Dillon Gabriel and Taylen Green!

It will be nice to watch more meaningless action devoid of the usual QB Soap Opera.

Oh wait, that will be there anyway.

Is there anyone "on the cusp" we should be watching?

I wanna see Green’s athleticism. I have only seen him play one game in college. Against Ole Miss he was pretty athletic.

its all about Green this game. Can he add anything to our roster

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Most of the players on both sides playing in this game will either be on the bench or cut.

Not much interest at all. I guess seeing Green will be interesting.

I want to watch Green play. DG should be ok. I want to see Green's execution of offensive calls and his reactions. Also any reads. I predict he gets a lot of ground game. Not terribly nuts about preseason games. Just the annual "So What Bowl."

I want to see what we have in the way of Oline and Dline depth. I wouldn't mind establishing a point of reference for Green so we can start watching his development.

I think it will be terribly difficult in any way get a baseline in regards to Green at any level when it's the scrubs playing against the scrubs. We already know what his strengths are and all we could really see is an reinforcement of what's known. I don't think it tells us anything about what it would look like if he were injected into a regular season game.

The only thing I was really looking forward to was at least a few drives with the starters. But it seems the powers that be don't feel that having a starting QB who has been splitting reps, an entirely new O system and with two rookie WR's they'll be depending on as well as an entirely new D have any need for reps together in a game type situation before the season starts.

A very interesting concept.

I also think the starters should be playing a few sets of downs. After tomorrow night, we're not playing again for almost 2 and a half weeks. well. I'm not the coach.

I'm not the coach either. But when you have an entire new coaching staff and so many rookies you're depending on to start the season, having zero reps together during the entire preseason seems like rather basic math. Just like some faux starting QB competition you knew the answer to before starting the backup in last weeks preseason game trying to pretend it was still a competition. Some things are pretty evident.

It's not some prediction of the future as far as I'm concerned but an attempt at deception and zero reps with the 1's during the entire preseason under these conditions isn't what I would call a confidence booster to start off with.

I'm curious as to how this whole QB roster thing will play out. You can't just stuff Green on the practice squad. Hell, there were strong rumors that someone in the North wanted him. All signs point to us going into the season with 4 QB on the roster.

That said, the biggest question with Green is his nearly "impossible to fix" mechanics, particularly the throwing motion. It will be interesting to dissect that with some live-game action.
