Who cares about the hype? All you people complaining about it are the ones feeding into it.
The kid is making one of the most important decisions of his life. Last time I checked today was not the day in which he HAS to make a decision.
If the schools don't want to wait they can pull the offer.
Maybe he doesnt give a crap about that "BrownsBabe" or "playoffmaker" are waiting on his every move and is making sure that he makes the right decision? I know its tough to believe.

And if you actually read what I said, I said I wasn't aware that he still had time to make the decision. I thought that he had to make his decision by today. I'm not feeding into any type of hype, I'm only passively interested in Pryor as an OSU fan.
Yes, college is an important decision, but I don't see anyone else making such a production out of that decision, and I can't recall kids in the past doing the same. (but, I don't follow the recruiting stuff closely). More power to the kid for milking the situation, but I am not waiting on his every move. You'll notice that until last night I haven't even been posting in this thread. Like I said, it's a passive interest and a way for me to clarify the recruiting process. My initial post was based on the thought that he had to be signed by today.

Obviously, rumors are swirling at this point but many people are saying that unless something changes, that Pryor is down to UM and PSU. He'll most likely take a weekend visit to Penn State and decide this sunday or monday.
Take it for what it's worth but it's all over the rivals message boards. It could change just as quickly but it was reported Pryor was going to announce UM until his father expressed his preference that he go take an official visit to Penn State before deciding. So, like any 17 year old kid you listen to your dad and take the visit.
I'm sure more details will be out soon but it seems as though Penn State is making a late push and could land him.

I do understand what your saying and we have covered this at the beginning of the thread, but one thing to think about.....Were not the only people and were not the first to say this kid is milking all the attention he can get and he's made a game out of the recruiting situation, We on this Dawg talk message board may think were smarter than the rest and may think were the ones with all the answers and were the first, but really this Pryor situation has been discussed by college recruiters and coaches, just last night on the way home from work an the radio a college Mel Kiper type guy said he had heard from a couple college coaches that if this kid cant decide than they might have to remove thier offer, becuase they dont intend on continually playing this game....they have work to do and if he wants to be a part than great but if not, they move on. He also went on to say Terrell wants to play at OSU but his father is holding him back and wants him to sign elsewhere, but like I said this is all speculation,
so yes it is a big desision in this kids life, but even college coachs are saying enough already pick and sign, stop milking the system.

Where do you get your information from? You are always on top of the recruiting news and sych and I was just curious. I just visited rivals.com and it said that Roundtree was committed to Purdue, but I know that can change too.
I know they have a recruiting special on ESPNU too, but I figured that would be reserved for mostly 5 star recruits. Obviously I could be wrong.

I'm a Rivals member but they are posting everything on the school pages today as well.......
Andra, Michigan is cleaning up early.
RR and Co. took Roundtree away from Purdue, Center Ricky Barbnum away from Florida and RB Michael Shaw away from PSU. All 3 are 4-star players and Roundtree and Shaw were both top 20 players in the state of Ohio. It now gives Michigan 6 commits from the top 20 prospects in the state of Ohio, more then Ohio State has. This staff can recruit!

Yeah, I found a page on the wolverine.com and it has some announcements, but they are a bit slow to update.
All these recruits sound good to me. We need as many players to fit the new offense at possible and it seems they are making every effort to get the players they need.

You have got to be kidding me I just get tired of the wishy washy b/s. Tressel spent 8 hours in one day with Jenkins. Not to mention Tressel and our coaches should be with their families instead of wasting 8 hours with someone that is never going to sign.

I don't get this. Its only arguably the biggest decision of this kid's life and because he wants to open up more of his options to help him make the correct choice people are getting on his case. I hope he gets the decision right for him. These schools can, and will, wait on him because of his talent. Today is the first day of the signing period and because he hasn't made up his mind on the FIRST day, he's somehow wrong.

Dude, give me a break. I never said he would give a damn about what the outsiders thought. It is just how he has handled the situation with Oregon, etc. that has gotten to be a bit much IMO. This is a message board for opinions last time I checked.

Word is he was incredibly turned off by the repeated calls from the "brew crew." Said he felt like he was being stalked.

Many of us dont have a problem with him taking more time, your right it is very important and he should take all the timehe needs to make the right one, but some of us DO have a problem with the way he's been paraded around and milked the system for publicity.......that whats were complaining about....it's not the when but the how

I read on the ESPN ticker this morning that he's dropped Oregon as a possibility. It's down to UM, PSU and OSU (in that order - from what I've read elsewhere).
I think it would be really funny if all three schools pull their offers and then has to go to a Conf USA school. Although, I'd welcome him to Toledo!
And this isn't about him picking a university to attend. This is about which football program will give him the better opportunity to maximize his eventual move to the NFL (which he'll most likely leave as a junior). I don't blame him....but let's call it what it really is. He's no more interested in classes, dorms and cafeteria food as I am right now (I graduated from UT over 10 years ago).

Exactly, while it's a bit of a circus most people are getting bent out of shape or were banking on rumors from what are apparently unreliable sources. Everyone was speculating before NSD and apparently, no one had much of a clue as to what was going on.
Pryor has wavered throughout and it was pretty apparent that he was unsure of his decision. He has until April 1st to make it, so if he's not ready, he should wait. End of story. He doesn't need to explain it to anyone (or owe it to anyone) to do anything else.

Even if he signs with Ohio State, he's one of my least favorite guys already.
I know "it's the biggest decision of his life up to this point." I realize that. But I've never met someone toying with these schools like this, and I can't understand why it's taking so long to make a decision.
(and before I get lectured on it, save it. This guy ain't going anywhere for academic reasons.)
If the NFL is where he wants to go, I don't know why Michigan is even in the picture.
There's a difference between wanting attention and being a me-first, selfish jerk. No matter where he goes he's gonna get breaks that college students like me can only dream of.
I don't know the guy personally and I don't know his background (he could be squeaky clean for all I know) but he sounds like another PR headcase a la Clarett.
