I didn't put this in the "Girl advice" post because this isn't me asking for advice. This is me finding the solution and me kicking myself for how STUPID I was even though I knew what I was getting into.
I never dated this woman, I did like her for a time, but generally we were close friends for the first 2 years of college.
But in the end, she was just a manipulative, leeching word that rhymes with witch. And she was a Bengals fan, to boot, but that's beside the point.
We'd often go to lunch and dinner together, and somedays we'd go to the market afterward so I could use up some of my extra meals. It started off small "Can you get this for me?" Sure, no problem, what's a couple bucks out of all the money I had left over?
"Can you buy me a drink?" (at the bars)
"Can I borrow $20? I'll pay you back!" (she never did)
Meanwhile, we'd hang out during the week, but not on weekends, which was when I really wanted to hang out with her. She never would, she was too busy with "her hockey boys or her girls."
But the constant asking for favors continued. "Will you drive me to work?"
"My TV broke, since you bought a new one, can I borrow your old one?" (I DID get this back only because I hounded her recklessly for it)
I kept calling her out on the fact that she kept leeching off of me, and she'd always get mad at me for thinking that way. We'd argue, we wouldn't talk for a few days. Then a few days later "Yeah can we just forget about this and go to lunch?" she says. Of course, I'd give in. I know she had a troubled childhood (think a real-life Meredith Grey), I kept thinking maybe this was a product of her growing up. And once I met her flighty as hell mother and hippie brother (sibs weekend...my brother absolutely hated him), my suspicions were confirmed that she pretty much comes from a crazy family.
But of course, her CONSTANT asking for favors continued...and ANY time I'd ask for one in return it never happened. Ok she bought me Taco Bell a couple times, that's it.
Then this past summer came, she rarely called, would get mad at me for texting her cuz "they cost money" yet she'll text me whenever she pleased, in fact threatened to have her step-dad threaten me if I didn't stop. (and no, I was not a lunatic about it, honest)
This past fall I saw her maybe three times...at this point I was pretty much sick of it all. She would always talk smack about the "Clowns" but once the Browns beat the Bengals she said "I don't care about football (LIE! she loves football)." and once the Bengals tanked she said she didn't care about the Bengals. By this point I was hanging out with my friends more often and I've met girls who are far, FAR nicer and don't ask for a thing.
So this past winter break she deleted me off of Facebook, I asked her why and she said "I didn't realize I did it." Well, she never added me back. I sent her a text asking why and she didn't answer.
So finally, I leave her the nastiest voicemail I can think of. I call her the worst kind of woman and that I should have known how she's just a leech, irrational and generally a rotten human being and that the Bengals were trash (but that's beside the point). Basically I told her off.
Just makes me wonder how I could have been such a fool when I CLEARLY saw she was a leech and generally a miserable person, as she would put it "I rarely hang onto friends, boyfriends, anyone. I wonder how you've stayed around so long." Whatever, it's over now. I just needed to share the story of the absolute WORST kind of woman.
I am much, MUCH happier and better off today, by the way.

You're young and will make the same mistake again. Eventually you should learn, hopefully. You are not alone, many many men and women make the same mistakes. Just not me. I was married at your age and still am to a wonderful woman. i guess I got lucky.

Heck i wouldn't of even said anything to her after the facebook thing. Its pretty clear to me that she's the type of girl that likes the drama, etc. of stringing people along. Although i still think its hilarious that people take "deleting me from facebook" as a horrible offense.This coming from a guy who wouldn't be caught dead on facebook or the other one ... i forget the name at the moment. Anyways, glad you're onto new and better things. Nothing like getting out of an abusive relationship. It's like the sun coming out from behind a cloud

It's the principle of it...if someone asked for that much from you, then can so nonchalantly throw you away like that, shouldn't that anger you? Someone she referred to as "her good friend Ammo?"

That's why me and my brother have brought to life the real live version of No MA'Am.... We got members and weekly meetings.... Gets those of us with women away from them to complain and have a good time, and those without women can remind us all why we hate them.. haha.

You didn't tell us the most important thing? Did she or did she not,....Nevermind. Seriously Ammo, she sounds like a real piece of work and you sound like a stalker. If you have to hide your wallet when they come over then they're not worth the trouble...Stick to not knowing anything about Football, this chick is trouble with a capital T.

Ammo, here's a tip. Women do NOT like to be treated like gold, no matter what they say. I'm not saying beat or degrade women, but be some what of a jerk. For some reason they LOVE it, and if they say they don't their lying. This is fact. If you would have treated that girl like garbage she would have had her whole face book dedicated to you.

After one or two of her antics, she would have been history in most people's books. I can't believe you considered her a friend for 2 years. You did nothing but give her confidence that she can continue those behaviors and you'd be ready and willing any time she needed something for free. She's probably already got another weekday sucker on the line. Live and learn, my friend.

I don't really see her as the worst kind of woman, I could EASILY think of some peole who are much much worse. She like to get things from people. Tough. It probably didn't start with her, and it probably won't stop with her. Just keep your head on right and keep good people in your life. Quote:

It's easy enough to say no, if parents can do it in the supermarket with their small children, then a college student can too... As for the phone call at the end, call me old fashioned, but its not something I would ever do. Just cut your loses and don't worry about her.

What truckstop wisdom book did you glean that information from ? If you have found that to be true then I might advise you to seek a better class of woman and stay out of the strip clubs looking for a mate .
May sound trite but I'd say treat a female friend like you want to be treated and if they don't return the affection that you give in the manner that you gave it then don't befriend that person. JMHO

I MIGHT be angry at her but I also wouldn't give a crap enough to make anything of it (like stalk her). THere are plenty of people in this world to worry about one who doesn't care about you. We all have someone that we spent too much energy on. At some point you learn its not worth the effort. Hopefully you have now learned your lesson.

I couldn't help but chuckle when I read this...the stalker part was funny because that's exactly what I thought when I read this. I think young Ammo is probably leaving some out of the story.
Someone said something about women wanting to be treated like crap. That's just not true.
What they don't want is for someone to try too hard which it sounds like you do. Trying too hard is a subconscious message that it's the only way you can get them to like you...as if there is something under the surface that you are hiding.
You want to know the secret to picking up women? First, be yourself. Second, treat them with respect. And third, you have to really believe in your heart of hearts, that if that girl walked out the door, it's no big deal to you. If you really believe that, it will show in your actions and attitude. It will allow you to be genuine. And it will reveal that you've got nothing to hide BECAUSE you are happy with or without them. They are not the end all of your existence.
If you can learn to believe in this - and trust me it's true (there are tons and tons of women out there) - you be able to date all the women you want.
Then you can pick the one you like best.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

What im saying is you do not need to treat women like that, Maybe the few you have had in your life were misstreated at an early age? and that is all they know? But you treat each and everyone how you would want to be treated! And as far as me walking around with my tail between my lag's, I never have ! and never will! You get back what you put forth! Well good thing you know me so well. Been with same woman for 6 years. Yeah maybe you are my dad, and maybe im nailing your wife. anythings possible right? All I was saying is you don't bow down to a woman or they wont respect you for long. I've seen it with other relationships. Maybe you should pay attention and get out of your love boat fantasy.
