Hi, All I am very sad to share this news; my best friend in Toledo, Robert Clemens, aka, Clemdawg, passe away last night in his sleep. Many of you new him as a legendary Dawgtalkers contributor, and so you know of his mastery for insight, compassion, and patience, when presenting his views, and counter views, on all things Cleveland Browns related. He truly loved this forum. I'm certain he has shared with you his "womb-to-tomb" identification as a lifelong Browns fan. That having been said, he will no longer be able to share his sharp wit, and love for the Browns, with you going forward. My heart aches for his absence, and to those of you who knew him in this forum, I offer my sincere condolences. p.s. Should you wish to reach out, I can provide details on where to learn about any funeral and memorial plans. My proper name is Reed Anderson, and my email is maxian419@gmail.com. 419-345-3956. God Bless Clemdawg! Go, Browns!

Unbelievable! This is heartbreaking news. He was truly one of one and probably provided more quality in every post than anyone at this address. He will sorely missed.
So sorry for your loss, Reed. Please let everyone know how much he was loved in this little corner of cyberspace.

OMG. I was hoping this was his dog dying or something. That hurts. I met him on several occasions. He hooked me up with tickets to a Toledo Symphony Christmas concert a few years ago. He was uber talented on the cello. We chatted on fb, and he always had words of encouragement to share. I always planned on meeting up with him again after one of his concerts, I cancelled out on him twice. Now it will never happen. RIP Bob. He's the one who started the #gmstrong movement. I'm dumbfounded, he's been pretty active on fb.

This has been a rough year, and it just got even rougher with this news.
My condolences to all of his family and friends. May God offer comfort to all who love him.

Damnation.
Horrible news. Heartbreaking.
Over the years on top of the Browns I shared a love of jazz with Robert (Clemdawg).
My deepest condolences to his loved ones.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Sad day.
RIP Clem keep playing your cello

Shocking news. My heart is saddened. I was just thinking it was about time to get a Clem sighting. This wasn't the expected sighting.
My prayer is that Clem's soul is by God's side and his families and friends hearts are in Gods healing hands.
Total shock.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

I just got the news from a mutual friend a little bit ago. This is so unexpected and came out of left field. This world was a better place with him in it and everyone he met was a better person for having known him. I know I was certainly blessed to have known him. This world lost a good one. My heart and condolences go out to his family.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

We are losing our friends and fellow posters too quickly. This is Mother Nature's way and is inevitable but it still is painful and tough to take. Condolences to all his family and friends.....

Very sad news to read. He was a smart, eclectic guy - and he loved this forum. Prayers to him and his family
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Boston is far to the left as KC settles into the slot. Fannin is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Sampson are split in the backfield as the ball is hiked ... Here we go."

I’m heartbroken at this news. Clem was one of the people in my life that inspired me to make a run at my art career. He was a huge cheerleader of my creative spirit and was one of the first to congratulate me when I finally made the leap of faith and left nursing for art for good. Last time I was home in NW Ohio I looked him up and we met for coffee. We’d planned on making that a yearly thing with my visits home. I’m so grateful I got at least one in. He and I hit it off in person just as we had on the web. My heart hurts knowing he’s gone. He was a sweet, genuine, and creative man. The world lost a great. May you rest peacefully Clem.

Hey all. Been a long time since I've been around. Life and all that. But this was the first place I thought of when I heard the news.
Last year my wife, parents, and I went up to Toledo to see Clem perform. Afterwards he came out and we got to talk for a few minutes. Just such a great great man. So interesting and kind and talented.
This is a true loss. Just a huge loss.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

This is just awful news. What a gut punch. May he rest in peace.
