Tuesday morning around 12:00 I heard someone knocking on my family's door. What's really weird is that no one usually knocks. The only time someone knocks is when people think the door is locked, but in real life it really just is hard to turn. So, I open the door and feel a large clunk on my head, for about a good second I see only white. Turns out some wannabe gangstas came into my house who were former friends of my brother decided it'd be a good idea to come and invade my house and try to rob him. Completely dazed and confused I continually get smashed over my head by some random makeshift weapon. After much run towards safety I manage to make it to my parents bedroom at which point sometime I woke my parents and they come out and scare them off... The cops are currently looking for them, I sincerely hope they find 'em There is a lot of this story I left out... the message though still remains clear... Point don't answer the door at that timeframe unless your armed.

Man I''m sorry to hear about this. Hopefully the authorities will be able to find the people who did this. But you might want to think about some protection. Like maybe hiding a small pistol in a closet or something like that. That's what we do at my house.

Definitely looking into some sort of protection... my mom works for a Low Voltage Wiring company that installs cameras and security systems, she's going to get some techs to set up some cameras. As for the inside my mom doesn't want a gun inside the house especially with a 3 year old... so they're looking in on a taser.
As for my brother, 10 months ago this punk kid thinks that my brother ratted him out to the cops for having 6OZ of weed on him... but he never said anything. It was purely some dumb "Intimidation" ploy.

20 Stitches and a good couple of staples... Doctors also did a CT scan to see if my skull or my brain was injured... everything came out okay.

Personally if I was you, once i healed by brother would be getting a nice ass beating. Obvious your brother is a pothead, and if you got your ass beat because of him, I'd kick his ass double time., plus make his sorry ass pay any medical bills. I have no issue with his drug use, but when it affects family and or friends then it becomes and intervention, an ass beating intervention. I know he's family but sometimes a family member needs a good smack or 2.

My parents actually went down and filed one of those notes to legally evict him. He was already trying to leave anyway... He is also going to be paying for my medical bills it's been settled already.

Man, those wounds look bad!  It is very sad in this day and age that we have to be much more careful, it is a crazy world and we just can't trust anyone! It is time to pack a gun man!  Seems as if your brother needs to find better friends, hopefully his addictions do not involve heavy drugs.......normally people that break into houses and do this kind of crap are addicted to some serious stuff that cost a lot of cash! The next time you hear someone knock at midnight.....I have a feeling your head will be spinning and you will realize.....it is not your friendly neighbor asking for a tomato for their salad!  Take care and be careful...........we all need to do it!

You can beat his ass before he leaves. your parents are being parents, ie... keeping his ass out of major trouble, more then he is in now, but either way if that was my kin, his ass would get whooped then would be told leave now, come back when you can grasp the real world. Honestly I doubt you got "punked" for 6 elbows, I bet there is more going on in his life then you or your parents know.

Wow man, that seriously sucks hardcore. Sorry u had to go thru that, but I also agree once you heal your brother should get his ass beat. If I'm not expecting someone I always make sure I know who it is or else I don't let them in. I don't need to worry about it for the most part though, but I have had some random person wake me up standing in my living room when I lived in Akron. We always had parties and had an enclosed porch on the front that never locked. I was sleeping on the couch and I woke up to some guy going in my fridge. Me and one of my roomates chased his ass down the street with a 9-iron while my roomie was talking to 9-1-1. They caught him and he said he was collecting cans from our trash when he saw our fridge was open and he was hungry. Obviously he was homeless  That was crazy as hell. If he was a psycho he could have killed me while I slept or something. That still freaks me out when I think about it

Sorry to hear that man. No kidding here.....I keep a sword...a 2 foot job by the door which I keep in my left hand held behind the door....I don't open the door far when I open it.....if someone pushes, they are getting a sword through the belly when they push their way in....after that I might be screwed, but figure my 2 dogs will help me out.....they love their Dad.

I'll always have my brothers Smith & Wesson with me if anyone tries to break in my house.By law I think they have to be inside your house though.I don't think you can shoot them outside the door.Crappy law,but I think that's how it works.Does anyone know for sure?
If I thought someone was gonna harm my family,it really wouldn't matter to me either way.I'd worry about that later.

Dang man, I hope them kids get what they deserve. Hope to hear a success story shortly, where them kids are either arressted or pounded.
If I was in your situation, I would have to hope I landed a sweet swing with my bat. Problem is thats no match for a gun, and while I would like to have one, I don't feel safe having one in the house with kids.

I won't own a gun, but what I do have other than knives is an empty roll of plastic wrap that you use when you work in a shipping department.
Those heavy cardboard tubes are indestuctible. I have smacked them against cement, steel whatever. They don't budge. I feel because that they are so light I can hit you much faster than I could with a baseball bat and it would hurt just as much. Faster reaction time.
Everybody needs a good dog in the house also.
Maybe I do own a gun?

That's why you drag them into the house afterward.
Yes, they have to be inside, of course if they start shooting at your through the door, then they are fair game.

That's not protection....a camera let's you see who's going to do you harm, and a security system will get someone there in time to draw the chalk line.

A taser's a step in the right direction, but you really need a lethal weapon...and some training in it's proper use and storage. No one but yourself is responsible for the safety of you and your family. You could easily have been killed in this attack. Do not place your life on the line with a deterrant.

These Thugs must be pretty stupid to break into a man's home....If you were so inclined you could have put a bullet in them or tasered their @sses to death in self defense and been legally in the right....I have friends who are in law enforcement who told me this....Just make sure they are in your home and don't shoot them in the back....
