Thirsty German sells beagle to buy beer Eager for a drink, customer sells his step-daughter's pet for $53 BERLIN - A thirsty German sold his 6-year-old step-daughter's pet beagle to the owner of a bar to pay for beer, the Bild newspaper reported on Friday. The unemployed man offered to take the dog for a walk and then stopped at a bar where he convinced the owner to buy the 3-year-old dog for $53 (40 euros). I liked the other article this morning where the German guy was going to visit his girlfriend in Sydney Australia, and ended up in Montana instead wearing shorts and a t-shirt because he had misspelled Sidney and just wasn't paying much attention.
