As long as it's free and you have more places to attain the I.D. with transportation provided as needed to get there.

Placing a financial barrier in the way of voting is a poll tax and making it hard for people with no transportation to get such an ID is placing obstacles in the way of legal voters having an opportunity to vote.

You know, like they did by closing 1 out of 5 voting locations across the country....................

Protecting Your Vote: 1 in 5 Election Day polling places have closed over last decade

Closures accelerated after SCOTUS rolled back the Voting Rights Act in 2013.

And if you care enough to look you'll see where most of that is concentrated.

I'm all for only American citizens voting in national elections. But as of yet that is not a problem. What I don't want to see is obtaining such an I.D used as yet another obstacle to make it even harder for Americans to vote.

Good God man, you are always on this affordability deal. I don't know, maybe you don't have a dime to your name.

If people want an ID, they can get an ID at a nominal price. Just stop. I think some places will even give them to you. You don't even have to do it at one time. You basically have 2 years between elections. Four years between National elections. Get your birth certificate one year. Get your state ID 2 years later.

Just give that up dude. Do you have an ID or are you one who can't afford $40 over 4 years?

All of this [censored] because Trump wants to cheat....

Show me where there is Voter Fraud that ACTUALLY had an effect on the outcome.....Good luck with that... 60+ Court cases,,,, All lost. Lots of lies and misleading statements from Republicans that don't track...NO PROOF of wrong doing.

Show me!

Isn't that a State Problem to solve? Why does trump wanna take over the elections? Only one reason, to make sure it favors him and the Republicans.....That's it. Because there really isn't a REAL problem.. It's all in his head...

States do run their own elections. In a perfect world that is how it should work, as spelled out.

I don't see how showing an ID to vote is such an imposition. I am not saying this to be snarky to you but why don't you just take your ID, cut it up and throw it out?

The answer is you are a responsible citizen and know you go many places where you need to show ID from time to time. Heck, here I have to show ID every time I go into a grocery store to buy a 6 pack of beer or box of wine. Go to a new DR appointment, yep. Open an account at a bank, yep. The list goes on.

We won't even talk about the multiple times the police have pulled you over for the various infraction you had or were suspected of committing. LOL...just kidding, but you get the point.

Same as it ever was.....

Carry on.

I screwed up?? What in the world did I screw up?

Dude, you are literally off your rocker. How old are you now? Might want to check on some Alzheimer's treatment or something. You don't make sense for more than a few posts in a row and it seems like there are voices in your head. [censored] off. 🤣

You addressed a post to me. When I responded you threw another one of your silly tantrums saying it wasn't addressed to me and acting like that was my fault. Man up for once for God's sake.

I actually think you've lost the ability to do that.

Your personal BS makes you look like a child. notallthere

The difference between us seems mainly to focus on the fact I'm not just thinking about "me and people like me". That seems to be a you issue.

I CAN AFFORD it. I DO have transportation to get one. Just give it up dude. You only care about people who can.

You see, there's also the issue of "no poll tax" to vote. You can't add or assign a financial fee be required for people to qualify to vote. Adding a requirement you pay for an ID to vote in order to vote would be doing exactly that.

Stop making excuses for making it harder for the poor to vote. Stop advocating people have to pay money to vote. None of that sounds very American.

We've already witnessed how so many polling places in poor rural areas have closed requiring these people have to find a way to travel further to vote. We've seen polling places closed in minority urban neighborhoods forcing people to stand in lines for hours upon hours.

And guess what? I care about that too while I live in a suburban, mainly white area that takes me less than five minutes to get to my polling location and only up to half an hour to vote. Because I care about things that aren't just about me and my kind.

Somebody has to because there are still a lot of people like you in the world who don't.
