At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Nice read, Memphis. Jori Epstein has been rising up the national ranks. She does a nice job.

There's suddenly an opening over at The Athletic for a national NFL reporter. tongue

Thanks for sharing. thumbsup

First the article, then the interview with Jori, now "The Pick is In". This has been some really fun stuff to read/watch.

Most of you probably know, but each scout gets an orange dot to put on the top player they have covered for the year. This guy really has high hopes for Fano.

Now, the one caveat to all of this depends on Jordyn Tyson, Spencer Fano, KC Concepcion and Emanuel McNeil-Warren...

If the Browns totally wiff on all (3) picks, they would fail anyway, but if that happens and Tyson becomes an All Pro, well this will become another trade down that was epic failure.

The good news for the Browns is if any of these three become a better player than Tyson, it is an automatic win for the Browns. If all (3) become high impact players, Berry wins another 5 years as GM.

I applaud the process.

The results will come down the road. I hope they bear fruit.

At the same time I like the way Berry and his staff went about working this draft.

My fear was reaching for need alone. Once a team establishes their Board. You have to be true to the Board.

The Browns were chasing need but they did not give in and over-value the slots where they drafted.

I like the draft and believe the players will produce.
