Well, I signed up for this one credit class that I thought was going to be not that bad, but I find out that it is. The course has us create forms, reports, tables, etc. If anyone is experienced in this maybe you can answer my question: When U am creating a form with a subform in it, I select the primary table, pick all the labels I want to be in the tables. But then the system is supposed to ask me how I want this data DISPLAYED, but for some reason my system just skips over this and as many would say I'm SOL.... Is this a default setting or something I might need to switch off? Anyone have the slightest idea?

I'm not understanding your question. So, the data is not displaying properly? And your talking about MS Access right?

I'm guessing he's talking about Access as well, but I haven't used it in awhile.
my wife is a master at access if this question isn't answered I'll have her look at it and I'll act like I'm smart and came up with the answer.

LoL. My wife is clueless when it comes to computers and always asks me Brownie, I took a pretty in-depth Access class last spring. I have all my assignments still but am confused on what you are trying to do. The display and I'm pretty much SOL doesn't tell us a lot

Ok, here it goes. I select my table, which is named Trainer. I pull down the form menu and go into form wizard, from there I'm allowed to select a number of options from each table to include in my form. So I select the options that I want and then I hit next. Now this is where it screws up. The computer is supposed to ask me how I want to arrange the data, but guess what? It doesn't. So in other words, I can't display the data I want to. i spend a lot of time on this and got absolutely nothing accomplished, very frustrated at this point in time.

Can you try to create it in design view?

I just tried to creat it in design view, I got the first part like I always do, that's the Trainer table. Now the book says to add in a subform, which would be from the Client table. I can get everything to show up, it's just incorrect, I don't know why. Maybe I will go down to campus tomorrow...

How is it incorrect? Wrong fields? Wrong table?

Yeah whats incorrect, the fields all out of order? The labels i the wrong columns, ect? Is it just the text doesn't look right and have you clicked on "format" and looked at those options? Doesn't sound like you just don't like the way it looks but it's all out of order or something to me.

Well, there were a set of trainer who had previous work histories. That was where the client table came from. And each person worked it about 2 or 3 places with YTD income, amount due, amount paid, etc. When I do the subform to include that info, the program just doesn't do it right, I don't know whether something doesn't compile or what. I wrote my teacher an email, I'm going down there tomorrow to the comp. sciences building. Someone should be able to help me. Thanks for the replies everyone!
