He was and still is part of the problem with ANY team he plays for- he has the mentality of a linebacker and body of smallish QB. He cost us games/season with his mental, I'll run over the guy to make A (single first down) play, he got hurt in Tampa too because of his mental attitude. I think Tampa was dumb paying him......mental, time will tell. Additionally, NFL- not for long- Sam D lasted five plays- sack could ruin his season-- you never know. Wonder if Watson last in a run option offense. Go Browns!!!!

Oh, please. Baker is tough as nails and has an Iron Man track record of availability. I don't think he's even been injured in TB, you're just making stuff up.

Tough as NAILs doesn't make you a SMART QB- 2021 season, second game, Texans, Baker plays linebacker and tackles....problem, he tears his left shoulder up and wears a harness the rest of the year, goes from 11-5 to 8-9.....playing in a harness, he didn't miss any games cuz HE's tough as nails, but the Browns leadership let him walk instead of paying him.......he's a 50 plus million QB now.....so our guys were dumb. JMHO, he cost us big time due to his tackling mentality.....good for him, glad he's a success/ married and settled down- some. Hope he doesn't get hurt tackling for the BUCs, Go Browns!!

And $hit happens bro. Most QBs will run towards that play to make a tackle and prevent a return.

The ones that won't? I don't want on my team. Period.

So, Brady- he throwns an interception AND gets out of the way during the return- you don't want the best QB of all time. Qbs are NOT paid to tackle- hope Baker doesn't get hurt trying to tackle Ward after an interception in Week 2......Go Browns!!!!

I totally agree with Fate...

My qb throws an int and doesn't try to tackle the defender because he's afraid of getting hurt...

I wouldn't want that type of player on my team.

I agree. If any QB throws an INT I would expect him to at Least TRY and make a tackle.

Baker is an average at best QB. Smallish, doesn't always read defenses great, turns ball over too much but his heart and toughness cannot be questioned.

I'll take that "average at best" all day, every day, and twice on Sundays. 🏈

I would take Baker over our current crop of QB's and obviously trading him and getting Watson was the wrong move. Baker just will never be a Super Bowl winning QB. He just does not have that kind of talent. He would have kept the Browns relevant last few years had the move not been made. Drafting him over Josh Allen and Sam Darnold was a huge mistake by the Browns. He is not a top 10 QB, but he is not a bad QB. He strings together a run of games where he looks like a top 10 QB but then follows up with a string of bad games. His career to this point shows the same trend over and over again.

I wouldn't say that he can never win a SB. I would certainly agree that he would need a very good team with a great D behind him in order to do so. He isn't that type of "Captain America" QB. But at the same tome he is a motivator for his teammates. But if NFL history has taught me anything it is an average or just above average QB can lead a great team to win a SB. Doug Williams did. Mark Rypen did. Trent Dilfer did. Jeff Hostetler did. Brad Johnson did.

So last season he broke the NFL sack record and this season you're basing some silly remarks on one game? Are you trying to make yourself look foolish on purpose?

Rams and Myles got a reality check.

Maybe they are not a super team. Myles will be 31 in Dec. He missed almost all of Camp. Played in the Australia Bowl. Did not record a tackle. Said his knee is not healthy.

mmm

Life over 30 in the NFL can be cruel. Bodies don't hold up. Even bodies like Myles.

We were not going to win with Myles. We did the right thing. We got what we could.

I agree on all your points Bone. This trade may end up turning out better than we think. Time will tell. Some people I know said the #1 we got from the Rams won't mean much because they'll probably end up in the SB so the pick will be at the end of the 1st round. My reply was simple. Isn't better to have your own pick in the 1st round plus another one at 31 or 32 than not? You can select a very good player there unless you use it to move up.

Verse made the deal.

He is five years younger than Myles. IMO we probably got the best of Myles. It is hard to repeat what he has done as each year goes by.

Football is a young guys game. Your body takes a beating.

We should get a good player in the first round no matter where it ends up being.

I think they did the right thing in trading Myles over the long haul but I have no idea how them losing this game is related to that.

As FATE pointed out the Rams waited until the last minute to go to Australia. There's a 17 hour time change. They had no time to acclimate to the jet lag at all. I believe some people greatly underestimate the impact that has on a person.

I think that was more a matter of Shanahan outfoxing McVay who brought the 49'ers to Australia on September 4th. The 49'ers were ready and the Rams were not. At least from my vantage point that was shown to be true in every facet of the game. Even a 3 to 5 hours of jet lag has a big impact. I can't imagine what 17 hours would do.

Time will tell I suppose. The next few weeks should give a better window into seeing which one it was.

It actually is a 11 hour difference, 14 hours from the eastern time zone. I think you accidentally added 3 hours and not subtracting.

After re-reading your post it appears you were talking about the flight which is between just under 16 hours to 16 1/2. Both would cause problems imo
