This could be fun on what appears to be a glum Thursday. Spill some little known, absolutely useless facts or quirky facts about yourself. I'll go first.

- I must eat either burgers or chicken sandwiches with fries on top, and cold cut sandwich must have chips inside.

- It is my #1 personal leisure goal to see the Browns play in every NFL stadium.

- My cholesterol borders on 300 yet I manage a health club and provide cholesterol screenings for individuals and companies.

- I keep daily spreadsheets on excel that chart my daily alcoholic beverages consumed, 401K status, and miles run.

- Aside from white rice and 2-3 select cheeses, I hate all other foods that are white in color.

I take the pepperoni off my pizza and eat it seperately.

I'll order tomato on my hamburger, only to take it off and throw it away.

I regularly check outlets in my house to make sure there is nothing thats plugged in that doesn't need to be. I have an irrational fear of my house catching on fire, almost to the point where I'm OCD about it!

Trying to keep the immigrant workers busy?

- I Like experience based online games, but don't like maxing out my character, I enjoy the lower levels more.
- I wash and detail my car every weekend. Neighbors think I'm going to wash the paint right off.
- I have a dual monitor setup at work on a single monitor....I keep non-work related stuff on monitor B and have a hotkey to switch back and forth.
- Only thing I read is something that can be read in one short sitting (ie: magazine articles, newspapers, etc) I forget what I read before if I have to put it down and read it over time, like a novel or something.
- I won't go to bed til after 11:30, even though I may be tired at 9:30 or something and all asleep in my chair, I will lay there and nap until 11:30 then go to the bedroom.

- I don't throw out magazines, no matter what they are - I have dozens that are 20-30 years old, stuck in boxes in a closet, & haven't read 'em in years.

- My biological father, a retired military man, is still alive, lives less than 70 miles from me, and I've never met him.

- When I was 15, I wanted to be a rock star. Now that I'm 40(19 at heart), I still want to be a rock star.

- I have a thing for redheads. They are awesome.

  • I won the spelling bee in grade school 4 straight times.
  • I love reading about the Civil War and World War II
  • I was able to drink a gallon of milk in one hour.
  • In college, my buddies and I would go down our street in an office chair and down our stairs in a sled with fireworks on it.
  • Christmas Eve, 2003, I got drunk and drove my dad's riding lawnmower around the neighborhood yelling "ho ho ho!", while wearing a suit.
  • In college, one month, I was only able to pay rent because I won gambling in Vegas.
  • I will try any food once.
  • I have absolutely no cartilage in my right ankle joint, yet I still play basketball numerous times per week (and consequently pay the price the next day).

Rockstar - Same here.

I like women with long straight hair, preferably brunette. My wife is brunette, but her hair isn't straight.

Yes, we redheads are awesome!

* When I eat a PB & J sandwich, the PB has to be on top. Don't ask me why, it started when I was about 4. My family used to just make the sandwich however they made it and flip it over so I'd never know that the jelly was ever on top!

* I have several DVD movies, but I have never watched about 25% of them and they aren't my hubby's DVDs, they're mine. Hubby isn't much of a movie watcher.

* I work for a sell kitchen countertop appliances, but I'm not a great cook. Though, I could be pretty damn good if I wanted to. The things I do make are usually crowd pleasers.

haha, I love the wife a whole bunch but she's a brunette (they're OK, too ). The redhead thing is purely a lusty, infatuation thing, but quite innocent.
Honest.

Babe, your mention of PB&J reminded me:

  • I freaking love peanut butter. I will sit sometimes and just eat it straight from the jar.
  • Whenever I eat a sandwich of any kind (up to and including things like hamburgers), I smoosh it together as hard as I can to make it as flat as I can.

Bah...forgot one...

- When I was younger (5th grade), I was in love with a girl who used to put the dash through the number 7 when she wrote it. I copied this tendency from her, and still put the dash through my 7's to this day.

Pit -

The next time you're up in Cleveland, treat yourself to dinner at Mallorca downtown - it's Spanish/Portuguese cuisine, but they basically specialize in meat/fish/poulty. Their specials are my favorite, which include filet of bison, venison, or ostrich (I love them all, but ostrich is my favorite). At times they'll have rabbit as well, delicious.

I do that, too. The friend that taught me how to throw darts did it and it was easier to tell the difference between seven's and nine's on the scoreboard, so I've stuck with it all these years.

--I will not eat ketchup unless it is Heinz. If a nice restaurant brings me ketchup in a cup, I will not eat it even if they tell me it is Heinz. If I'm at a fast food restaurant and they have the ketchup dispenser, I will ask for the 'to go' Heinz ketchup in the packet even if I'm eating there.

-I had my tongue pierced in college and separated my shoulder crowd-surfing at a punk rock concert at Nautica ('96). Now, I'm a teacher and I coach football and track. (Oh, if my kids only knew.)

-I hate needles and will pass out any time I have to get a shot. My 18 month old is tougher than I am at the doctor's office.

-When I write, I print in all capital letters. (Luckily, I don't teach handwriting or cursive).

-I'm a mouth breather and my wife cannot stand to be near me when I eat cereal.

-When I was younger, we lived in a neighborhood that a had a huge hill going down my street. I use to ride down it on my bike while standing up on the frame with my arms out like Leo in Titanic. Never fell once.

-After my younger sister was born, I could never remember her name so I just called her "7-Up". I was 3.

--When I was a senior in high school, my buddy and I got into an argument with a woman who stopped to offer us help after I wrecked my car in a ditch. As we were walking away she pulled out a gun and started shooting at us. We ran like hell, and she hopped in her car and tried to run us down. Fortunately, we were near a wooded area. We ran in the woods and were able to hide. She proceeded to get out of her car and try to find us while shooting the gun. Luckily, we able to make it out of the woods to a stranger's house and call the cops. While in school later that week, GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation) agents came and we had to pick her out of picture line up.

Peanut Butter~ sandwich has to have sliced dill pickles or dill pickle relish on it. Whole wheat bread too.

Grilled Cheese has to be made same way as my BP sandwich. But I use 2 of the sliced style velveeta.

I will admit to being extremely OCD about my cats. When I leave the house, even if it's to take the trash out I have to know where they all are. When I get home from where ever I went I have to walk around and make sure where the girls are. (I know really goofy )

Now this one drives me nuts~ I have to make sure that my cash drawer is perfectly lined up. All the bills have to be neat and going all in the same direction. I can't stand a messy money drawer.

Useless knowledge~ I have weird hip joints....can slip my hips out of joint into a secondary joint.

In fact, I also won't shop at Giant Eagle, Dicks Sporting Goods, or buy Bayer products unless I absolutely have to. (They are all companies based in Pit). It is my small way of trying to bring down their economy.

When I was 13, at one sitting, I ate over 2 lbs of meatloaf, 1lb of mashed potatoes, a quart of milk and other veggies.

My Dad just shook his head in disbelief. My uncle, who loved meatloaf sandwiches as leftovers and watched as he saw he would get none that week, almost cried.

That same uncle nicknamed me "Scraggs" and "WhizBang". The first because my hair went beyond looking like a rat's nest at the time. The second because I really came up with some doozies when I would try to make up excuses for things.

I'll eat nearly any food put in front of me.

I'll put hot sauce on most everything, but not some weak, vinigary Tabasco, I'm talking habanero and/or capsaicin extract sauces.

I grow my own hot peppers. I grow Habaneros, Jalapenos, Thai Finger Hots and Cayenne

I recently ordered a package of seeds for the Dorset Naga pepper from England. The pepper cultivar currently holds the World Record for Hottest Pepper, defeating the incumbent Red Savina by more than double. They are currently clearing USDA APHIS customs.

Sorry for sitting here giggling about you rescueing tadpoles but all I can see is a jar of them on the counter and you didn't tell Michelle about them and she finds them. Kinda like me doing stuff like that to my mom. Then she would say, "I didn't find it and I'm not gonna take care of it. You are."

Have you ever tried or can you stand Dave's Insanity sauce? Bit too much heat for me.

MMM Yummy, hot sauce. Hey Purp, didn't know you were an expert on hot peppers. I've had the Thai fingers....man those things will peel the paint off the wall they are so hot. (especially when you aren't expecting them to be that hot)

Ya know Purp, after having had several conversations with you why doesn't it surprise me that you were called "Whizbang" when you were younger.

Back on topic. I have weird comfort smells. Things that would normally not be comfort smells for others. Marine Diesel reminds me of summers on our boat. The Marshes in Maryland remind me of when I lived in Aberdeen. The smell of fresh money (brand new) reminds me of the smell of the mimeograph machine when we were in grade school.

When I was a teen I had a neighborhood friend whos parents were Vienamese and my other friend who lived right behind them were Puerto Rican. My Puerto Rican friends father used to grow these habanero peppers whch he claimed were the hottest peppers you could get. I took some to my Vietnamese friends mother and she said " oh those are nothing, try these" and she gave me this tiny little pepper right off the vine. I like hot stuff but this little tiny pepper just about killed me it was so hot. You could take one of these little peppers and cook it in a huge kettle of chili and it would make the chili too hot for most to eat. I dont know what they werre called but they were insane. She used to grow a bunch of them and then make like a puree/sauce and use it in cooking. One little drop would spice up whatever she was cooking, which by the way was traditional Vietnamese fare and was just outstanding food.. if you like seafod.
