After reading alot about these guys, Z Johnson is a better RG, and E Jenkins is a better LG. I know that leaves Wypler at C, or a rookie, so why not play the new guys at their strongest position?

The guy should be barred from seeking a new team for his own health.

I think the Browns thought Njoku would have been extended by now but couldn't come to terms in 2025 when they visited him in Miami. Then Harold Fannin came along.
Either way, it's not an big issue.

$17m?
I thought Watson's cap relief was supposed to be ~$40m. Hopefully this isn't all the cap relief we're getting from guys that were injured.

Huge deductible? I'm not sure but I would highly doubt that insurance would cover an entire players salary. You know how it works. The devil is in the details.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Either way, it's not an big issue. I enjoyed watching Njoku.. He was Fun... He was never going to make you forget Ozzie. But he was fun to watch and was productive most of the time. We're still going to need another TE.

I thought Watson's cap relief was supposed to be ~$40m. Hopefully this isn't all the cap relief we're getting from guys that were injured. I dove in a little deeper a few days ago. I won't bore you with the whole conversation, but this part is pertinent, AI gave me an answer with some vague terms, so I asked for a little depth... explain: "minor predefined offsets over five years as per the policy structure"
"Minor predefined offsets over five years as per the policy structure" refers to how some NFL player injury insurance policies spread a small portion of the cap relief across multiple future years, rather than applying the entire amount in one lump sum. Policy Design These policies often include a clause where, after the primary credit hits the next league year's cap (e.g., 2026 for Watson's 2025 miss), the insurer amortizes a remaining balance—typically around $5 million annually—over five years to match the contract's guaranteed money structure and avoid overwhelming a single year's cap.It also explained that these terms must be in the original policy. Teams cannot arbitrarily decide how to spread the payment after the fact. 5 years x5 million =25 million Then... 25+17 (the reported lump sum) =42 million I mean, I guess this may be a strong possibility?

Three for sure, maybe four.

He was .. did he just lose a step. Hasn't been the same lately Seemed like 2-3 steps. He was pretty thick last year. Thirty or so is when that middle life bulge is hard to avoid.

Gotta say, the more I watch this guy talk, the more I love the pick. I just hope the players can hang with him. He puts a lot of words out there.

Browns agree to terms with DE A.J. Epenesa, WR Tylan Wallace - NBC Sports https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profo...rms-with-de-a-j-epenesa-wr-tylan-wallaceFree agent defensive end A.J. Epenesa is signing a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the Browns, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Epenesa, 27, has spent his entire career in Buffalo since the Bills made him a second-round pick in 2020. In 2025, he played 16 games with two starts and totaled 32 tackles, 2.5 sacks, nine quarterback hits, two interceptions and four passes defensed. In his career, Epenesa has recorded 135 tackles, 24 sacks, 53 quarterback hits, four interceptions, 21 passes defensed and five forced fumbles. The Browns are also signing wide receiver/returner Tylan Wallace, Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com reports. Wallace, who turns 27 in May, is following Todd Monken from Baltimore after spending his career with the Ravens. A fourth-round pick in 2021, Wallace played 14 games with two starts last season. He caught four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown and averaged 24.6 yards on five kickoff returns. He has only 22 receptions for 305 yards and two touchdowns in five seasons, with one punt return touchdown.
