An open one.

Honestly I cannot believe I am the only one to say Bell's Oberon. It is the best summer bear BY FAR and it is pretty strong (5.9).

Bells is a great brewery, only problem is it is is the state up north.

Nothing beats sitting out at a downtown rooftop patio bar with a cold Oberon during the summer watching the tribe.

I added Bells late because I couldn't remember the name. Luckily, my brother-in-law was online when I was making the poll and he's the one that drinks it. He bought it during a cookout we had for the summer. It was pretty good. Just forgot the name.....all I remember was the odd name and orange label.

Speaking of beer, I'm enjoying an ice cold Sam Adam's Winter Lager in a frosty mug right now. I went to 4 places looking for it, and bought the last 6 pack at that place. Apparently their Pale Ale for the spring is already out in January. Must have sold all their Winter Lager.

I'll let you know in about 7 years. My dad and brother both like Bud Light, but my brother can't afford it.

So you have 7 years to learn that Bud Light is the most watered down, low alcohol, no taste, beer on the market.

I thought that was Miller Lite.

Miller Lite has no bite or taste. It tastes like someone dumped water in my beer. Can't figure out how people like it, unless those are the people who don't like the taste of beer, and drink Miller Lite because it has no taste. Bud Light has some bite to it, which is what a beer needs. If I'm drinking something light and basic and drinking more than a beer with my meal, it's usually Bud Light or Mich Light.

British beer is the best for me!

I love Bass on draft........also Newcastle Brown is very nice!

America lager just does not get it.............not the same!

The best beer is brewed in England! That is just my opinion!

Amen. I brought a sixer of 16 oz. Miller Lites over to my friend's last night. Def. has less flavor than Bud Light.

Bud Select has the most taste though.

I respectfully disagree. Especially in draft form at the bar, I can spot a bud light a mile away, as it looks like water with a tinge of yellow. Miller Light has definately more taste, and unless they've changed the ABV of it in the past 8 years (I actually did a term paper on it in college), Miller Light is 4.2%, Bud Water is 3.4%.

X-mas Ale is good stuff.

If you ever find yourself in Kentucky, pick up a 4-pack (how they sell them) of Kentucky Ale's Bourbon Barrel beer. Had some last night (as a chaser for bourbon) and it was outstanding.

I prefer Miller Lite to Bud Lite.. Bud Lite has an after taste that I could do without and it also gives me much worse of a headache for some reason even if I don't drink that much.

Not sure if all these bottle drinkers on here will be interested, but I picked up a Heineken Light draught keg a few days ago, and its pretty tasty beer. It says it stays fresh for 30 days.

Had a new beer tonight that I never had before - Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball. Very good seasonal ale from California. My buddy brought it up from a bar he works at in Atlanta. 9% alcohol I would recommend it for sure if your ever in the above mentioned areas...

Marjax- I have the Heineken (not the light) draught keg in the garage right now. Pretty nice to get some draught beer without going to a bar. Easy to to put in the tap and start drinkin'.

Every time I see those kegs it reminds me of an old college story. After swigging 9-10 beers at happy hour, I went to the grocery store and picked up one of those small kegs of Warsteiner. Over the next few hours, polished that off. That's right about where my memory stops...

From what I was told by my roommate and others in my hall, I fell off my loft while sleeping (about 6" high) onto a non-carpeted floor, got up in some pain, told me roommate I was going to "run it off" and proceeded (in my boxers) to head outside in 30 degree temps, do a lap around Heritage Hall at BW, came back, jumped in bed, was snoring within a minute or two, and was fine the next day.

The moral of the story is that drinking too much German beer might lead you to fall out of bed and if so, go on a two minute jog and everything will be fine.

I have a tragic beer story to tell.

My roommate turned 21 last weekend. That's not the tragic part. The tragic part is what he bought at the liquor store.

Gave him directions, told him to come back with a bottle of something good.

Comes back with a 4-pack of Seagrams Calypso Colada "flavored beer." (aka a female's drink)

I honestly was at a loss for words. Clear violation of manlaw.

By no means do I consider myself a beer connoisseur, but with all of those beer options 17% of respondents prefer bud, bud light or bud select?

I like Dortmunder and PBR.

A good drinking and a cheap drinking.

Draw it out of the keg is preferred.

That is a very impressive list! Good job!

My #1 is Rolling Rock
#2 was Bud Select
#3 would have been Bud Ice

Bottle are my second choice, it's tough to find Rock on tap.

Now that you mention it, I don't see RR on tap much at all. I've seen it a BW3 here in Austintown, but really that's about it.

Thanks for the props. I had to do it more than once, because the time limit on the post was up, and it made me redo it.

Just had some Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss tonight.

I've had some of their other brews and enjoy them, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Very good for a change of pace. Not exactly a beer you go and pound, but a nice change of pace when your just sitting around relaxing on a nice night.

Even though no one voted for it, my dad loves St Pauli Girl. It's a good beer, just not my favorite.

I disagree...I find them quite easy to pound because its like drinking fizzy Kool-Aid. In fact, that was my MO while watching the Indians beat the Yanks on Friday night...

I had to vote for the Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat and the Blue Moon Harvest White because I'm a wheat beer kind of guy, but there are plenty on this list that I'm fond of.

Bud Light and Bud Light lime are not real beers. They are for empty-headed chicks, high schoolers, and others without an ounce of taste.

Rolling Rock, Killians Irish Red, Blue Moon Harvest White in that order. Bottles please.

I havent really gone to parties for about a year, and decided to go to one after drinking mostly Rock...they had Natty and Keystone. My first thought was "it's free heck with it" After one I had to go to the store and buy a 6 pack of Rock.

Its interesting that since I've turned 21 (22 now). I drink far less, but spend almost the same. I also enjoy it much more and feel better the next day!

If you tastes continue to grow, you'll grow very tired of Rock too. You'll start searching out specific microbrews that fit a taste need. Rock will taste like Natty and Keystone soon.

I was a fan of the Rock when I was 21....I can't bring myself to drink it now. Not that I'm a snob and/or Rock is beneath me, it's just that your tastes continue to grow. My current brew of choice is Cane & Ebel. It's a 7% rye beer out of Warrenville, IL. Good stuff! And at 7% you don't need to drink much to get you going.

Not really. I drink all kinds of beer. Preferably those with more than "an ounce of taste," but I have a 12 of the Bud Light Lime sitting in the fridge, and that stuff is great. Tried it out and loved it.

Sam Adam's Summer Ale is out now, gotta pick some of that up. Just finished up the Winter Lager that I had (skipped the spring Pale Ale).
