I want to keep Shedeur to see what we have in him. We only invested a 5th in him and he could turn out to be decent. However, if our FO decided to trade him I would ask for a 3rd but realistically we probably wouldn’t get that unless a team had injuries and was desperate. We probably would get back just what we invested in him with the ceiling being a 4th rounder. JMO

Based on current film, I really doubt we could get more than the 5th we have already spent on him back. I don't think he has proven anything to anyone outside of Cleveland that we all HOPE he can become. If we were willing to move him now, it wouldn't be a ringing endorsement for any team that would be interested in him... I can't imagine a team in a worse QB situation than us right now.
Who do you have in mind that would even be interested?

If you were to entertain offers to move SS before this season, say to a QB needy team, what would you need to get. I acknowledge he is mostly unknown, pretty unproven with a small sample for a body of work. He may be "worth" more now before he plays. What is he worth to us? To us he is probably still a 5th round pick. To some other team, maybe a conditional 5th rounder with the chance the pick could bump up to a 4th rounder depending on how he plays. The reality is he is hard to value. So much so we will probably not trade him and see how valuable he might be.

I am suggesting that at this point, SS may have more value as a "pig in the poke," and a deal might be struck before he plays a few games and the "real" SS is exposed, whether for better or worse. It has the feel of magic beans for our cow about it, but might get some help if we move him while trade partners are anxious , perhaps not eager, to grab a bargain-priced wild card. We don't need much to improve our investment. Green intrigues me. If we got a 4 for SS, I would be elated.

Thus far what they have witnessed is SS throwing 7 td. passes and 10 int's. I'm not sure after looking at that they would consider him worth anything more than what the Browns gave for him if that.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I can't get past the numbers either for picks vs. points. I am imagining someone who has immediate and desperate need for a replacement QB. SS will not skyrocket the cash market for any buyers, but future picks might be appealing. I am considering and asking if a camp injury might drive a deal for ss who some fans and posters have carried on about. I would need to see the deal, but I don't think he is a keeper at any cost and off the camp table.
