonymity and reduced social consequences allow people to behave in ways they would not in person.

Here is a breakdown of why this phenomenon occurs:

1. Psychological and Behavioral Factors

The Online Disinhibition Effect: When people are online, they often feel invisible, anonymous, and disconnected from the immediate social consequences of their actions (e.g., lack of eye contact, social cues). This causes them to abandon social restrictions and act in ways they normally wouldn't.

The Dunning-Kruger Effect: People with limited knowledge or competence in a particular domain tend to overestimate their abilities. The internet allows these individuals to voice their opinions, often with supreme confidence.

Confirmation Bias: People tend to seek out and believe information that confirms their pre-existing beliefs, creating echo chambers where false information is accepted without question.
Emotional Regulation: Social media often rewards, and thus promotes, emotional outbursts, anger, and moral outrage over nuanced, thoughtful discussion.

2. The Structure of the Internet

Visibility of Ignorance: Before social media, "stupid" opinions were limited to a small, private circle. Today, everyone has a "WiFi connection," making it easier to see and hear, but not necessarily producing more of it.

Algorithms and Echo Chambers: Algorithms are designed to boost engagement, and content that triggers outrage or intense emotion often travels faster and further than accurate, calm information.

Bot Activity: A significant percentage of online interactions are driven by automated bots designed to push specific agendas, manipulate opinions, or create artificial engagement, which can skew the perception of human intelligence.

3. Cognitive and Social Changes

Attention Span and Deep Thinking: The constant, fast-paced nature of digital media has been shown to reduce attention spans, encourage skimming over deep reading, and impair working memory.

Information Overload: The overwhelming amount of information makes it difficult for people to discern quality, leading some to rely on whatever they read first or what is shared most frequently.

Lack of Consequence: The feeling of being "hidden" behind a screen lowers inhibition, fostering "keyboard warriors" who may not be as aggressive or ignorant in face-to-face interactions.

In summary, the internet has simply created a platform where ignorance is more easily broadcast, amplified, and reinforced. It has not necessarily made people stupider, but it has made their capacity for "dumb" behavior more noticeable.

Because trump loves the uneducated and smart people don't like him? At least that's what he said.

So are you trying to explain why you are here?

Why do people want to interject "Trump" into every argument even when he has nothing to do with the subject being discussed?

It's a phenomenon that's hard to miss. At this point, it's almost like a universal "internet tax". Whether the topic is a recipe for lasagna or a new space discovery, someone eventually pivots to Donald Trump.

Psychologically and socially, there are a few reasons why this "common denominator" persists:

Political Hobbyism: Many people now treat politics like a high-stakes sport or a hobby. According to research by Eitan Hersh, "political hobbyists" consume news for emotional or intellectual gratification rather than to achieve concrete goals. For these users, interjecting his name is a way to feel "engaged" or to get a quick hit of tribal validation.

Identity as Politics: For a significant number of internet users, their political stance has become their entire identity. When your worldview is centered on a single figure—whether you adore or despise them—every subject starts to look like a nail that needs a "Trump hammer."

Outrage as Currency: Social media algorithms prioritize content that triggers "moral outrage"—a mix of anger and disgust. Mentioning a polarizing figure is a guaranteed way to drive engagement, as it forces others to either defend their "side" or attack the "opposition".

Conversational Punting: Sometimes, people bring him up because they don't actually have anything to contribute to the actual topic. Pivoting to a massive, pre-packaged debate is easier than learning about the specific nuances of, say, interest rates or marine biology.

Costly Signaling: By saying something extreme about a polarizing figure in an unrelated thread, a person is signaling their loyalty to their own group. They are essentially saying, "I am so committed to our cause that I'll bring it up anywhere".

An easy explanation is trump said he loves the uneducated and smart people don't like him. That helps explain a lot of it.

Or are you trying to explain why you're here?

Haha....so true. But there has to be a behavioral health component in there for some as well. Might want to ask again with this particular focus.

I like the way you think. 👊 This actually helped explain a lot.

How would you rate or explain a person's behavioral health when they constantly react in such a manner?

While constant interjection of a political figure like Donald Trump isn't a formal medical diagnosis, psychologists and mental health experts suggest it is often a sign of poor emotional and cognitive health. As of 2026, research increasingly links this behavior to chronic stress and clinical-level anxiety.

Experts explain this behavior through several lenses:

1. Clinical Patterns: "Obsessive Political Preoccupation"
Clinicians have observed patients across the political spectrum who bring up Trump not to discuss policy, but as a focal point for obsession, rage, and dread.

Obsessive-Compulsive Presentation: The behavior often mirrors OCD, characterized by persistent intrusive thoughts, compulsive news monitoring, and an inability to stop thinking about the figure even when attempting to focus on other topics.

Emotional Dysregulation: Constantly pivoting to a polarizing figure is frequently a sign of an inability to manage internal stress. The person externalizes their anxiety or anger to gain a brief sense of control.

2. The Impact of Chronic Political Stress

Large-scale surveys, including the American Psychological Association's (APA) 2024 and 2025 "Stress in America" reports, show that politics has become a chronic health stressor:

Physical Symptoms: High levels of political stress are linked to insomnia, fatigue, and even cardiovascular strain due to elevated cortisol.
Social Isolation: Roughly one in three Americans report that the political climate has strained family relationships, often because every conversation inevitably turns to a political headline.

3. Cognitive and Behavioral Health Signs

Catastrophic Thinking: Those who pivot every topic to Trump often suffer from a "catastrophic" thinking style, viewing every event as an existential threat to democracy or their personal safety.

Identity Fusion: For some, their political stance has become their entire identity. When this happens, a non-political conversation feels irrelevant or even threatening to their sense of self, triggering an "automatic reflex" to pivot back to their primary obsession.

Loss of Nuance: Frequent interjectors often exhibit "black-and-white" thinking, losing the ability to distinguish between a legitimate unrelated topic and their political worldview.

In short, experts often rate this as a state of functional impairment where a person's "mental bandwidth" is so consumed by a single figure that it leaks into their work, sleep, and relationships, ultimately eroding their professional and personal well-being.

I wonder how CNN will frame this? I'll help. Former National Guardsman's sunny day changes drastically when he reached Jewish University.

Honestly, there is no one else except you and and rarely a few others who reply in the political forum anymore that are center or republican.

I think everyone else has realized that there is no point.... except to occasionally get a rise out of the crazy liberal logic.

You can say that again!

I'm not sure what you don't understand.

The post was about Mamadani's reaction to the two little terrorists.

Mamdani is a democrat (although many say communist).

Do you think everyone in the story should be a democrat?

I really, really, really, really, really, don't understand what could be so confusing.

Do you want me to start all over with the original post and tear it apart sentence by sentence?

Biden wasn't president in 2016. rolleyes

Here's how they "framed it".

Terror suspect in deadly Old Dominion shooting in Virginia was subdued by students, officials say

When a convicted ISIS supporter stepped into an ROTC classroom at Old Dominion University on Thursday and opened fire, the group of students inside barely hesitated before leaping up to subdue their attacker.

So did he serve his term as sentenced or did Biden commute his sentence or did Biden's adminstration somehow introduce guidelines for releasing prisoners early? I honestly don't know the answers here. Most prisoners get out early. . . . That alone doesn't make Biden culpable. Was there something else?

First of all, there is no need to start over. This thread isn't really worth enough to do that.

Considering you can't accept that it's about Dems, what would be the point.

I think you need to get something defined for yourself... Communist!

He was released under Biden, [censored].

Mohamed Bailor Jalloh was released early from federal prison due to completing a drug treatment program. notallthere
He had been sentenced to 11 years in 2017 for attempting to provide material support to ISIS but was let out on December 23, 2024, after serving about 7-8 years.
This program typically allows up to a year off sentences, though it's unusual for terrorism convicts, and details on his qualification remain unclear.

You people forget how this works.

A judge holds a trial. A jury reaches its verdict based on the evidence presented. The judge hands out the sentence. A parole board decides when and if a prisoner is released.

At no point in time does the president have anything to do with any of that.

Yes, sad.

You posted some AI induced rhetoric about why people bring trump up in situations that have nothing to do with trump. Yet here you are. More proof that every accusation you make ends up being a confession.

The available reporting points to bureaucratic and policy failures inside the Bureau of Prisons (BOP), not to a specific, deliberate early‑release policy choice by the Biden White House, although the administration is ultimately responsible for overseeing DOJ and BOP.

So, sorta like Sleepy had nothing to do with the border disaster while you made up excuses and screamed "Conggrrrresss!" Yet it was ended the day Trump took office.

According to the BOP, talks to end the loophole that lets terrorists out early "stalled" during the Biden era.

But don't worry, the loophole that lets terrorists out early has been ended. Again, as soon as Trump took office, in March 2025.

Which is odd because at 1:58 in that video he specifically says they were no where close to having a weapon, he then references Trump announcing a few months ago how all the enriched uranium was obliterated - I don't think the conversation reflects the opinion of the headline that the Rando splashed on his post to get clicks.

No-one wants to see Iran get their hands on nuclear weapons, dirty or otherwise. The capacity of their ICBM does not impact that. I guess we'll see where this all ends up - but the "15 point plan" that I have heard discussed appears to echo a lot of the Obama agreement that was in place and working and Trump tore up.

That's the rump motto. "I broke it because Obama or Biden fixed it. Now i have to fix what I broke and if I can I'll brag about how I fixed it."

Sort of like how he broke the strait of Hormuz and is made at everyone else because they won't fix it for him.

Are the Democrats doing a good job in opposition ? No .... Dismissing every criticism of the well deserved Trump criticism as TDS = weak sauce.

As ever - if he's guilty I hope he faces the full weight of the law and is prosecuted and convicted. Not sure why he's considered a traitor for sexual misconduct.

Shame that wanting all politicians to pay for their illegal activities isn't common across all parties and all politicians. I mean we've got the Trump administration actively delaying the release of the Epstein files the most high profile sexual monster in recent history, together with Ghislaine Maxwell his chief partner in crime now in a minimum security prison - and It's a non story for some.

It's tempting to see this and complain about consistency across the political spectrum, but at the end of the day any time you can take out the trash it's a good thing.

It is. If he is guilty he should pay the price for it. Injecting propaganda that this somehow makes him a traitor seems to be the game they play these days however. I think that's why they like using rando's from X so much instead of actual news sources.

Let's not forget that Swalwell is facing allegations from staffers and he deserves the right to face the process of investigation and the right to plead his case and defend himself in a court of law..if he broke any laws.

I'm a bit concerned about the timing of the alleged conduct that is said to have occurred years ago. Swalwell deserves a trial and to be judged by a jury or judge.

If the allegations are judged to be true, Swalwell should be subjected to punishment according to the law. But if he is judged not guilty, so be it.

I have to hear the facts of the case before I judge anyone guilty...jmho

LMAO - McCarthy is definitely a stand up guy who would never shill for anyone. Let's actually wait and see. . . like I said - if he's actually guilty of something (bearing in mind how corrupt this DOJ has been in going after political adversaries) then prosecute him to the fullest.

Exclusive: Four women describe sexual misconduct by Rep. Eric Swalwell, including a former staffer who says he raped her

https://www.cnn.com/2026/04/10/us/eric-swalwell-sexual-misconduct-allegations-invs

House lawmakers, on both sides of the aisle, call on Swalwell, Gonzales to resign amid misconduct allegations

https://thehill.com/homenews/house/5827785-donalds-swalwell-gonzales-house-expulsion/

House Democrats call on Eric Swalwell to drop out of California governor race amid sexual assault allegations

Eric Swalwell quits California governor race amid sexual misconduct claims

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c74vwdpj7kdo

None of this is difficult. When you have four women accusing you a pattern has developed. When it's a he said she said the water is a little more murky. But when it becomes a he said she said, she said, she said and she said it's time to get him out of there. Remove them both and move on.

This should not be a partisan issue. This is a sexual abuse issue and no side is absolved from such actions.

And while they're at it 28 women have publicly accused Donald Trump of various forms of sexual misconduct, ranging from sexual assault and harassment to unwelcome kissing and groping, dating back to the 1970s.

I think this would be a more effective 'gotcha' if at least half of Congress didn't have similar skeletons in their closet. Let's face it, the only difference between Swalwell and a significant portion of politicians on both sides of the aisle is that his misdeeds are getting airtime.

Democrat Eric Swalwell and Republican Tony Gonzales Resign from Congress amid Sexual Misconduct Scandals

Both politicians shared news of their resignations on social media on Monday, April 13

Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales are resigning from Congress amid sexual misconduct accusations

Swalwell, a Democrat who represented the state of California, has been publicly accused of misconduct by at least four women, which he has vehemently denied

Gonzales had previously decided not to run for reelection amid criticism over his relationship with former staffer Regina Santos-Aviles, who died by suicide in 2025

I heard (pre announcement) that Gonzales wasn't going to resign but actually retire.

1, Do we know if he retired or resigned?

2, Do we know the implications or retiring instead of resigning?
I am interested even if he did resign

??? Consensual Suicide ??? Really... the person killed herself by "self immolation" which is lighting yourself on fire!

from wikipedia

"In 2026, Gonzales initially ran for re-election. He faced and denied allegations of a sexual affair with a staffer who had later killed herself by self-immolation.[12] After failing to secure more than 50% of the vote in the primary on March 3, he was set to face Brandon Herrera in a runoff scheduled for May 2026. On March 4, Gonzales admitted to the affair,[13] dropping his re-election campaign amid pressure from party leadership the following day.[14] On April 13, 2026, he announced he would resign.[15][16]"

That's who he is. It's been covered on every news outlet I've seen. But hey, making a joke out of rape is all the rage in trumplandia these days. When they elect a man that's been accused of sexual misconduct by 28 women what else can you expect from them? All they have in response is just crazy BS like that. Even a jury found trump to be libel of sexual assault. But hey, in their world that makes him eligible to be the leader of our country. Freedumb! Murica!

Next, why don't you get trump out of office.. Pretty clear he did the same thing... Even got convicted for it.

I didn't write nonsense; I asked a simple question. Lefty networks are very choosy about what they report. I'm genuinely curious because this seems like a well-orchestrated coup by the Demons in charge. Swalli was obviously overstepping his boundaries and quest for power. Nancy said "no-no" (just my opinion) and they had this dude primed for prison time in three days flat. Talk about Epic Fury!

Ok. I'll take you at your word.

For someone genuinely curious, the answer took about 12 seconds. A little longer than it took you to write the additional sentence at the end of your post.

Putting all that aside. Assuming the accusations are true, and there is no reason I see to doubt them, I hope Swalwell roasts in hell for eternity after serving the maximum punishment possible.

Again, seek help. You seldom know what you're even talking about. Gonzo was in a consensual relationship. That will never be "rape". Rape is what you do with our allotted server space here. You rape it with some of the dumbest comments I've ever seen on the internet.

And Trump didn't rape anyone either; nor get "convicted for it".

Actually, that's simply not true. "Lefty" networks as you call them report the exact same stuff... The difference is the "Righty" networks tell you want to think of things that report.... The main stream media reports what's happened or what is said, then they leave it to you to decide what it's about and what it means.,

But I get why you don't like the Main Stream or "Lefty Media,.... None of them are kissing trumps Butt....

I would just ignore my posts then. I asked a question because this is a discussion forum. Essentially, you're saying "shut up and Google it for yourself". So, honestly, don't even reply to my posts, that will take you zero seconds.

Your networks report almost nothing on illegals killing US citizens.

The right tells me what to think, but the left does not? That's criminally stupid, although I'm not surprised.

Sheridan Gorman, a Loyola University Chicago student, was allegedly killed by Jose Medina, described in the cited report as an illegal immigrant from Venezuela; the same report says ABC, CBS, and NBC gave it only brief airtime, with CBS at about two minutes, ABC at 79 seconds, and NBC at 23 seconds.

Stephanie Minter, 41, was reportedly stabbed to death near Mount Vernon, Virginia, and the cited report says the alleged killer, Abdul Jalloh, was an illegal immigrant with more than 30 arrests; it also says ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and NPR were searched without finding coverage.

Rachel Morin, a Maryland mother, was killed by an undocumented migrant, and the cited coverage-analysis reports say the network news mention was only 12 seconds across the big three, compared with much heavier coverage of the Kilmar Abrego Garcia deportation case.

DaCara Thompson, a 19-year-old Black woman in Maryland, was allegedly murdered by Hugo Hernandez-Mendez, described in the cited report as an illegal immigrant; that report says the story got zero network coverage.

Laken Riley was killed by an undocumented immigrant, and the cited report says major networks largely skipped or minimized the story while it became a major political issue elsewhere.

Jocelyn Nungaray’s killing was also referenced in the cited coverage critique as a case that received far less network attention than other immigration stories.

The "joke" centered around a story about rape. It was the central topic. And you knew the answer to the question before you asked it. You're not fooling anyone. You are loving proof that every accusation people like you make is a confession. You're here playing the troll while accusing me of it.

The only one playing the part of an idiot here is you.

Not enough DNA, 'Peen. You know how it goes, if you can't prove it beyond a bloody glove there is absolutely no way, no how it can possibly be true. They all looked the other way then and Pelosi still crowned him. No one here had a word to say except to call you a conspiracy theorist.

Besides, we couldn't worry about China then, it was all "Russia, Russia, Russia!"

Based on Axios reporting and intelligence officials, Christine Fang (Fang Fang) was a suspected Chinese intelligence operative who, between 2011 and 2015, cultivated close relationships with California politicians, including Congressman Eric Swalwell, as part of an influence operation. She was never criminally charged and left the U.S. in 2015.

Key Details Regarding the Case:
Targeting Politicians: Fang targeted up-and-coming California politicians, including Rep. Eric Swalwell and local Bay Area officials.
Activities: She helped fundraise for Swalwell's 2014 campaign and assisted in placing an intern in his office.
FBI Intervention: The FBI briefed Rep. Swalwell in 2015 about their concerns, after which he severed all contact with her.
Conclusion of Investigations: The House Ethics Committee concluded an investigation in 2023 with no action taken against Swalwell.
Recent Developments: In early 2026, controversy revived regarding a potential release of old FBI files on the relationship, which Swalwell's legal team contested.

Fang was considered part of a "honey trap" or influence operation managed by China's Ministry of State Security.

Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax and his wife are dead in murder-suicide, police say

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (AP) — Virginia's former Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, who was a rising star in the Democratic party several years ago before his career was derailed by sexual assault allegations, fatally shot his wife before killing himself, police said Thursday.

Both were found dead at their northern Virginia home in Annandale after the couple's teenage son called 911 shortly after midnight Thursday, said Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis.

The couple was going through a divorce, and Fairfax was served recently with paperwork that indicated when he was next to appear in court, Davis said.

"That may have been a spark," the chief said. "Detectives will figure out if that led to this tragedy here."

For a brief period in 2019, Fairfax had seemed poised to become Virginia governor as Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam became engulfed in a scandal over a racist photo on his medical school yearbook that led to calls for Northam's resignation.

But then two women came forward, accusing Fairfax of sexually assaulting them years earlier. He adamantly denied the allegations.

Vanessa Tyson said Fairfax — at the time a Columbia Law School student serving as an aide to Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards — forced her to perform oral sex in his hotel room during the Democratic National Convention in Boston in 2004. Two days after Tyson's statement, Meredith Watson issued her own, accusing Fairfax of raping her in 2000, when they were students at Duke University.

The Associated Press generally does not name people who say they are victims of sexual assault, but both women came forward publicly. Fairfax said the encounters were consensual and refused calls to resign.

"It's very sad for this community," Davis said. "A lot of people who know the Fairfax family, everybody's shocked. We're shocked."

In TDSbraindeadutupia it's perfectly acceptable to make jokes about someone murdering his wife and killing himself.

Strange set of contrasting rules and fodder for outrage around these parts.

Fang Fang came to the USA as a thirty-year-old college enrollee and flew all over the country banging politicians. As soon as an FBI investigation started, she was gonzo.

Christine Fang, also known as Fang Fang, was a Chinese spy who formed relationships with up-and-coming US politicians between 2011 and 2015.

Christine arrived from China in 2011 to study at California State University East Bay, where she became president of both the Chinese Student Association and the campus chapter of Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs. She appeared older than most other CSU students and spent much of her time at networking events in the Bay Area and elsewhere.

In October 2012 she was photographed at an event with Eric Swalwell, who at the time was a city councilmember in Dublin City, CA, and running as a Democratic candidate for the US House of Representatives. After he was elected, Swalwell joined the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in January 2015 and was the lead Democrat representative on the subcommittee for oversight of the CIA. Christine was closely linked to his campaign, bringing in donors and recommending at least one intern who worked in his office.

She was also photographed with Fremont Mayor Bill Harrison (picture 3), US Representative Judy Chu (picture 4), US Representative Mike Honda and San Jose City Councilmember Ash Kalra (picture 5), and others. In 2011 she was seen with a Chinese consular official and Russell Lowe, the office director for Senator Dianne Feinstein. Lowe was later revealed to be a Chinese intelligence agent as well (picture 6).

Christine also had romantic or sexual relationships with two mayors from midwestern cities, cultivating contacts around the country according to reporting by Zach Dorfman for Axios.

In March 2024, Chinese journalist Hu Xijin posted a photo on Twitter of himself at lunch with Christine Fang in Beijing (picture 7). As a retired but still influential state media figure, Hu often acts as a bridge for the Chinese government’s official stance. By showing Fang living a normal life in Beijing, he aimed to signal that she was protected by the state and to mock the U.S. investigation as a failure.

The pride/trans/woke community seems to be becoming super-famous in the child sex and mass shooting arenas.

I think we can alleviate a lot of the issue by letting woke teachers help them to explore their optional genders in kindergarten.

No, I can't. You know why? I have no DNA evidence. That's your criteria of proof on everything you want to argue about.

Ironically, when you want to argue for your own cause you'll frequently site things like "common sense" or call others gullible. We could all watch a car crash, live, and you would argue that it's possible it was an illusion or we are all experiencing mass hypnosis. I actually think it may have a mental disorder. Have you ever been screened?

To be blunt; if you don't think they were having a relationship you are literally dumb as a box of rocks.

DNA? You haven't even shown so much as a shred of evidence. None, zilch, nada. Then claim someone else is dumb as a box of rocks because they don't believe a baseless accusation?

As I said earlier, every accusation you make is a confession. You just confessed.

Please explain what "common sense" you are using to arrive at your conclusion. Don't worry I'll wait......

Try taking some medication for that.

With all of your bluster and trump like rambling you still have nothing. Just a bag of noise.

You are full of it.. They exaggerate those stats.. Fox and Newmax and others lie to you by talking about folks like Sheriday Gorman, truly sad but no typical

Near as I can tell, they do this to garner favor with Trump and his supporters....

Here...

There is no definitive, comprehensive national database tracking the total number of Americans killed by undocumented immigrants, making an exact figure unavailable. While specific, high-profile cases exist, studies often show that undocumented immigrants are less likely to commit violent crimes, including homicide, compared to native-born Americans, according to reports from the Cato Institute and American Immigration Council.
Key Data Points and Context:

Texas Data (2013-2022): A Cato Institute analysis of Texas data found that the homicide conviction rate for illegal immigrants was lower than that of native-born Americans. In 2022, there were 67 homicide convictions for illegal immigrants in Texas, compared to 1,209 for native-born citizens.
Homicide Rates: A study looking at 2012-2018 data found the arrest rate for homicide was 1.9 per 100,000 for undocumented immigrants, compared to 4.8 per 100,000 for U.S.-born citizens.
Debunked Claims: Claims that tens of thousands of Americans are murdered annually by illegal immigrants are often described as unsupported by research, says a Politifact fact-check.
Victim Support: The federal government operates the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office to assist families of those killed by individuals in the country illegally.

While instances of homicide by undocumented immigrants occur, empirical data suggests they are not disproportionately represented in such crimes, according to a report by Policing Institute.

https://www.google.com/search?clien...US+citizens+are+killed+by+Illegal+Aliens

There is plenty of other data out there. If you don't like my source, Get up off your butt and look for it.

Main Stream media like NBC and ABC don't cater to Trump and his loyalists... CBS used to be that way until they were taken over by a Trump financier and I think the Big Daddy to JD Vance.

I can't believe you fell for this crap... AMAZING

It is BY FAR, more likely that a citizen kills more than a Alien.... BY A HUGE MARGIN....

Only that's not what it does..................

Assembly Bill 2624, authored by Assemblymember Mia Bonta, D-Oakland, would exempt records that include an employee’s name, address, employment history and other identifiable information from public records law to avoid those employees being doxxed or harassed, according to a legislative analysis.

There is no depth to your single-minded absurdity. I don't you know if you know this, but there hasn't been a bill that addressed a single issue since George Washington was in diapers. I mean, the Inflation Reduction Act allocated $8 billion for cow fart studies.

And since it's all so very entertaining for us, I'll reframe your crazy response above as an equally ridiculous argument.

FATE: "I love microwaves, they heat things up in a jiffy!"
Pitty: "Only that's not what they do.................. they drive up your electric bill!"

See how that works? Both things can be true. Only problem is you said my statement was false.

That's troll tactic #4329

This bill 100% could allow organizations receiving millions in taxpayer dollars to hide from scrutiny by labeling any critical filming as "harassment".

If the "reporter" doesn't take down the post, they can be fined $10,000.

And the sad irony of your ICE statement points to the rampant disfunction with you lefties... ICE should take their masks off so they can be doxxed and their families assaulted, but criminals should have new laws passed to give them every possible shred of immunity. You know, punish the ones enforcing the law, reward the ones that shred it.

Cow farts

Methane contributes to climate change, and by some estimates, cattle are the No. 1 agricultural source of greenhouse gases worldwide. (Technically, methane comes mostly from cow burps, not farts.) As a result, environmentalists have sought to curb its atmospheric release.

The only provision of the legislation that specifically addresses "enteric methane emissions from ruminants" comes under the heading of agricultural conservation. The legislation allocates almost $8.5 billion for all types of conservation over four years, with the agriculture secretary "prioritizing proposals that utilize diet and feed management to reduce enteric methane emissions from ruminants."

In all likelihood, cattle-related projects would account for a small fraction of that $8.5 billion.

https://www.politifact.com/factchec...flation-reduction-act-goes-toward-trees/

You do realize that "could allow" doesn't mean that it does or will. That's nothing more than a fear tactic. GOP troll tactic #6521

Here is what would have to be contained in any post or video that would result in a fine as per the actual bill......

Assembly Bill 2624, authored by Assemblymember Mia Bonta, D-Oakland, would exempt records that include an employee’s name, address, employment history and other identifiable information from public records law to avoid those employees being doxxed or harassed, according to a legislative analysis.

You "could" claim it would do more but there's once again no evidence to support that. It could start raining money where you live tomorrow but it won't.

So you support protecting ICE but oppose protecting people in our government from nothing more than accusations from some of these wanna be hit prices from Youtubers and X whackos? Nothing in this bill would prevent anyone from reporting their findings to the proper authorities for investigation. They would be free to report it to the FBI or the DOJ without any fear of penalty. In case you missed it, which you obviously have, accusations by some amateur sleuth does not make someone a criminal.

Famously "The law is an ass" - rules that are intended to protect can be interpreted as restrictions, laws to protect the majority can be presented as alienating the minorities, Laws that protect the minorities can be seen as pandering. Whether it's claiming $8B was budgeted for researching cow farts or abortion laws where people claim the law is intended for live babies to be aborted - there is much massaging of the facts to present a headline and a 'gotcha'. Details matter.

I am kinda surprised that by now, no one has yet to develop a way to harness all that methane and turn it into a viable fuel source

We have. There are:

manure capturing systems
barn canopy collection systems
wearable backpacks
methane-capturing masks
manure digesters

We also have methods to reduce methane:

seaweed food additives
gene-splicing techniques
breeding techniques

Not much left to study, eh?

If we cared to make proper use of 8B we'd have credits for smaller farms to adopt methods, and we could probably fund it by fining larger farms who don't.

But you know DC, cry about how the world is ending and tell us the solution is studying how.

Notable Large Farms Capturing Methane

Fair Oaks Farms

One of the most famous examples, this operation uses a central digester system to capture methane from 36,000 cows across nine dairies. The captured gas is purified into RNG to power a fleet of 42 milk-delivery trucks, displacing approximately 1.5 million gallons of diesel annually.

Riverview, LLP

This massive agribusiness operates multiple dairies. Its West River Dairy (over 7,800 cows) uses digesters to generate 3.6 megawatts of electricity, sold to the grid as premium renewable energy. They are also expanding into pipeline-quality RNG projects across their other facilities.

Bar 20 Dairy Farms

Located in Kerman, CA, this 7,000-cow operation uses advanced fuel cell technology to convert captured methane into renewable electricity. This system is highly efficient, providing enough power to run the farm and export a surplus—equivalent to what 48 acres of solar panels would produce—but available 24/7.

Goodrich Farm

This isn't a single farm but a 16-unit anaerobic digester facility that processes manure from 11 different area dairy farmers, demonstrating how smaller large-scale farms can pool resources to make methane capture viable.

I certainly didn't miss the context and the way you were promoting the idea.

You sound like Bernie promoting we help the poor while punishing the rich. Reward those who can't afford to limit methane so they can afford it by punishing the rich who can afford to do so but won't.

I'll take that as at least some progress.

Nope. I'm saying if you have to spend 8B it would be better to use as an incentive for farmers for ideas that have already come to the finish line then to spend it on some study panel to "get some more stuff thunk up".

Wait, I'll try a different approach... I am in favor of NEITHER, does that make this easier to understand?

It's odd you are backtracking now but I would expect no less. It was perfectly clear what you stated and what that means.

If we cared to make proper use of 8B

Nowhere does it indicate "if you have to" or "if you must".

It is clearly describing what you feel is the proper way it should be spent. You are describing how you think that money should properly be spent with no other indication given.

You're going to need a larger shovel.

I can't argue against that.

I'll be honest, probably 75% of my arguments on "climate" are more about timing and mandates though. This one's no different. 1 in 6 farms with over 500 head are doing this. That's a great start, and a great place to stay slow and steady.

Now I don't mean sloooww, I mean judge results, refine tech, realize the breakthroughs that only occur through practice and not a computer model. One of those farms above found out adding their creamery waste added dramatically to methane output. It was rocket fuel for the bacteria and produced massive spikes in methane. Others have learned things that have led to breakthroughs in fertilizers.

As the big boys learn the lessons and improve the tech, the little guys become more apt to look with raised eyebrows. That's when you start to experience innovation that reduces the price of the tech because manufacturers start competing for business.

The alternative - where government pushes mandate after mandate, and farms only comply because they have to, means they all implement the most cost-effective (upfront) system to comply and not really give a crap about impact. It also strings the farmer up by the balls because he has no choice but to pay whatever the tech costs.

Make no mistake though. This is heavily subsidized. None of these things above present any real kind of break-even point. Not saying that's a bad thing, we just have to stay the course and let all the good breakthroughs keep happening, as they always do, at their own pace.

There's a difference in understanding it and believing it. When a person says one thing in one breath and a different thing in the next breath it's gets to the point it becomes like listening to a trump press conference. You never know what to believe.

I completely agree with you here, with the only caveat that many times when you want things to play out this way, there has to be incentives involved to keep the momentum going.

Ah, now I'm lying.

Well, after trying to explain to you 18 times that I'm generally not in favor of "socialism for farmers" (as you call it), we can move on... since you think I'm lying.

Next time just call me a liar. It would be a lot easier than all this back and forth.

You ain't just whistlin' dixie! (disclaimer: I'm not accusing you of actually whistling)

I've spent two days trying to explain the meaning of the word IF!

Please explain the nuances on how the word "if" may work when using it in a sentence paragraph or conversation...

While "if" is primarily known for setting conditions, its nuances in everyday conversation and writing range from polite interruptions to expressing certainty or even admitting facts.

1. The Core Conditional (Real vs. Unreal)
The most common use of "if" is to link a condition to a result. The nuance changes depending on how realistic the situation is:

Likely Situations: "If it rains, we will stay home." This implies the event is a real possibility.
Unlikely/Imaginary Situations: "If I won the lottery, I would buy a house." Using the past tense ("won") signals that the situation is currently unreal or improbable.
Past Regrets: "If I had studied harder, I would have passed." This imagines a different past that is now impossible.

2. Conversational Politeness and "Speech Act" Conditionals
In conversation, "if" often functions as a social softener or a way to offer information without making assumptions:

Polite Interruption: "If I could just make a small point..." This acts as a respectful way to enter a conversation.
The "Speech Act" Nuance: "I have lemonade if you want some." Logically, the lemonade exists whether you want it or not. Here, "if" conditions the relevance of the statement, not its truth. It’s a shorthand for "I’m telling you this in case it’s useful to you".

Polite Requests: "I wonder if you'd be kind enough to help?" This softens a direct request into a more tentative inquiry.

3. "If" vs. "Whether" (Indirect Questions)
When "if" is used to report a "yes/no" question, it can often be replaced by "whether":

Interchangeable: "He asked if I was coming" means the same as "He asked whether I was coming".
Nuance of Choice: "Whether" is often preferred in formal writing or when emphasizing two distinct alternatives (e.g., "I don't know whether to stay or go").

4. Rhetorical and Emphatic Uses
"If" can also be used to emphasize a point or admit a minor fact:

Concession: "It was a successful, if exhausting, day." Here, "if" means "even though" or "although," admitting a secondary fact that doesn't change the main point.
Surprise/Annoyance: "Well, if that isn’t the most ridiculous thing!" This uses "if" to introduce an exclamation rather than a condition.
"If Anything": Used to suggest the opposite of what was just said is actually true. "It hasn't been a bad year; if anything, it's been our best yet".

5. "If" vs. "When"
A subtle but critical nuance is the shift in certainty. Using "if" introduces doubt, while "when" implies the event is guaranteed to happen:

"If I get a promotion..." (It might not happen).
"When I get a promotion..." (I am certain it will happen).

Let me know if when you still need help!

The "if" you use was in reference to "If we cared to make proper use of 8B." It must be context you're having an issue with.

Not if we should have 8B. Not if it should be done away with. It was used in the context of the way the money should be used properly. Your lame azz crap isn't working for anyone who made it past the fourth grade. rolleyes

No it's not. Context is an easy concept. Yet you still don't get it.

You didn't say anything about "if you have to spend 8 billion dollars."

Once again, here is your direct quote.............

You know what. This is way over your head. Besides that, it doesn't matter that I've clarified exactly what I meant for, now, the third day. You've gone from ignoring intent to telling me I was lying and really want socialism for farmers and now, back to the beginning.

I'll do this one last time, so you can cry about it yet again.

Spending 8B to study cow farts... Baaaaaad.

Spending that same 8B, if you're in a rush to spend 8B, on helping small farms adopt methane capturing/prevention systems... Better.

But... in your world. I lied and am WRONG.

And you are RIGHT. Because you are always RIGHT. Yes, even when telling other humans how they really feel or what they really meant.

And since this section is really yours, and yours alone, to repent, I'll include "FATE loves socialism for farmers!" in all of my posts the rest of the day.

Now, go tell your wife and dog you've won another argument on DT today so you can get your gold star!

Edit: FATE loves socialism for farmers!

Yet I have already shown you that is a total lie. You may have simply been mistaken the first time but after me showing you that it's a lie? Now it's intentional.................

That's your imagination. I understand that you have your fantasies but I will not be fulfilling that one for you. A little testy this morning aren't you?

This is how you always act when the evidence shows you are wrong. You have one of two M.O's. You either ignore the things you have no way to defend or you lash out by attacking the one who provided the evidence. I'm pretty sure they make medication for that. tsktsk

You say a lot of things. Try reminding yourself that I don't take orders from you. And that whole "humping your leg" thing? Like I said, I won't be fulfilling any of your sexual fantasies and I don't really take me being a part of them in a positive light. This is how you act when the evidence proves you are wrong. Ignore it and attack the messenger. How trumpian of you.

Just wondering out loud here. If spending money on cow fart capturing assistance for farmers is better than spending on research .... I wonder if the scope of the study actually includes research into the best and most efficient way to capture cow farts? Because who else is going to do it? Industry drives innovation ... but there is no great demand for cow fart capturing services/devices. Spending money helping farmers capture cow farts inefficiently or ineffectively helps no-one in the long run.

Just an idle thought reading the back and forth. Bottom line is I would bet that a miniscule fraction of the budget was anything related to cow farts. But it sure does make a nice headline.

Sure. It's all the Dems.

The right wing racists that follow Trump, the claims that Dems are un-American/communist, the killing of US citizens by ICE without any accountability, telling violent mobs to fight for your country or you won't have one and the subsequent attack on the peaceful transfer of power .... that isn't any part of the great divide.
David DePape.
The plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer
The lies about a paedophile ring led by the Clintons out of a pizza restaurant.
The killing of Melissa Hortman.
The arson attack on Josh Shapiro.
Gabby Gifford being shot.
Multiple plots to assassinate Obama to prevent his election.

All those things are NORMAL. It's just a Democrat problem. thumbsup
