I was hoping to see WR Ben Patterson (6'5", 220lbs) on the practice squad

They might still bring him on. Never know what's going on. A player might have several teams competing for him.

I wonder if we'll claim Joe Milton
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I wonder if we'll claim Joe Milton I wonder where Milton will end up Any other thoughts? Milton is about on the same level right now as 4 other members of the current team. Which one would you cut to make way for Milton? Look, Dallas didn’t think much of him, 32 other teams didn’t think enough of him to put a waiver claim in. He had one helluva game back in 2024, but one game does not make a professional player. We have what we are hanging on our season on in the locker room right now, there isn’t a savior coming for this season. Haslem and the front office are resigned to losing if that’s what it takes to get our choice of WB in 2027.

.... there isn’t a savior coming for this season.... Truer words have never been spoken. I could see us scrounging through the Joe Miltons in the league in the back half of the year when we've already burned through 1-2 QBs.

I agree. We don't need another QB in the mix. It is confused enough. We are better off looking for players who might make the team around the QB a little better, be it on O or D.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

I believe that's exactly where they are. Since you do not have an actual QB this season, you build the rest of the team for your QB of the future. It has always been the question of which came first, the chicken or the egg. In this case there is no chicken so the answer has to be the egg.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

THIS is exactly why we are in the predicament we are in.. trying to think way too far out of the box and ending up with long shots in the top position in football. We can't even consider a 6 foot QB from Youngstown State in the first THREE rounds, let alone the first round. I know it's the season of saying what ever you can to get a click, but man oh man... this takes it to another level. We will and need to get the best TOP QB prospect we can with the draft capital we have in 20I f27, not sit around until the Rams pick to take someone that is a grand long shot, trying to out think everyone in the league. I fully understand this was a joke by the way...
