In the small town of Selfoss, Iceland lives a giant. His name is Thor Bjornsson. He stands 6'9" and weighs 450 pounds.
He is the world's strongest man. He dead-lifted 1124 lbs.
He is a hero to one of my grandsons. Thor was in Game of Thrones.
About a week ago myself, my daughter and my two grandsons were in Selfoss. We were eating breakfast in a small place. We were chatting and I was not paying much attention. My back was near a wall and the bathrooms were close by. A guy came out of the bathroom. His back was towards me and he was within arms length away. I was looking at his back. I freaked out. He was the largest human being I have ever seen in my life. His back was the size of a half of a door with giant muscles. He was wearing shorts and his calves were all tattoos. His calves were the size of my thighs.
My grandson is almost fourteen. He is 5'10" and nearly 150 lbs. He is into weight lifting and he is really powerful for his age. He curls 35lb dumbbells. He saw Thor and lost it. He was shaking like a teenager would have in 1957 seeing Elvis.
So my daughter and Oliver went up to him and got his picture. He put his arm around Oliver and his hand was on Ollie's shoulder. It covered his whole shoulder like the paw of a grizzly bear.
So that photo will soon be posted on his bedroom wall soon. I will post the picture when my daughter shows me how.
